The first week of vegetation is officially complete, and Wedding Cake Auto has already shown some beautiful early growth and strong development. Since Wedding Cake sprouted before the other two ladies and was replanted earlier, she currently has about a one-week advantage over her roommates in the garden 🌱 That early head start is already becoming visible through her rapid development and healthy structure. I took photos on the very first day of vegetation to officially mark the beginning of her journey, and then again on Day 7. to document the progress. The transformation over just seven days is honestly impressive 🚀 By the end of Week 1, Wedding Cake reached a height of 8 cm and has already begun forming her first branch tiers. At this early stage, the internodal spacing is naturally very tight, giving her a compact structure that should gradually open up as growth accelerates. The leaves are showing a beautiful vibrant green color 🍃 and overall she looks extremely healthy and full of energy. So far, Wedding Cake is developing beautifully and I truly hope she continues this strong momentum throughout the entire grow cycle. 💡 Grow Setup The Migro Aray 4 LED is currently running at 40% intensity and positioned approximately 35 cm above the canopy. Throughout the first week, the plants remain under a 24/7 light schedule to encourage maximum vegetative growth 🌞 💧 Watering & Feeding Watering currently takes place every 3–4 days using approximately 1.5 liters of water per plant. Even though pH adjustment is not strictly required for this setup, I still prefer to bring the water down to pH 6.0 using Plagron Lemon Kick for optimal nutrient uptake. No additional nutrients have been introduced yet since the soil already contains enough nutrition for the early stage of growth. Later on, I’m very excited to see how Wedding Cake responds to the BioTabs nutrient system 🌱 Weekly Timeline: 14/04/2026 — Day 1. Another week in the books, and Wedding Cake Auto is steadily cruising through the vegetative stage with healthy and consistent growth. Over the past week, she packed on nearly 10 cm of growth and is now standing at 17 cm tall. While she's not showing the explosive stretch of her Pink Runtz sister, she's developing exactly how I'd like to see it — compact, healthy, and full of vigor. On my little farm, Wedding Cake is currently about a week ahead of the other two ladies. That said, I allowed Grape Ape and Pink Runtz a bit more time before starting their official grow diaries, so the actual difference isn't quite as large as it may appear. The structure is looking great so far. She's building a nice, dense canopy with tight internodal spacing and plenty of healthy foliage. The leaves are rich green, praying nicely toward the light, and showing absolutely no signs of deficiencies or stress. 🌿☀️ Growth may be a little more controlled compared to Pink Runtz, but that's perfectly fine. She's developing into a sturdy and well-balanced plant with a strong framework that should support some beautiful flowers later on. 💪🌸 Before the flowering stretch begins, I definitely plan on doing some selective defoliation to improve airflow and light penetration through the canopy. ✂️🌱 💡 Lighting Setup The Migro Aray 4 LED remains at 40% power and approximately 35 cm above the canopy. This week I kept the light schedule at 24/0 due to the first week of growth for her younger roommates. Starting next week, however, the entire garden will transition to an 18/6 schedule, giving the plants a proper dark period while maintaining strong vegetative growth. ☀️🌙 💧 Watering & Feeding As the plants continue to establish larger root systems, their water demand is gradually increasing. Currently, watering takes place approximately every three days, with the volume being slowly increased as the girls continue to grow. Water pH remains stable at around 6.0 and is adjusted using Plagron Lemon Kick. The BioTabs program continues to perform flawlessly. Wedding Cake Auto has officially completed her third week of vegetative growth and is now preparing to enter the flowering phase. 🌸 This week she continued her steady and healthy development, adding another 15 cm of growth and reaching a total height of 32 cm. Since she's one week older than her fast-growing roommates, all three plants have now reached a very similar canopy level. The only adjustment needed was slightly raising the pot under Grape Ape to keep everything even. Unlike Pink Runtz, which has been stretching aggressively, Wedding Cake displays a much more compact growth pattern. Internodal spacing remains tight, branch distances are shorter, and the foliage is significantly denser. Because of this, she still resembles a small, bushy shrub rather than a stretching autoflower. The structure is looking fantastic. Dense foliage, strong branching, and a healthy canopy suggest she'll have plenty of potential bud sites once flowering fully kicks in. The leaves maintain a beautiful deep-green color with no signs of deficiencies, stress, or nutrient issues, which tells me she's feeling right at home on my little farm. 💚 The first signs of flower formation are already visible, and it won't be long before the entire plant starts filling up with developing bud sites. Exciting times ahead! 🌸 The lower section of the canopy is definitely approaching the point where some light defoliation will be beneficial. Within the next few days, I'll likely remove some of the excess lower growth to improve airflow, increase light penetration, and make watering a bit easier moving forward. The first week of flower is officially in the books! 🌸 Although the bud sites are only just starting to show themselves, there's no doubt that Wedding Cake has entered the flowering phase. Interestingly, she's about a week ahead of the other two ladies on the farm, but they've been catching up quickly. At this point, the difference in development is becoming less noticeable, and the whole garden seems to be settling into flower together. 🌱 This week she stretched another 13 cm, bringing her total height to 55 cm. Surprisingly, she's no longer the tallest plant in the tent! Despite the transition into flower, the stretch has remained very manageable and well within expectations. The internodal spacing is nice and tight, resulting in a dense, bushy structure packed with healthy foliage. She's definitely due for a good defoliation session soon to improve airflow and light penetration through the canopy. 🍃✂️ The main cola has started to establish itself and is slowly pulling ahead of the secondary branches. Bud sites are appearing across the plant, but they're still in the very early stages. Looking at her development, it almost feels like I should still be calling this late veg rather than early flower. 😄 Overall, Wedding Cake is looking absolutely fantastic. The leaves are a rich, vibrant green, showing no signs of deficiencies or stress. Every cultivar has its own rhythm, and Wedding Cake seems determined not to be rushed. Patience is part of growing, and this strain is reminding me of exactly that. 😊 While flowering has been gradual, vegetative growth certainly hasn't slowed down yet. This week she stretched another 25 cm, showing that she's still directing plenty of energy into building her overall structure before fully committing to flower production. Her internodal spacing remains fairly tight, creating a dense canopy packed with healthy foliage. The leaves are a beautiful deep green and look incredibly healthy, but the canopy is becoming thick enough that a light defoliation is now worthwhile. Removing a few fan leaves should improve both light penetration and airflow while helping the developing bud sites receive more direct exposure. The main cola has clearly established dominance, standing proudly above the rest of the canopy, while the lower branches are gradually beginning to form their own flower clusters. The buds are still in their early stages, covered with fresh white pistils and showing only the first signs of what they'll eventually become. At this point, she's quietly building the foundation for the weeks ahead rather than putting on a dramatic floral display. If I'm being completely honest, Wedding Cake hasn't impressed me as much as the other two cultivars—at least not yet. She's progressing more slowly than I expected, and visually she doesn't have quite the same wow factor at this stage. That said, she's exceptionally healthy. She gained another 14 cm this week, showing that vertical growth is slowing down and she'll soon reach her final height. From this point on, I expect her to focus all of her energy on building dense, frosty flowers. 💚 Her foliage remains a rich, healthy green with no signs of deficiencies or stress. She's looking very comfortable in her environment and continues to develop exactly as I'd hoped. I removed a handful of larger fan leaves to improve both light penetration and airflow throughout the canopy. This should also help the lower bud sites receive more direct light and encourage more even flower development. 🌿 The dominant main cola has officially entered full bloom and is beginning to take center stage, while the lower branches are gradually forming their own promising flower clusters. The buds are still in their early stages, covered in fresh white pistils and only hinting at the frosty beauties they'll become over the coming weeks. Another week is in the books! 🌿 It's now Week 4 of flowering and Week 7 since sprouting, and I'm happy to say that my Wedding Cake Automatic is finally starting to show her true potential. A few days ago, I was beginning to wonder if she would ever fully commit to flowering. She seemed to be taking her time compared to her roommates, but it looks like she finally found her rhythm. 😄 It's almost as if someone flipped a switch—she has clearly gained momentum, and I'm excited to see where she goes from here. Vertical growth has now completely stopped, meaning all of her energy can finally be directed toward flower production. 🌸 My goal is simple: provide the best possible environment and let her do what she does best. Her foliage remains a beautiful, healthy shade of green, showing no signs of deficiencies or stress. She's developed a dense branch structure with plenty of leaves, but fortunately the buds are now pushing outward, allowing light to reach them much more easily. I still remove the occasional fan leaf whenever it blocks a developing bud site or simply isn't contributing much to the canopy. The main cola is slowly becoming covered in fresh flowers, while the lower branches are beginning to stack up nicely as well. Bud development is still in its early stages, with lots of fresh white pistils emerging every day. Trichomes haven't made their appearance just yet, but I know that magical moment isn't far away. ✨ Compared to the other cultivars in the tent she's still a little behind, but honestly, I'm not worried anymore. She's healthy, vigorous, and now building momentum at exactly the pace she wants. The fifth week of flowering is officially behind us, and my Wedding Cake continues to make steady progress every single day. 🌸 This week she focused almost entirely on flower development, and her buds are finally starting to take on that beautiful structure that every grower looks forward to seeing. At this stage, she's beginning to look like a proper flowering lady, although I'm still unsure exactly how much time remains before harvest. ⏳🍰 When I compare her to the other girls sharing the tent, Wedding Cake is still a little behind in terms of flower maturity. Because of that, I have a feeling she'll need a bit more time before reaching her full potential. Every cultivar has its own rhythm, though, and I'm happy to let her finish at her own pace. The next couple of weeks should reveal exactly how this story ends. 🌿💚 🌱 Plant Health & Development This week was wonderfully uneventful—in the best possible way. 😊 Wedding Cake didn't require any intervention besides her regular watering schedule. There was no need for training, pruning, or adjustments. At this point her entire focus is on producing the biggest, healthiest flowers she possibly can, while my job is simply to provide the most stable environment possible. Her foliage continues to look vibrant and healthy with a rich green color. 💚 Every now and then an older fan leaf naturally turns yellow, but that's completely expected during flowering, and I simply remove it to keep everything tidy. Despite her dense canopy, the leaves aren't shading the buds or blocking light penetration, so I've left her exactly as she is. Nature seems to know what she's doing. 🌞🍃 The main cola has now become completely covered in developing flowers, and perhaps my favorite milestone this week is that the trichomes are finally becoming visible without needing a magnifying glass. ✨❄️ Tiny sparkling resin glands are beginning to cover the buds, giving a small preview of what's still to come. Week six of flowering is now behind us, and I think Wedding Cake has officially reached the stage where she deserves a proper photoshoot against a black background. 📸🖤 Her frosty appearance is becoming more noticeable every day, making her beauty stand out even more. Flower development has been steady throughout the week, so let's take a closer look at her progress. 🌿 As you can see in the photos, the buds are stacking up beautifully and are beginning to gain noticeable density. The trichome production is increasing day by day, with the upper colas becoming especially coated in a sparkling layer of resin. ✨❄️ The main cola is now fully formed, covered in chunky flowers that already feel satisfyingly firm. Resin production is ramping up nicely, leaving your fingers sticky after the slightest touch, while her aroma continues to evolve into something richer, sweeter, and more complex every single day. 🍰🍦🌸 Some of the larger fan leaves have started fading to a lighter green, with the occasional yellow leaf appearing here and there. I remove them as soon as I notice them. This gradual fade is exactly what I like to see at this stage, as it signals that she's slowly entering the final stretch before harvest. 🌼🍂 Compared to her roommates, Wedding Cake is still the most reserved performer. Her buds aren't quite as large or as heavily frosted—at least not yet. But flowering isn't over, and she still has at least another week, possibly more, to continue bulking up. ButterfliesLittleFarm Hello Diary, Strain - Wedding Cake Auto Day Range: Day 64. – Day 70. Final week Wedding Cake has finally reached the end of her journey. Looking back, she spent three weeks in the vegetative stage and seven weeks in flower. In hindsight, I would probably count it as four weeks of vegetation and six weeks of flowering, but at this point, those numbers are no longer what matters. What matters is that she made it to the finish line, and this final photo session against the black background is the perfect way to close this chapter. This grow definitely wasn't the easiest. Wedding Cake was the very first seed to break the surface, giving her almost a one-week head start over her roommates. Ironically, they quickly caught up and eventually developed faster, showing stronger vigor throughout most of the cycle. There were moments when I wasn't sure how she would finish, but despite all the doubts, she proved she still had plenty to offer. Throughout the final week, I kept a close eye on the trichomes every time I watered. Visually, the flowers still looked like they could use a few more days, so I honestly expected to postpone harvest. The microscope told a different story. By the end of the week, the majority of trichomes on the upper colas had turned beautifully cloudy, with only a few remaining clear. Rather than waiting for a larger percentage of amber heads, I decided it was the perfect moment to harvest. She was cut down the morning after Day 70. The fading fan leaves confirmed what the trichomes were already telling me. Their rich green color slowly transformed into yellow as the plant naturally reached the end of its life cycle, a beautiful sign that she had used up almost everything she had stored. Before taking the final photographs, I gave her a light trim, removing excess foliage so the flowers could really stand out. It was the perfect opportunity to admire every frosty detail one last time before harvest. While I have to admit that her buds aren't quite on the same level as her roommates in terms of overall size and density, the main cola and upper branches produced exactly what I hoped to see from a Wedding Cake. Dense, rock-hard flowers completely coated in sticky resin, with an unmistakable oily texture that glues your fingers together. The aroma has become wonderfully rich and layered, combining sweet vanilla cake notes with creamy dough, subtle earthy undertones and just a hint of peppery spice. Exactly the kind of complex terpene profile that makes this cultivar so popular. Of course, the real verdict will come after drying, curing and the first proper smoke test, but the first impressions are certainly very promising. After harvest, I hung the entire plant upside down inside the grow box, where she will slowly dry under stable environmental conditions before moving into the curing jars. 💡 Lighting The Migro Array 4 LED has once again performed flawlessly, running at just 60% power throughout the final stage. For the size of my grow box, this has proven to be the sweet spot, providing excellent light intensity without creating unnecessary heat. Anything above 60% simply raises temperatures more than I would like. 🕒 Light Schedule: 18/6 💧 Watering & Feeding Watering remained on the usual three-day schedule. After the final watering, I intentionally gave the plant an extra day to consume the remaining moisture before harvest, helping to begin the drying process naturally. The BioTabs growing system has honestly been one of my favorite parts of this entire grow. ❤️ It's incredibly satisfying to watch a living soil ecosystem quietly do all the hard work in the background, making nutrients available exactly when the plant needs them without constant adjustments or complicated feeding schedules. After this first complete run with BioTabs, my conclusion is simple: I can't wait to use this system again in the next round. I truly expected her to need several more days, but the trichomes made the decision easy. Sometimes appearances can be deceiving, and this harvest reminded me once again that the microscope is always the best guide. Could she have produced more? Absolutely. Especially when compared to her roommates. But every grow is another lesson, and I'm genuinely happy with how she finished. The real evaluation, however, will come after drying, curing and tasting. That's when Wedding Cake will reveal the full quality she has been developing over these past ten weeks. ButterfliesLittleFarm 🍰 Wedding Cake Auto – Final Thoughts & Harvest Recap 🌱 Although I’ve already covered most of the details in my previous reports, I wanted to finish this diary with a short summary of the entire journey and my final thoughts on Wedding Cake Auto. 🍰🌿 📊 Final Stats ⏱️ Total time: 80 days from seed to harvest 🌱 Vegetative phase: 3 weeks 🌸 Flowering phase: 7 weeks ⚖️ Final dry harvest: 75 g The entire cycle went smoothly and without any major problems. As I mentioned in my previous reports, Wedding Cake Auto developed a little slower than some of the other autoflowers I’ve grown, but that seems to be simply part of her character. She took her time, but in the end, she delivered. 💚 This was also my first experience using BioTabs products, and I have to say I was very impressed with the results. Compared with some of my previous grows, the overall experience was much simpler and more enjoyable. During this cycle, my main job was simply watering with clean water, without constantly worrying about nutrient measurements and complicated dosing. 🌱💧 When it came to the flowers, there was some variation throughout the plant. The buds on the lower branches were a little more airy, while the flowers higher up — especially the main cola — developed into beautiful, dense and resinous buds with impressive quality and character. 🤩🍯 After the final photoshoot 📸, I cut the plant at the very bottom of the stem and hung the entire plant upside down in the grow box to dry. After around two weeks of drying, I took her down, trimmed the flowers and placed them into jars for further curing. ?🌿 And then comes one of my favourite parts… the aroma and flavour. 😋🍰 Wedding Cake Auto carries some truly delicious terpene characteristics, with a combination of citrus, fruity sweetness, candy-like notes and a touch of pine. Every session brings a pleasant mix of these flavours, making her an enjoyable strain from the first inhale to the last. 🍋🍬🍍🌲 With THC around 19%, the effect is definitely noticeable. For me, Wedding Cake Auto is a perfect evening companion. Once the day's chores are finished, she fits perfectly into a relaxing evening — whether I’m spending time with friends, enjoying some music, watching a movie, or simply relaxing with my wife. 🎶🎬❤️ Overall, I think that’s everything I wanted to share about my experience with this interesting strain.
