Lemon Cherry Gelato Automatic

SundancerS The lady spent a week under the glass. That was a bit too long and too humid, as we noticed from the leaves. Still, she looks good and we're looking forward to next week. :-)

SundancerS Our Lemon Cherry Gelato is now 2 weeks old. It hasn't quite made it for the topping yet, but we're pretty satisfied with its development. It looks curious peeking out of its still way too big pot, but that will change soon enough. Hy-Pro feeding is strictly followed according to plan. It looks good so far. We're looking forward to the next week with her. 😀

SundancerS The Lemon Cherry Gelato is still small in the 3rd week of growth, but we're pretty sure it's going to turn out great because the growth is just getting started. The tight node spacing makes it a compact powerhouse that still needs to be tamed. This week, the training was more of a workout for us than for her: Topping, LST, and a lot of finesse went into it. The little lady hasn't given us any problems. She's healthy and brave, even though she currently looks like a mini version of herself. We're absolutely confident that she'll spread out significantly in the coming weeks. No reason to panic, she has great potential, and we know she won't disappoint us. The journey is the goal, and we're already looking forward to next week! 😷

SundancerS The Lemon Cherry Gelato has developed wonderfully despite its challenges and looks healthy. Sure, the training is very demanding and the extremely short internode distances make it a real puzzle task, but anyone can do it easily. It's now nice and compact, but we hope it gains some height during the stretch. We decided to be a bit radical and took both side branches to position the plant on one axis. And, who would have thought? It's taking it in stride and looks healthy and strong, as if it has never known anything else. The tight growth gives it a very solid shape, and even though it's still a bit small and bushy, we're excited about what's to come. Maybe it will stay small, but it will definitely be fit and a real highlight in our tent! :-)

SundancerS Our Lemon Cherry Gelato has really kept us on our toes this week. It's a bit like a plant puzzle that you can never quite piece together. With her super short internodal distances, she’s like a plant that thinks she’s in a miniature competition. Still, we want to shape her, even if it means getting a little too close. We've already removed two of the four main stems, and today we topped the remaining two as well; the plant therapist in us just had to come out. She’s still small, but she looks fit like a healthy little worm, so we're daring to do a bit more training. There are many shoots shooting out like little growth rockets in all directions, and her healthy leaves make her look like a bushy tree that's going to grow into a skyscraper next week. She still puzzles us, but we’re optimistic. 😘

SundancerS With the Lemon Cherry Gelato, it was once again time for an official haircut. The lady continues to stubbornly refuse to grow taller and prefers to sit comfortably close to the ground like a little green ball with a scent function. Despite her compact nature, we gave her a nice open center, which looked more like fine work with tweezers and a patience medal than relaxed gardening. We consciously decided to build the plant more into an outer crown. For that, some small shoots in the middle had to give way so that more light and air could reach the important spots later. With these extremely tight node distances, every little move is really a mix of plant care and microsurgery. Anyone training here should know which way is up and down on the plant. She is absolutely healthy, though, and she has surprisingly taken every intervention so far with calm. Now we are especially curious about when the stretch will finally kick in and how this ultra-compact structure will develop. By the way, she is already delivering quite a scent. You just have to look at the leaves sideways, and the whole tent immediately smells like sweet Gelato. Really lovely, this little one. 😅

SundancerS The Lemon Cherry Gelato is still giving us a few puzzles. The extremely tight node spacing doesn't make training easy. Keeping track of her is almost a little full-time job. It definitely takes some practice and a feel for it. The foundation for a good flowering phase is set, though. The stretch has kicked in, and we’re of course hoping for a nice upward push. Currently, it looks more like she’s going to stay a small, compact sweetness. Otherwise, the lady looks top-notch, lush foliage, healthy color, and no signs of over- or underfeeding. Within a few days, she completely switched to flowering and is producing flower sites literally everywhere. However, the lower flower sites had to go; no one wants to spend hours later trimming and curing “mini-fuddelbuds.” So far, so good… until next week! 😜

SundancerS Our Lemon Cherry Gelato finally started the long-awaited stretch last week and gained quite a bit of height. After weeks as a compact little bush ball, it seems she has decided to work her way up towards the sky. The many flower sites also clearly show: The lady is done with vegetation, now serious production is happening. The scent is particularly nice right now. Even now, she smells pleasantly sweet like ice cream and summer vacation. Health-wise, there’s nothing to complain about either. The leaves look clean, no spots, no deficiencies, just an all-around vital plant. Moreover, she has really started to "transplant" and is developing quite a thirst. Every two days, 3 liters of water disappear in the pot, the little drinker. The Hy-Pro nutrients are delivering reliably as usual and ensuring healthy development as well as beautiful flower formation. And with Green Sensation, there's a little treat for our lady on top. 😋

SundancerS Our Lemon Cherry Gelato has made a solid step towards flowering this week. Surprisingly, this little monster with the extremely tight node spacing is developing into a really beautiful plant. What initially looked like a botanical challenge is slowly starting to make sense. Everywhere, flower sites are pushing forward and visibly increasing in size. A nice flower structure is slowly forming, and we can better imagine where this journey is headed. The scent remains a real highlight. As soon as you get close to the plant, there's a pleasant mix of summer, candy, and ice cream. Even the daily check is twice as fun. In the center of the plant, it's currently a bit too dense for our liking. Two to four branches might end up competing for light and space later on. But before we hastily reach for the scissors again, we'll give the lady a few more days to possibly solve the problem herself. After all, she has surprised us several times in the past few weeks. Overall, she presents herself as healthy, vibrant, and significantly prettier than we would have expected a few weeks ago. Sometimes, the candidates with the most quirks just need a little time. 😊

SundancerS For about two weeks now, the Lemon Cherry Gelato from Zamnesia has been behaving like a real showcase plant. It's building up beautifully, developing a clean structure, and almost naturally spacing its branches just right. Still, we had to remove four strong shoots, but the wild "bush" seems to have finally come to an end. It's almost curious how this strain would grow completely without training. We've never had so many spots where you think, "A shoot could come out here too," with any other plant. This lady really seems to want to utilize every free centimeter. Right now, she looks absolutely stunning, in top shape, thirsty, and wonderfully aromatic. There's already a hint of summer in the air, accompanied by notes of ripe cherries and a bit of Limoncello. If the aroma continues to develop like this until harvest, it could get really exciting. So far, it looks like Zamnesia has done an excellent job once again. 😚

SundancerS Our Lemon Cherry Gelato is currently turning into a real surprise. After its somewhat chaotic start as a compact bush with node spacing from hell, it’s now showing why patience is sometimes the most important grower skill. The training is visibly paying off. The buds are nicely evenly distributed, developing at a similar level, and gaining mass week by week. We are particularly excited about the appearance. The flowers present themselves in a beautiful light green, almost white in some parts. Together with the even structure, the plant now looks significantly more elegant than we would have expected in the first weeks. The little problem child has secretly become a real princess. The scent is also noticeably increasing. Slowly, you get the feeling that an ice cream truck is making its rounds somewhere nearby. Sweet, fresh, and just incredibly pleasant. During our trip to Mary Jane, it took the opportunity to further beautify itself unnoticed. After five days of absence, a much more mature plant suddenly stood in the tent. The stretch seems to be completed by now. The minimal growth we are still seeing should almost exclusively go into the flowers. Just the way it should be. The structure is set, the buds are getting thicker, and we are slowly heading into the home stretch. 😻

SundancerS The Lemon Cherry Gelato Auto is still diligently building up buds. In the meantime, the pot is already showing a slight imbalance when lifted, which is usually a pretty good sign. Unfortunately, it has lost some of its originally perfect shape during the flowering stage. For two branches, it’s no longer possible without support. Note to ourselves: remove these two shoots early in the next round! You never stop learning. Otherwise, the plant continues to perform incredibly well. The high temperatures seem to be playing in its favor. Thanks to its enormous water consumption and impressive vitality, it shows no signs of heat stress so far. Instead of complaining, it prefers to keep producing flowers. The scent is also becoming more intense. Sweet, fruity, and with just the right amount of summer. It shouldn't be long now until the ice cream truck finally rings. 😜

SundancerS From the little punk girl to the model student and now, towards the end, back to a little bit of chaos mode. The Lemon Cherry Gelato Auto is really always good for a surprise. After finally getting all the shoots perfectly distributed, the buds apparently decided to start a little "Now we're going to get fat" contest. The flowers have become really massive and with their light green to almost white hue, they are absolutely budporn-worthy. Unfortunately, it's all a bit too much for the lower branches now. Without support, some branches would willingly bend southward. But you quickly forgive her when you look at the buds. Luckily, this wonderful scent has remained. Fruity, sweet, and so intense that you really have to pull yourself together not to just bite into a bud. Or lick it... well, you know what I mean :) A few days ago, we switched her to pH-adjusted water and the first reactions are already visible. Now she can relax and ripen. We're excited to see what she shows us in the final stretch. 😃

SundancerS For over ten days now, our Lemon Cherry Gelato has only been getting water and is taking its time to ripen peacefully. The buds have now reached a size that almost seems indecent. Unfortunately, we have the problem with the Gelato that the branches are struggling to handle the weight of the buds. But in the last week, that has increased a bit more. We're now supporting significantly more than 2 main stems, but hey, that's what support material is for. It's important that the buds aren't too close together to avoid rot. The scent is still a real highlight. Sweet, creamy, and with a hefty dose of summer, every time we check on it, it reminds us more of an ice cream truck than a cannabis plant. Just as we hoped it would be. So far, the grow has been almost picture-perfect. No diseases, no pests, and a healthy plant until the end. Now it just needs a few more days of patience for the last trichomes to mature. The finish line is within reach, and we can't wait for "Edward Scissorhands." 👻
