Stoney_Stark Tinfoil Hat — Week 0 (Germination & Seedling Start)
Strain: Tinfoil Hat — Irie Genetics
Grower: Stoney Stark / Little Lilly Farms
Environment: 4×4 Tent
Medium: Scientetics Coco
Plants: 4 (from seed)
⸻
Germination Summary
Kicked this run off with a solid, clean germination process. All four seeds showed strong vigor right out the gate.
• 3/30: Dropped 4 seeds into 1 cup of tap water for 24 hours
• 3/31: Transferred seeds into pre-moistened Scientetics coco (4 oz starter pots)
• Sprout Time: All seeds broke ground in under 48 hours
Fast germination like this is usually a good sign of strong genetics and viable seed stock.
⸻
Medium & Setup
• Medium: Scientetics coco (light, well-aerated, ideal for early root development)
• Container Size: 4 oz starter pots
• Tent: 4×4 (full-cycle environment)
Coco was pre-wet to ensure even moisture and eliminate dry pockets before planting.
⸻
Watering & Nutrients
Initial hydration was focused on root stimulation and microbial activation rather than heavy feeding.
Mix (per gallon):
• 5 ml Ruby Fulvic
• 1/8 tsp Recharge
• RO water
• pH: 5.9
Application:
• Mixed 1/4 gallon total
• Used to fully moisten medium prior to planting
⸻
Nutrient Breakdown
• Ruby Fulvic: Enhances nutrient uptake and stimulates early root development
• Recharge: Introduces beneficial microbes to colonize the rhizosphere early, improving nutrient cycling and root health
This combo sets up a biologically active root zone from day one, which is huge in coco.

Stoney_Stark Week 1 – Tinfoil Hat (Seedling Stage)
Strain: Tinfoil Hat
Breeder: Irie Genetics
Environment: 4×4 Tent
Medium: Scientetics Coco
Grower: Little Lilly Farms
⸻
Environment & Conditions
• Temperature: 80°F
• Humidity: 65% (after dome removal)
• Light Schedule: 20/4
• PPFD: 180–220
• Spectrum Progression:
• 4/4: 80% Cool / 20% Warm / 0% IR / 0% UV
• 4/8: 70% Cool / 30% Warm / 0% IR / 0% UV
Notes:
Strong, stable seedling environment. Slight shift toward more warm spectrum by 4/8 should help encourage early root and stem development without pushing stretch too hard.
⸻
Watering & Nutrients
Feeding Style: Hand watering, early seedling control
Goal This Week: Establish roots while preventing salt buildup
4/3 – First Feed
• ~40 ml per plant (no runoff)
• 950 PPM | pH 5.9
Per Gallon:
• 0.5 ml Silicium
• 3 ml Equinox
• 9 ml Spring Green
• 5 ml Ruby Fulvic
• 3 ml Car-Beau-Naria
• 3 ml Lightning Start
• 1 ml Rhyzium
⸻
4/5 – Reset Feed (Runoff Event)
• Fed to good runoff to reset medium
• 550 PPM | pH 5.9
Same mix as 4/3 (lower concentration overall due to dilution + runoff)
⸻
4/8 – Increased Feed Strength
• 1 gallon mixed
• pH 5.8 (PPM elevated – full strength direction)
Per Gallon:
• 0.5 ml Silicium
• 5 ml Equinox
• 15 ml Summer Shift
• 3 ml Lightning Start
• 5 ml Ruby Fulvic
• 5 ml Car-Beau-Naria
• 1 ml Rhyzium
⸻
Growth & Observations
• All 4 seedlings emerged successfully by 4/3
• Strong early vigor with no visible deficiencies
• Early runoff reset likely prevented salt stacking from high initial PPM
• Transitioning toward full-strength feeding strategy early in veg
• Structure is compact so far with controlled PPFD and spectrum
———
Next Week Focus (Week 2)
• Begin consistent runoff strategy (5–15%)
• Gradually increase PPFD → 250–350 range
• Watch plant response to full-strength nutrients
• Prepare for first transplant if roots fill out

Stoney_Stark Weeks 2-5: Nutrient Shifts & Recovery
Summary
The last few weeks have been a journey of troubleshooting and optimization. Around Week 1 and 2, all four plants showed heavy signs of Magnesium deficiency. After culling one underperformer, I moved a Cherry Burger (Equilibrium Genetics) into the 4x4 to fill the space.
The biggest change was a pivot in my feeding strategy. I moved away from the 6-bottle New Millennium lineup to a single-part dry amendment, Weed Fuel, to simplify the process. The results have been very promising; the plants have recovered from their deficiencies and are looking great.
Week 2: Establishing the Routine
• Environment: Keeping pH steady at 5.8.
• Feeding: Stuck to the New Millennium baseline (.5ml Silicium, 5ml Equinox, 15ml Summer Shift, 3ml Lightning Start, 5ml Ruby Fulvic, 5ml Car-beau-naria, 1ml Rhyzium).
• Notes: Began alternating between Photosynthesis Plus and Fish Sh!t to stimulate root growth. While healthy, the plants seemed slightly small for their age.
Week 3: Deficiencies & Transplants
• The Magnesium Issue: Identified a heavy Mg deficiency across the board. I culled the worst-performing runt and added MagCal to the regimen.
• Transplant: Moved all 4 plants into their final 2-gallon fabric pots on 4/21.
• Training: Topped 2 of the 4 plants on 4/24. One plant was still too small, and the fourth appeared to have "self-topped."
• Tech: The auto-watering system hit a snag, so I have reverted to hand-watering for the time being to ensure 20% runoff.
Week 4: The Great Nutrient Pivot
• VPD Control: Dialed in the environment to run based on VPD, targeting a steady 1.0 kPa (ranging 0.9–1.1).
• The Switch: On 4/30, I officially tested the switch to Weed Fuel.
• New Recipe: .5ml Silicium, 2ml MagCal, 3/4 tbsp Weed Fuel, 1ml Rhyzium.
• Stats: 600 PPM | 5.8 pH.
• Recovery: Noticed immediate recovery from previous deficiencies.
Week 5: Full Steam Ahead
• Performance: The Weed Fuel test is a success. Even though the brand claims to have sufficient Ca/Mg, I’ve found that staying with a 2ml/gal CalMag supplement is the "sweet spot" for this garden.
• Feeding: Increased strength slightly to 700 PPM by 5/5.
• Current Status: Three of the four plants are drinking heavily and filling their reservoirs. One plant is still lagging slightly behind the others but is otherwise healthy.
Nutrient Transition Note:
Moving from a 6-bottle liquid line to a single-part dry amendment has significantly streamlined the workflow without sacrificing plant health. The Cherry Burger is settling in nicely in the 4x4.
Fresh diary, fresh energy 👊🌱
Always nice to see a new run kicking off.😎
Setup is locked – now let them push.
Wishing you success and fun with strong, healthy plants.
Grow on 💚✌️
