The Grow Awards 2026 🏆
The Rhino brand is synonymous with carbon filtration. Rhino’s range of carbon filters are famous across the world for their reliability, efficiency, and durability. Reliability – The Rhino Pro Filters are designed for heavy-duty air scrubbing every single day of their two-year lifespan. Designed with larger, even industrialised growing environments in mind, Rhino’s Pro Filters have put the brand on the horticultural global stage for their long-lasting reliability. The Rhino Hobby Filter range has a slightly shorter lifespan than the Pro range but is designed to give smaller and infrequent growers the same high-power air filtration during its lifespan. Rhino wants you to get the most out of your filter, and therefore offers a replacement pre-filter which helps to extend your filter’s lifespan. These pre-filters are machine washable, and it is recommended that they are changed every few months. Efficiency – Regardless of whether you are using the Rhino Pro or Rhino Hobby Filter, both rely on the powerful air filtering properties of virgin Australian RC4-12 activated carbon granules. The number in its name refers to the mesh size used to grade the carbon. The 4 means an inch divided by 4, meaning this is the biggest size of carbon used, and 12 being an inch divided by 12, giving you very small particles. Combined, this blend of carbon granules creates a bed which allows for strong air flows without compromising on filtration. The interior of the Pro filter range is designed to create an air vortex which circulates the grow room’s old, stale air in a circular motion over the carbon bed, ensuring that every inch of this air contacts the carbon and benefits from its scrubbing properties. Durability – These filters are made from a sturdy steel, with a mesh centre that keeps hold of all the powerful carbon granules, which are machine packed into the bed to guard against density loss.
