Highsenberg82 Starting the next round with some upgrades. Better air pump (from 12,8L/min to 35L/min airflow), better airstones, better lights (from 200W to 320W) and Athena fertilizer from the beginning, so i won't get root rot problems again.
Sour Fraise (again) from Messias Seeds and Ice Cream Runtz from LIT Farms are on the menu.
Humidifier back in the grow tent ans set to 70% RH. Lights at 33%.
Hope roots will grow now as supposed.
Clones heads up. Lookin' good so far.
Let's grow!
04/12/2026
Sour Fraise roots are already growing towards the water. Still waiting for the Runtz roots.

Highsenberg82 I thought the plants would grow a bit faster, but I also pruned a lot of shoots. The root mass is now increasing rapidly on both plants, and this time they're staying white and healthy. I think the light penetration into the reservoir is lower, the oxygen supply is better thanks to the new air pump, and the Athena Cleanse from the start is also helping. Now I need to figure out the best power setting for the new lamp and the exact setting for the sweet spot. The temperatures should finally rise, so I can soon do without the radiators. It's still much too cold in the basement.
I am always grateful for advice and tips from experienced growers. 😉
Especially growers with experience using Athena: is IPW worth it ?
04/26/2026
Damn. Another stupid accident caused trouble. 😡😡 One of the green radiators rolled over to the Sour Fraise and burned the stem of the plant. All the bark is gone all the way around.
I cut the plant above the burned area, treated the stem with Clonex gel, and placed it in a rockwool cube soaked in a cloning mixture according to the Athena scheme.
Let's hope it works.

Highsenberg82 Seems the rescue plan for Sour Fraise works so far. Leaves still looking good. Hope roots will show up soon.
ICR is doing well. Keeping her low with cutting a lot. until Sour Fraise is back on track. Then i want to mount a screen.

ICR is growing nicely. Will install a screen during the next week. Hope sour fraise will show roots soon. She still looks green and vital. I guess Clonex works.

Highsenberg82 ICR growing nicely. I cut away quite a bit more.
Still waiting for visible Sour Fraise roots. But she still don't look dead. Hope she'll get back on track soon.
Finally it's warm enough so i removed the radiator.
05/13/2026
Unfortunately the Sour fraise won't make it. So I decided to order a new clone, so that means just a small sour fraise. I don't want to make a complete reset. ICR is doin well and she will be the big main plant. The new SF clone to fill the open space left.

Highsenberg82 ICR still growing very good. Building big leaves. New Sour Fraise clone will arrive tomorrow.
05/15/2026
one day too late but still in shape: Soure Fraise is back in the system. But needs to grow fast high enough.
Finally built a detachable frame for a screen. Now ICR will start growing through until SF can fill the rest of the screen.
5/18/2026
Fresh mix, nice roots so far. First SF root limping out. Raised light power up to 74%. Enough distance to the little one. Let's keep growing.

The new Sour Fraise clone arrived last Friday. The roots are now growing nicely downwards towards the water in the tank. Had no need to raise the water lvl. Quite the opposite. With the lower water level and the powerful air pump, enough fertilizer reached the expanded clay. Another lesson learned: the water level doesn't need to be that high at the beginning with new clones. I hope the SF will stretch up to ne screen.
I hope the sour fraise plant grows quickly upwards towards the SCROG so that she can cover enough area and produce a good yield. Because of the heating accident, I've planned for a longer growing season anyway.
screen.
Ordered Athena IPW for a preventative spraying program against pests.
ICR looks really good so far. Massive roots already and growing well after cutting away a lot.

Highsenberg82 So far so good. Sour Fraise growing a little too slow. Hope she will cover a small part of the screen soon. ICR waiting for flowering time.
6/8/2026
Another bigger defoliation. ICR is covering more and more of the screen and the roots are drinking a lot of water these days.
SF finally grows a bit faster and will reach the height of the screen soon (i hope).
