In keen to try an LST method. I'm thinking of tying down the main branch. When is a good time to start this. Any tips?

I wait until the 5th node and bend the top down so the other arms can be even with the main top. Cannabis plants have apical dominance, meaning they will give most of their resources and grow better at the top of the plant, so try and keep the canopy even. Once you bend the top down the sides will catch up quickly!! Put your hands on the plant as often as possible. Bend the stems back and forth to strengthen them throughout the grow. Happy growing!! 💪

A very hot week. The slugs got to the plant whilst I was away for a few days, but the plant has shot up.

More sunshine at the start of this week. Plant seems to be doing well. Watering every other day alternating with nutrients and plain tap water left out for at least 24 hours. Very happy so far. No health problems, just the slugs making a meal out of some of the leaves!

Help, I'm getting yellow brown patches on the leaves! This has only occured over the last few days and up to then the plant was really healthy apart from slug trouble. It's getting 1.5ml of both bio bloom and grow per litre.

The slugs have been a bit of a problem but I've out down some beer traps and I think this has helped. I've tied down the lower stems - trying out a bit of LST, despite it being slightly late in the game! Made my own Aloe Vera spray with 1 teaspoon / litre. Gave them a good spraying for a nice boost! A couple of larger fan leaves have become light green / yellow - not exactly sure what is causing this.

Some pistels now turning orange, probably ready to harvest next week. I have had a continued battle against the slugs, and now a few spiders, but on the whole pretty happy about how she is turning out. Some fan leaves have turned yellow, so I know its nearly time to harvest!

A little disappointed with the yield on this plant. It grew under exactly the same conditions as my Northern Light from RQS and it just seemed to stop growing a week or so earlier. I probably wont try fast eddy again, but maybe another high CBD strain. Only 8g dried bud weight compared to 15g with my NL plant.

Looking good!! Have to give those stems a daily workout by bending them and you will have a 💪💪 plant!

Hi @Jmanc! Once your plant has developped 3-4 nodes you can start working on those nodes, or on the entire plant (by bending the main stem). However, considering you're growing an autoflowering strain, you better not bend the main stem, or make sure you do not over-do: autos are sensitive to pretty much everything, and low stress training works well only when done slightly / smoothly / step-by-step. My first auto was a disaster because I was too violent on bending, and as a result, my plant was shocked, growing slowly, shape was weird, and she ended with mold because of the lack of stretch. Always remember the L (low) in LST when working on autos, less is more 😎 Hope this will help, keep us updated and happy growing! 👊

@Jmanc, LST works well but only if done smoothly / step-by-step. Give it a try!

@Stick, thanks for the advice man! Perhaps i will just let them be, and not do LST? Perhaps there is a less stressful method to use for autos? Defoliation maybe?
