Bartimaeus I got the seeds "Northern Lights Automatic" from Zamnesia almost two years ago after legalization. I stored them in the fridge.
Looking back, my first attempts were a disaster. I started the first plants indoors without proper light. They ended up "stretching" and falling over. Since I didn't have proper nutrients, the growth was lacking as well. Once they were on the balcony, I felt like I was battling every pest there was.
I've learned from my mistakes since then and I'm still learning with every grow. This time, I let the seeds germinate between a damp kitchen towel.
After about 5 days, I was already worried that it wouldn't work. But then the seed started to germinate. After that, it went straight into the soil. After about 4 days, the seedling was visible.

Bartimaeus Hello, just like the last times, I'm growing two plants in a small space on the shelf again.
- Filling in a fabric pot about 18 liters
- The soil has proven itself for me:
Floragard Professional Growmix
- Lighting:
Two SF-300 Spider Farmer LED grow lights with 33 watts each
Later, when the canopy gets denser,
I'll add a 9 W full-spectrum LED tube from Jungle Leaves on the side
I'll run the light for 18 hours again and reduce it a bit towards the end
- A small fan in front of the lights
- A small dehumidifier in the room
After germination, the seed went directly into the soil. After about 4 days, the seedling was visible.
At first, I only misted the seedling, but then I quickly started to water gently around it with pH-neutral water. I haven't set a specific amount of water yet and water by feel.
Fertilizing after the onset of flowering has worked well with the Floragard soil. If no deficiencies occur, I will do it that way again.

The Northern Lights Auto is still growing well.
I haven't watered it since the last entry because the soil is still moist enough.
In the meantime, it has also entered pre-flowering. As soon as the flowering begins, I will adjust the nutrients accordingly.

In the 5th week, the plant continues to grow very satisfactorily. It is increasing in size and shows no deficiencies.
I have fertilized sparingly once again.
About 2.5 liters of water, 0.3 ml/l Calmag, 0.1 ml/l Bio-Down, 1 ml/l Fish-Mix
When I water next in 3 to 4 days, I will change or adjust the fertilizer. I have removed large leaves and leaves that block light from the plant. I have lowered the board on which the plant is standing.

- Distance to the lamp: 29 cm

Bartimaeus Day 45
I lowered the board on which the plants are standing again.
I have watered and fertilized. I left out Bio-Down as the water with the fertilizer had a pH value of about 6.7.
- About 2.5 liters of water
- 0.3 ml/l Calmag, 1ml/l Bio-Grow, 2m/l Bio-Bloom, 1ml/l Top-Max
- Height: 58 cm
- Distance to the lamp: 28 cm
- Temperature: 24.4°C
- Humidity: 41%, the dehumidifier is turned off
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 48
The Northern Lights continues to grow well. I have maintained the watering and fertilizing schedule. I only added a little Bio-Down. The water then had a pH value of about 6.6.
Currently, I have a humidity of 26% in the apartment. I have therefore turned off the dehumidifier.
- About 2.5 liters of water
- 0.3 ml/l Calmag, 1ml/l Bio-Grow, 2m/l Bio-Bloom, 1ml/l Top-Max
- Height: 62 cm
- Distance to the lamp: 24 cm

The Northern Lights Auto looks really good. I've increased the amount of Bio-Bloom. I didn't add Bio-Down since the water had a pH of about 6.6. Furthermore, the humidity is very low both indoors and outdoors. That's why I left the dehumidifier off.
I removed a few leaves again.

Yesterday I watered the Northern Lights Auto, and I adjusted the amount of nutrients.
I lowered the board that the plants are on because the Caramel Auto has gained some height again. I placed a few boards under the Northern Lights to balance the distance to the lamp. The Northern Lights should have reached its final size now.
I turned off the side light since a few leaves and buds from the Caramel got too close.
I removed a few leaves and popcorn buds.
For the Northern Lights Auto, Zamnesia indicates 9-10 weeks from seed to harvest. However, I think it will still need at least 2-3 weeks.
- About 2.5 liters of water
- Calmag 0.8 ml/l, Bio-Grow 1 ml/l, Bio-Bloom 4 ml/l, Top-Max 4 ml/l, Bio-Down 0.05 ml/l

The 11th week is also coming to an end.
Yesterday I watered the plant. I only added Bio-Down and Calmag to the water.
Tomorrow I will take pictures of the trichomes.

- Calmag 0.8 ml/Bio-Down 0.2 ml/l
- Height: 64 cm
- Distance to the lamp: 34 cm
- Temperature: 25°C
- Humidity: 55%, the dehumidifier is turned on

I will wait another week before harvesting.

Next week we will harvest. 😁
------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 84
Today I checked the trichomes again. Some of the trichomes are now amber-colored.
Tomorrow I will harvest the Northern Lights Auto.
Two years ago, my first attempts with the Northern Lights Auto ended in failure. Back then, I had no experience with cannabis cultivation. Since then, I've learned a lot, and the Northern Lights Auto rewarded me with a great result.
The only training method I used was defoliation. The Northern Lights Auto tolerated that very well.
The plant itself took a few weeks longer to harvest than what Zamnesia indicated, but that didn't bother me.
Even with a simple setup, it can impress.
I'm satisfied with 48 grams of dry weight.

Today I harvested. While cutting, the Northern Lights Automatic had a very strong smell with a woody note.
I trimmed the plant wet. While cutting, I had to change my scissors multiple times because the buds were very sticky.
With 302 grams of wet weight, I am very satisfied. The dry weight should be between 50-60 grams.
This time I hung the branches on pipe cleaners. I saw this in another grow report. Great idea, it goes quickly and you don’t have to keep cutting tape and then tying everything up.
In about a week, everything should be dry.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
After 1 week, the stems were easy to break and I hung the buds up. After I took them down and trimmed them a bit more, they went into jars for curing. To regulate the humidity in the jars, I put in packets from Boveda and Integra. Now I will open the jars twice a day at first and later only once a day for ventilation. After 6 weeks, everything should be ready to smoke.
