Bunterbiber The Journey Begins! The wait is finally over! I’m diving into a brand-new project that I’m really hyped to share with you all. This run is a special collaboration between Canna Community Germany and Original Sensible Seeds. I feel honored to have been asked to join this project as a tester. A huge thank you to the crew at Canna Community Germany for initiating this and bringing me on board. I also want to give a massive shoutout to Original Sensible Seeds for providing the genetics—I’m especially grateful that they let me hand-pick these specific strains from their impressive assortment! For this run, I’ve chosen Black Orchid Auto and Purple Haze Auto. In this diary, I’ll be focusing on the Purple Haze Auto. If you want to follow the progress of the Black Orchid Auto, you can find the sister-diary right here on my profile! The Germination Phase: To get things moving, I started with a 24-hour soak in water, followed by the wet cotton pad method until those taproots were looking strong. Once they popped, they went straight into 0.5L pots inside my small breeder box. The Setup & Natural Security: They are currently getting settled under a 20W lamp with high humidity to give them the best possible start. To keep the environment safe, I’ve got a carnivorous plant stationed inside the breeder—it’s my natural "security guard" to ensure no fungus gnats mess with my seedlings! I’m really looking forward to seeing how these genetics develop. Stay tuned for the weekly updates! May the green thumb be with you 💚

Bunterbiber A Little Character from the Start We’ve officially rolled into Week 1! Germination was a total breeze for both strains, and it’s been great to see them popping up so quickly and developing their first real leaves. The Purple Haze Auto is showing a bit of "character" early on. She’s stayed a little smaller than her tent-mate, and the first set of leaves looks slightly deformed. It’s not uncommon at this stage, and I’m confident she’ll grow out of it as she matures and finds her rhythm. I’ve seen many "ugly ducklings" turn into absolute queens, so I’m just keeping a close eye on her! In terms of environment, I’m keeping the humidity high at around 75% RH. I’ve only watered once so far—the transparent pots show there’s still some moisture left, so I’m practicing some patience before the next drink. The plan is to let her get a bit more established before transplanting into the final pot next week. Make sure to head over to my profile to see the Black Orchid Auto, which is currently looking very strong and tall! May the green thumb be with you 💚

Bunterbiber We’ve reached the middle of the veg phase, and it was time for the big move! The Purple Haze Auto has been transplanted into her final 18L pot. I’m running the same setup as her sister: Floragard Professionell Growmix Organic enriched with two EPN 1 PLANT-PACKs. I made sure to prepare the pots five days in advance with some water to get the microbial life and mycorrhiza active and ready for the roots. The sun has been hiding lately, so she’s staying cozy in the tent under the 80W LED (at max. 60%). The two small fans in the setup are already paying off—you can really feel the stem getting thicker and more stable from the airflow. Feeding-wise, I’m keeping it simple: no extra nutrients for now, as the soil should have everything she needs until bloom. In terms of appearance, her leaves are notably lighter in color compared to the Black Orchid, but otherwise, she’s developing just fine and settling into her new home. I’m curious to see how that color develops! Check out my other diary for the Black Orchid Auto to see the contrast! May the green thumb be with you 💚

Bunterbiber Sun's Out, Slungs Out—And a Total Glow-Up! We’ve officially hit Week 3, and what a difference a bit of sunshine makes! The sun finally broke through over the last couple of days, and the response from the plants was instant. They took a massive leap forward in growth. Since she’s getting bigger, I started LST (Low Stress Training) to open up her canopy, and she's taking to it nicely (check out the pictures!). Feeding remains simple: just straight tap water for now, saving the extra nutrients for the upcoming stretch into bloom. I also treated her to a preventative misting of neem oil solution yesterday just to keep her safe and clean. Appearance: Remember how I mentioned she was looking a bit pale at the beginning? Well, she’s had a total glow-up! Since settling into the big pot and soaking up that real sunlight, her leaves have turned a much darker green. She looks incredibly healthy and vibrant right now, and I couldn't be happier with her progress. Don't forget to swing by the Black Orchid Auto diary to see her unique, dark foliage! May the green thumb be with you 💚

Bunterbiber We’ve rolled into Week 4, and it has been an absolute blast thanks to the gorgeous, non-stop sunshine we’ve been getting. I decided to take a bit of a bolder step with this girl and topped her at the beginning of the week. Some growers are hesitant to top autos, but she handled it like an absolute champ! She didn't even slow down for a second and just kept growing right through it. To support her shape, I’ve also been adjusting the LST alongside the topping. Just like her sister, I added a layer of pine bark on top of her soil to protect the upper layer from drying out under the sun. I'm still keeping the watering schedule down to just twice a week using straight tap water plus a bit CalMag. She has completely recovered, looks super healthy, and is charging forward. Head over to my other diary to see how the Black Orchid Auto is enjoying her sun-drenched week!

Bunterbiber Rolling into Week 5! We had a bit of a weather shift this week—the sun was mostly hiding, we dealt with some rainy days, and the nighttime temperatures dropped down to a chilly 10°C. But no need to worry, she handled the colder nights like a champ and kept right on progressing. I’m continuing to work her with some LST, making sure to keep all the growing tips at the exact same level to encourage an even, flat canopy. For hydration, I'm still keeping it simple and watering about twice a week. Appearance & Flowering: She has definitely widened out this week! While she’s spreading her wings, she isn’t quite as densely bushy as the Black Orchid, which is actually going to be perfect for airflow and light penetration. Make sure to swing by the Black Orchid Auto diary to see her super bushy structure and early blooms!
