So, Welcome to they exceptionally hardest grow in my entire grow-life, it's the Doctor Grinspoon from Barneys Farm!
I was looking for her for a long time, but she was sold out... When i got to Amsterdam i was able to give her a try, which made me even more fascinated by this strain. Her effect when i smoked it in Amsterdam was really amazing. The high came from below and started going through my hole body until it reached my head, where it decided to stay for a while! I was extremely happy and motivated, so far my favourite strain to smoke... So when i got back home i ordered 5 seeds from barneys with the 4/20 Code...
I put one seed in an eazy plug, which showed her head three days later, looking healthy ( i absolutely love eazy plugz)

hey guys,
i think i forgot some days, so here are the next ones i made, i think i missed 5 days of photographing. Sorry about that! This week i decided to put her in my gronest 39l pot, to give her enough space... She is growing healthy and strong, so i fimmed her... I dont think i'm going to do topping to her, i'd rather do more LST because of the time she needs to recover from topping, which i don't have... I put some mykorrhiza fungi close to her roots and some wood ash as a drench. On top there is some worm castings!
I fimmed my Dr. Grinspoon three days ago, so she gets bushier and doesnt grow so tall... But i´m a bit scared of topping her because of her long flowering time... I'll see how it works... I put her in a 39l Gronest pot with Bio Bizz light mix, yesterday i gave her some Plagron Alga Bloom, because i have no Alga Grow any more, if you have any fertilizer recommendation for faster growing, i would love to hear them! So for now that's it!

I'm thinking about topping my Dr. Grinspoon in order to keep her in a short height from 60cm. But im worrying about the time she needs to recover from topping, which is important time for her very long flowering period. What would you recommend? Topping or any tips on better LST?
Hey there there are a number of ways you can control height topping being one of them. I wouldn't worry too much about her long veg time, you're already committed to it and if anything the longer veg will help , sooner is not always better with topping , as the veg is already that long you probably can wait a few more weeks before topping, in fact that will help the plant recover faster. Another thing you can do later in veg is HST which is bending down some future colas until the crack but dont snap so you can keep them low and have them growing wider. And obviously LST, anchor the plant with a garden hook then use another garden hook to bend the main cola of the plant down so it grows at a bit more than 90° or almost parrallel ... you can do this but bend in less extreme ways but then the plant will be taller. Anyway hope this helps ! 🚀

At least the weather is amazing, but my Dr. is creating some weird streched down leaves, i don't know why this is happening, i gave her Bio Vega 4ml on 1l 4 days ago, maybe it was too much, maybe it's the pest on her, i don't know, she gets enough sun and receives the most careful treatment, but i've already heard she's a Diva😶
If you have any recommandations on treating her or what is wrong with her, i would love to her them!
The pictures were shot in the early morning, it rained over night, now it's sunshine and the leaves are still stretched down...
So i decided to put her in new soil yesterday in the evening, because i was scared of overfed her. Aswell i put some sand in the new soil to create a better breathing, and some Basal Rockdust ( sorry if this is wrong translated)... Then i cut off the half of the root bale, she survived.
Let's hope it worked and she will recover, she's a freaking diva
I don't give her nutrients, i'm just to scared of killing her... But she recovers and starts growing widely! See you in my next update!

She is enormous, growing like a tank with endless small branches. I put her into flowering now, so this should be hopefully the last week of vegetation! See you next week!
Finally she is in flowering! Let the long and hard way begin!
She is stretching really strong at the moment, and produces long white flowering-hairs (i'm sure they have a specific name but i don't know it)
I give her really less nutrients until she is showing some damages, i don't want to overfeed her... I'm really excited about the following weeks, let's hope for good weather!

Welcome to my Grinspoon-Diary! This is the first day of the week, she is doing well and her pistils are forming right now, but i can see that she's way slower than my CBD was when she went in flowering😇
High guys, at this moment i put my Grinspoon in a dark room at 17:00 and take her out at 22:30 (when it's dark outside), but tomorrow i will leave in holidays and i would like to keep her outside, is it possible with the flowering stage she's in or is she going to revegitate?
@TheDoctor Hi mate if the outside darkness hours are still less than 12 each day then yes it will revert to veg and all your time and effort will have been wasted.
I suppose you could take the risk it's entirely your choice Good luck

This week i found out i have Totem's phenotype on this Grinspoon, and i think Totogrow's on my Baby Grinspoon! That's exactly what i wanted, although the pearl-phenotype would have been better😋 But she is developing well and even growing in height with her small flowers, they look so damn special haha😜 But i give her 4ml/l Iguana Juice at the moment, bexause she has pretty bright leaves and organic fertilizer is pretty forgiving... But dude, her bud/leaf-ratio is totally fucked up😅 i hope the buds will thicken up a bit in the next month!
She's just amazing! I absolutely love her bud-structure. I don't smoke much, maybe 10 gram in a year, so it doesn't matter if this phenotype is low-yielding, cause it will be enough for years😅 The Stigmas develop a really reddish colour, which i really like😋
Sadly i discovered a small budrot on my Grinspoons... I cut it off and hope that it's not going to infect the other parts of my plant. But her buds are lovely and smell like citrus and mint! Really nice and sticky already😋
nothing important happened this week. I wasnt able to eliminate the budrot completely, some small parts were infected and i dont think i can fight it, but for a month it should be okay.. The buds are so small and airy, that i won't get surprised by a huge budrot coming out of the buds, like on my Tangie😬
Welcome to my Dr.Grinspoon diary! She is a really funny plant, like only one nig mutation😂 She is growing in height like in vegetative phase, developing calyxes without trichomes on them yet, and only one fingred leaves. I give her always 5 litre rainwater, with 20 ml Iguana Juice and 5 ml Green Sensation, she likes it a lot! Her leaf-colour is a really healthy dark green, and when she has Budrot-infected parts, it's easy to cut them off because the buds are extremely small. That's why she won't be killed by that!

I'm not quite sure if i have a damn funny phenotype or if she doesn't know how to flower, so she just reveg and flowers, she's strange! I give her nutrients every 3 days, she smells like a citron, which i really like! Although the bud/leaf-ratio is 10/90%😅 The Budrot is nearly gone, yesterday i found an attacked leaf, but that's it...

Sadly she revegged, so i needed to cut the upcoming branches off. I could have made hundreds of clones😅 but no tent no clones!
Other than that nothing special happened, they're ripening more and more, i think they should be ready in like 2-3 weeks 😇
So, welcome to my weekly grinspoon-update. I really prefer my other plants than my grinspoons, i don't like how they perform right now, i can't cut off so many upcoming revegging branches since there are hundreds. I hope i can harvest her in a few weeks, next year i might try her again with less vegetative phase and already in March or so.
So welcome to my Grinspoon-Diary, i will need to harvest her in a few days, budrot is growing and growing, but her trichomes are ready! So it will be a long harvest😬
So the long journey of the dr. Grinspoon ended with a huge amount of budrot and a revegetation which made the buds even less... the clone which I took from her came out as the best with close to no bud rot and better buds. I’m not that happy with this strain but I did some things wrong aswell and as she is a special one, I’ll try her again this year Outdoor I think. But this time with 4-5 weeks of vegetation and then directly send her into flowering... still the strain is really interesting to me
