ThatsmyGrow πͺ Gorilla Cookies Auto β Pheno Hunt (6 Phenotypes)
Hey growmies π
this time Iβm doing something a bit different: Iβm starting a pheno hunt with 6x Gorilla Cookies Auto, and Iβll be documenting each plant in a separate diary to properly compare the differences.
π― Goal of this run:
Identify different phenotypes
Compare growth, structure, and flowering traits
Select the βbestβ pheno based on my criteria
What Iβll be tracking:
Growth structure (compact vs. stretchy)
Internodal spacing
Leaf structure & color
Flower development & bud structure
Resin production βοΈ
(Later) smell & effects
π Setup (same for all 6):
Same medium
Same nutrients
Same environment
β so any differences should come down to genetics
πΈ Iβll post regular updates with photos and try to keep everything as comparable as possible.
π¬ Your input is welcome:
If you notice differences or already have a favorite, drop a comment!
Letβs see which pheno performs the best ππ₯

ThatsmyGrow π± Week 1 β Gorilla Cookies Auto Pheno Hunt
The first week is officially done and all 6 phenos are off to a strong start ππ₯
So far the differences are still subtle, but a few plants are already showing unique traits in structure and growth speed. Thatβs exactly why I wanted to run this pheno hunt separately.
π Current observations:
Some phenos are growing more compact
Others are stretching a bit faster already
Leaf shapes and node spacing are starting to vary slightly
Overall healthy growth across all 6 plants π±
Right now the goal is simple:
Build strong roots, keep conditions stable, and let the genetics show themselves naturally.
π Current environment:
Temperature stable at 21Β°C
Trying to consistently maintain around 60% humidity
Light intensity adjusted for early veg
Feeding kept light for now
The next 1β2 weeks should start revealing much more noticeable differences between the phenos π
π¬ Which pheno are you guys watching closely already?

ThatsmyGrow Week 2 is now complete and the girls are starting to show their individuality ππ₯
The environment has been very stable overall and growth has noticeably accelerated compared to the first week. Some phenos are already separating themselves from the others with clear differences in structure and development.
π Current observations:
Different leaf structures are becoming visible
Some phenos are showing broader fan leaves, while others stay slimmer and more sativa-like
Noticeable differences in plant size and growth speed already appearing
Overall healthy and vigorous development across all 6 phenos π±
To improve light penetration and airflow, I also removed a few fan leaves on some plants so the lower branches can receive more direct light.
π‘ Adjustments this week:
Light intensity increased from 20% to 35%
Temperature increased to around 26Β°C
Humidity staying between 63β65%
Continuously trying to maintain around 1.3 kPa VPD
At this stage itβs getting really interesting to watch how each phenotype responds under the exact same conditions. The next weeks should reveal even more differences in vigor, structure, and overall expression π
π¬ Which pheno is standing out to you so far?

ThatsmyGrow π± Week 3 β Gorilla Cookies Auto Pheno Hunt
Another week down and the differences between the phenos are becoming more obvious every day ππ₯
The environment stayed very stable this week with temperatures, humidity, and VPD remaining consistent. Because all plants are growing under the exact same conditions, itβs really interesting to see how differently each phenotype develops genetically.
π Current observations:
Several phenos are already reaching close to 30 cm in height
Meanwhile, some smaller phenos β especially Pheno #6 β are still around 13 cm
Leaf structure and overall plant shape continue to vary a lot between phenos
Growth vigor is clearly different from plant to plant now
π§ Feeding & maintenance:
This week the plants received their first proper feeding with around 4 liters of nutrient water.
Some phenos seem to react more sensitively to the nutrients, as a few plants are starting to show slight brown leaf tips, so Iβll keep a close eye on them over the next days π
I also removed more large fan leaves to improve light penetration and allow the lower branches to develop more evenly.
π Current environment:
Temperature stable around 26Β°C
Humidity staying between 63β65%
VPD maintained around 1.3 kPa
Light intensity remaining at 35%
Now Iβm really curious to see when the first flowering signs will appear πΈπ₯
π¬ Which pheno would you pick so far?

ThatsmyGrow πΈ Week 4 β Gorilla Cookies Auto Pheno Hunt
Week 4 has officially started and all 6 phenos have entered flowering π₯πΈ
Really happy to see every plant transitioning into bloom now. From this point on, things should get much more interesting because the differences between the phenos are becoming impossible to ignore.
π Current observations:
Several phenos are stretching hard since flowering started
Some plants are already reaching heights of around 40 cm
Growth patterns are becoming much clearer between each phenotype
On the taller phenos you can already see that the first side branches are developing almost like additional main colas π
π§ Feeding & training:
This week the plants received their first bloom nutrients following the Master Recipe.
I also continued removing selected large fan leaves that were shading potential flower sites to improve light penetration and help lower branches develop more evenly.
π Current environment:
Temperature stable around 26Β°C
Humidity remaining between 63β65%
VPD holding around 1.3 kPa
Light intensity unchanged
Now the exciting phase begins β the next few weeks will probably be the most important ones to identify the strongest and most beautiful phenos in the hunt ππ₯
π¬ Which pheno do you think will dominate once flower production really kicks in?
@Pete_vs_NatureHere's a little sneak peek. I think numbers 3 and 4 are truly outstanding as is Pheno 5. Pheno 6, however, kind of gets lost in the back left corner, likely due to an excessively high Indica ratio.
@ThatsmyGrow, I see what you mean on #6. Is she getting a bit much or too little light where she stands? It almost looks like she is cupping / preventing stretch, while leaf blades look decently hybrid still.
Unfortunately the vid is not loading right now, I'll check it out again in a few π
