SundancerS Yay, here it is finally: the Paradise Seeds Banana Purple Auto! 🍌💜
We are really excited that it worked out and we get to grow this exciting strain. It's actually our first lady from Paradise Seeds, and right off the bat such an interesting novelty. We just couldn't resist. :)
The Banana Purple Auto already comes with some solid genetics: a cross between Purple Kush and GG4 Skunk. On paper, it sounds like a pretty delicious mix of spicy, skunky, and fruity aromas, exactly the kind of scent that makes you want to keep sniffing the jar later. 😄
With its stated 60% Indica and 40% Sativa, it seems nicely balanced. So it should be perfect for both relaxed moments and good vibes for creative outdoor fun. The stated 24% THC definitely sounds anything but shy.
We're particularly excited about the colors. It’s supposed to really “purple,” and that’s totally in line with the current strain trends. So if the lady ends up looking like a violet sunset, we definitely won't complain!
Flavor-wise, it's described as “Fruity, Skunky, Sweet.” So somewhere between a fruit basket, a gas station, and a candy shop, which sounds like a pretty wild combination, but that’s exactly why we love such genetics. :)
The little one can now settle in comfortably. She’ll be spoiled a bit, but not too much. After all, we’re mainly planning an outdoor grow, and outside there’s famously no room service. So she’ll have to show what she’s really made of.

SundancerS The Banana Purple Auto from Paradise Seeds was actually planned as an outdoor project. But to be honest: with the temperatures this week, we probably would have put a jacket around the flower pot ourselves. So we couldn't bring ourselves to put the little one outside right away. Instead, she got to spend a few more days with the "homies" in the grow shower and seemed to feel really comfortable there.
In the first week, she's already showing some really strong growth and looks surprisingly robust and lively. No fuss, no whining, just relaxed growing along, just the way we like it. The leaves are looking clean, the structure seems stable, and so far she gives a wonderfully uncomplicated impression. If she keeps up this pace, it could turn out to be a really exciting outdoor run despite the cold start. 😉

SundancerS The Banana Purple was finally allowed to move outside as the last lady of our outdoor project 2026. And to be honest: She looks almost suspiciously pretty now. The leaves look so perfect that we're already a bit nervously peeking at the first real sun rays. We hope she doesn't suddenly look like us after the first day of vacation without sunscreen after just two hours of sun. She was topped early, and we hope for a structured shape that she develops all on her own. That's exactly what we hope for in the outdoor area: as little drama as possible and as much independent growth as possible. We might still need to help a little with training, but for now, she can just do whatever she feels like. Her strong first rows of leaves are particularly striking. They already give her a stable base for further growth and show that there's plenty of energy in the plant. If she keeps this up, she could really make an impression in the garden. 😎

SundancerS Our Banana Purple has completed its first week outdoors and was thrown straight into cold water. Or rather: into the hottest week of the year. Despite a slow adjustment, it shows clear signs of light and heat stress. The sun has made it clear that there is a small difference between LED and real midsummer. Fortunately, it seems to belong to the category of "first complain, then deliver," because by the end of the week, a noticeable improvement was already visible. For now, we are skipping further training. Currently, it still looks a bit delicate and needs to get used to the wind, weather, and the sometimes very creative German summer. It also remains surprisingly economical with water consumption. This shows us that it hasn't fully entered outdoor mode yet, and its roots are probably still busy exploring the new territory. Overall, we see the development positively. The first week was certainly not a wellness vacation, but the Banana Purple is already showing that it can adapt.
"Only the tough get into the garden," right? :-P😹

SundancerS The young Banana Purple has clearly enjoyed the last few days outside. She made a jump of nearly 15 centimeters in a short time and is now showing a little thirst. Since the topping, we haven't used scissors on her, and she looks really structured without any further intervention, showing that she's doing well outside. The recent days of rain and storms didn't bother her at all, as she's practically half under the awning and was well protected because of that. Everything indicates that she will start flowering in the next few days, and then it will finally get really exciting. We are already looking forward to observing her development further and to the first moments of flowering. 😍

SundancerS The Banana Purple Auto is slowly making its way into the outdoor season. The last few days have really not made it easy. Cool, windy, cold nights, and significantly less sun than one would hope for at the end of June. Still, it has been able to gain both height and mass. You can tell that these are not necessarily its favorite conditions.
In week five, the pre-flowering is just starting to become noticeable. However, it is presenting itself in top health. The leaves show a rich green and have formed a nice, closed canopy by now. Especially with autos, you can often see how much weather and temperatures can influence the start of flowering. Some kick off immediately, while others just take a bit more time.
What’s particularly pleasing is that despite the changeable weather, it shows no signs of stress. This usually indicates a well-developed root system and robust genetics.
The coming week is supposed to get really hot. Over 30 degrees, lots of sun, and thus the next outdoor experience for our Banana Purple Auto. We’re curious to see how it reacts to the weather change.

SundancerS The first heatwave of the year is here, and we were naturally curious about how the Banana Purple Auto would react to the sudden weather change. The answer came pretty quickly. Obviously, it feels much more comfortable in hot temperatures and plenty of sun than during the cool weeks before. The growth spurt of the last few days speaks for itself.
After topping it once a few weeks ago, the Banana Purple Auto hasn't formed any more branches. It has stayed with the four remaining shoots. Two of them are clearly looking like main colas, while the other two are dutifully taking the second row. Well, at least it makes it much more manageable for outdoor growing.
Health-wise, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. The plant looks relaxed, uncomplicated, and completely satisfied. Exactly the kind of genetics you'd want in your garden during the summer.
The temperatures are supposed to stay high, and we have a feeling that this is exactly its weather.

SundancerS The Banana Purple Auto seems to be made for hot weather. Even though the temperatures have climbed well above 30 degrees this week, it’s handling it surprisingly well. You can tell it’s growing a bit slower than just a few days ago, but it’s diligently building its structure and flowers.
With its two "main colas," it looks kind of funny. It seems like it just didn’t want to get any bigger after topping. That’s fine by us. This way, it stays nice and compact on the terrace and is much easier to handle.
Health-wise, there’s absolutely nothing to complain about. The leaves are a deep green all the way to the tips, the plant looks vibrant, and it gives an overall satisfied impression. So far, there’s no sign of pests or other unwanted guests.
So far, the Banana Purple Auto is exactly what you wish for outdoors. Uncomplicated, robust, and pretty chill. We hope it stays that way in the coming weeks. 😁

SundancerS The Banana Purple Auto has finally gotten used to outdoor life and seems to be getting sturdier week by week. Wind, rain, and sun don't seem to bother her anymore. Just like the motto: First skeptical, now the boss in the garden.
The plant is now forming many sugar leaves, and in between, really beautiful, compact buds are slowly developing. You can clearly see that she is putting more and more energy into bud formation. Overall, she looks healthy and very balanced.
As a little experiment, she's currently getting an additional bloom booster that we were handed at the Mary Jane. Whether it will make the decisive difference in the end remains to be seen. So far, the grow is going pleasantly smoothly, and it can continue like this until harvest. On to the next week! 😀

SundancerS The Banana Purple Auto is clearly enjoying the sunny days and soaking up plenty of energy. It's developing outside in a remarkably relaxed manner and increasingly confirming our impression that it's perfect for an easygoing outdoor grow.
The buds are continuing to gain mass, and the first purple hues are slowly starting to show. Unfortunately, they don't really come across in the photos yet, but in person, it looks really promising. This is exactly what we hoped for with this genetics.
The stability continues to impress as well. Despite the buds getting heavier, the branches are holding strong and showing no signs of weakness. The scent is also becoming more intense and comes in small waves now. Sometimes you barely notice it, and in the next moment, you wonder where that wonderful smell suddenly came from.
So far, the grow is going wonderfully smoothly. Healthy, robust, and with increasingly beautiful buds, the Banana Purple Auto is doing exactly what we hoped for. Now, it can show a bit more color in the final stretch. 😍

SundancerS The Banana Purple Auto is turning more and more into a little garden queen. Everything that nature offers her seems to be graciously accepted. Sun, warmth, and every bit of light seemingly disappear directly into the buds. Or at least, that's how it feels.
For weeks, she has been developing steadily and completely effortlessly. Plants like this make outdoor growing really fun. Robust, relaxed, and so far completely unfazed by weather whims or other surprises. Pests? Not a chance.
She is also becoming more beautiful day by day. The first purple hues are getting more intense and slowly giving her her own character. On top of that, there's a wonderful scent that makes you want to take another lap around the plant every time.
The hot phase is slowly beginning now. The buds are continuing to swell, and the anticipation grows with each passing day. If she handles the last weeks as confidently as she has the previous grow, then it could be a really nice harvest. We're looking forward to the final stretch. 😍

SundancerS The Banana Purple Auto has once again completed a week outdoors. Kids, how time flies! It continues to withstand all weather whims and gives off a surprisingly calm impression. It still stands stable, even though you can clearly see the weight of the thick buds now. And yes, you definitely notice it when you have to carry it.
Slowly, autumn is also making its way into the Banana Purple Auto. The large leaves are gradually losing their rich green, as the plant is now pulling back its last reserves and putting everything into the flowers. This natural fading is just part of the final bloom for us and shows that the finish line is getting closer.
It can still enjoy a few nice hours of sunshine, and then harvest time will likely come for it too. The anticipation grows day by day, and we're excited to see what ends up in the jar. We will, of course, keep you updated. 😘

SundancerS Unsere Banana Purple von Paradise Seeds befindet sich eigentlich schon im Erntefenster. Trotzdem haben wir uns entschieden, ihr noch ein paar zusätzliche Tage zu gönnen. Das Wetter spielt perfekt mit, sie legt trotz ihres fortgeschrittenen Alters immer noch sichtbar an Blütenmasse zu und sieht dabei einfach fantastisch aus. Warum also die Axt schwingen, wenn Mutter Natur gerade beste Bedingungen liefert?
Mittlerweile ist sie ohne Zweifel die Queen unseres Gartens. Wunderschön aufgebaut, stabil und mit einer Ausstrahlung, die jeden Blick auf sich zieht. Auch ihr intensiver, unglaublich leckerer Duft sorgt dafür, dass sie sich nicht gerade unauffällig verhält. Hoffentlich sind nur wir diejenigen, die ständig an ihr vorbeilaufen.
Besonders beeindruckend finden wir, dass sie selbst auf den letzten Metern noch einmal richtig zulegt. Die Buds werden von Tag zu Tag voller und kompakter, als hätte sie beschlossen, zum Finale noch einmal alles zu geben. Genau solche Überraschungen machen Outdoor-Grows so spannend. Jetzt darf sie noch ein paar sonnige Tage genießen, bevor schließlich die Schere zum Einsatz kommt. Wir sind gespannt, was sie bis dahin noch aus dem Ärmel schüttelt und werden natürlich weiter berichten.

@SundancerS, I bought extra of the good F1 from... uh, what are they called again... Kiepenkerl, but this year hasn't been that great. They were all kind of mutants and too small 😄 I also have them in flower boxes, maybe that’s not a good idea. Today I discovered the first small fruit and the plants look pretty okay. I also gave them one from BioBizz — full throttle in there ^^

@Xonidan, Puh yeah, the heat that's really kicking in today worries me a bit too. One of the Banana Purple is still outdoors and is almost done. In this phase, such high temperatures are not good; the trichomes "evaporate" in this heat. I'm considering bringing her inside or harvesting a bit earlier. You have a few outside too, but they're not in the final flowering phase yet. They should be able to handle it well. Fingers crossed for you ^^

@SundancerS, my 3 ladies in the pot are 9 1/2 weeks. Harvest is planned for around 11 weeks. I hope I can leave them that long. The ones in the bed I'll leave even longer. One unfortunately has heat damage (Fox). Thanks, my fingers are crossed too 🙏🍀
