LuckyLolek As a rookie I made one major mistake. I didn't have humidifier for a first week of my seedling. RH was barely 55 %. I'm happy that my seedling survived. My light was set up at 20%, height 70cm from a seedling. For a first couple of days I was sprinkling water around seedling. Then I watered her with a 250ml of rain water with pH 6.5

LuckyLolek In the second week there was no problem at all. As for me everything was ok. Maybe bit slow due to not ideal climate in the box. But.... it's my first plant so give me a chance 😁

LuckyLolek The 3rd week got more exiting to me. I was doing my first ever lst on day 17. I taught that maybe I'll try topping but gave up on this idea, I think it was bit too late for such a risk , especially she wasn't looking vigorous enough to me.

LuckyLolek Week 4 started nice, everything was kinda good until day 27. On day 25 I did more lst and good bit of deflation anything what was covering middle part went to bin plus couple older fans. On day 27 the sh#t happened, when tucked leaves I snapped one of the side tops, they're so delicate and I probably catched it with my arm. Whatever, I just hurted badly my girl . Hopefully it wouldn't cost me a lot.

LuckyLolek Week 5 . I started seeing some pre flowers. Few tiny white hairs here and there . From the day 29 up to 35 nothing really changed. Looks like she's putting her energy into building strong stems, not much stretch, much more hairs so not in flower yet. Everything goes bit slower now. I did some more defoliation on day 29 and 33. Last lst on day 29. Probably stressed her bit too much. Will see how it ends. Hopefully she'll goes to nice flowers.

LuckyLolekstarted grow question 3mo ago
Hello. If you think that I'm doing something wrong please don't hesitate to let me know. As for today 17/4/2026 She's currently 36 days old. About 17, 18 cm tall and looks fine for me, but... there's always some but. Do I do everything ok?

Don't randomly remove leaves. Always have a reason to remove one... should never have to remove a bunch of them. Leaves are incredibly important anatomy. They do more than just absorb light. Even well-shielded leaves are value-added to the plant. 'too mnay mouths to feed' is a real concern as trutratri said. More bud sites doesn't always equate to more yield. After a certain point all it does is over-crowd the canopy and you get smaller buds of similar total mass. The size of your canopy, light and environmental variables will dictate the total mass per sq ft the plant will produce. Side effect of not over-crowding - never a need to defoliate. I'd also suggest easing up on the training of an autoflower. You probably don't have much vege growth left at this point, so spending 5 weeks trainining it mostly horizontal doesn't leave much time to grow vertically. That will definitely hurt yield or cause crowding of buds. definitely grow photoperiods. they are simply better plants on average. Whatever an autoflower can do, a photo can mimic if you absolutely want to... You can send a photoperiod into flower within 2-3 weeks or just 12/12 from sprout and it'll match the same timeframe of an autoflower. The only advantage i see from autoflowers is that you can grow out of season outside. definitely need more perlite or similar in soil. that's a sphagnum peat moss base from what i read, so 1:1 is the proper ratio for a medium that holds a high volume of water. I didn't see a percentage included, but a little algebra and solve for x to figure out how much to add to their terra professional product. For future reference, coco coir holds less water, which is why you see "70/30" coco+perlite options out there... 2:1 coco:perlite or similar drainage amendment is a better target for coco. This stuff doesn't have to be exact but good to have the right target, nonetheless. Both add up to the same gas:water mixture per volume, which is the key. These plants are quite robust... you'll have decent results even when you don't do things in optimal ways. Keep it health and happy and that;s most of it... the rest you can refine as you grow more.

LuckyLolek As of end of week 6 everything looks fine. There are small flowers forming slowly day by day , little bit of stretch going as well. Nothing special but it's ok for my first grow. Did a bit of lollipoping at they 42 , nothing major just removed few tiny bottom branches. Also added first small dose of nutrients at day 41.

LuckyLolek So she's slowly continuing flowering. As previously, due to my probably too many mistakes she's growing slowly and as you can see, she's dwarf 😂 22 cm🙈😂 On day 46 when watering with 3.5I of water with nutrients I got around 100 ml of run off. Measured ppm it was 1350 and forgot to measure pH. So on the day 51 I flushed her down with 5.2l of water pH 7. Measured 300ml of run off, there was 1135 ppm and pH 5.0 ( too low I think). So the next watering will be again with just a water ph 7 and I will check run off ppm and pH again to see does the flush off did a job.

LuckyLolek Week 8 just finished today. Nothing really changed. Still waiting to water her and check is there any improvement in the growing medium. She doesn't look too sad so I'm quite happy, that everything hopefully goes right direction. I know I'll have pretty low yield but I'm worry not too much. It's my first ever grow so I taking all lessons patiently.

LuckyLolek Tops are swelling slowly and more frost visible. Hopefully the quality will recompansate the very little yield.

LuckyLolek Nearly there. Majority of trichomes are milky, I think one maybe two weeks maximum and that little dwarf will be chopped 😁 a lot of frost, beautiful smell.

LuckyLolek Well, that's the end of the story. Finally she's been chopped and dried, buds are in the jar for curing period. As it was my first plant, there was so many mistakes on my side that cost me a yield ( only 30g dry) and size of the plant, was 22 cm tall only. So the main mistake was a bad water pH especially on the start of flowering but at least I found the problem on time and didn't kill the plant. All in all I'm happy with all the lessons I got, happy with quality of the blackberry. Yield is low but I'm glad that I have something to taste at the end.

Lads, Thanks so much for quick response and very useful advice and support. Squalino, I will definitely take few more leaves. Thank you very much! Tru Tra Tri, with next plant I will loosen that medium more, taught the same at some stage but it was too late for intervention. Thank you very much!
