Enkell1420 Welcome to my second grow diary.
This time I try to make it as short and simple as possible.
This dairy follows 3x bear force one autoflowers from mephisto genetics.
The nutient line is completely from Biotabs.
Water system is autopots xl x4 with airbase + airdomes.
The water is tap water with an unstable PH between 5 and 6. and an EC of 0.06. I don't do anything with my water except letting it sit for at least 24 hours or if needed faster using airstones + airpump.
The setup is a weekly update of my feed schedule and a extra section for things that need attention.
Week 1:
day 1 is when all plants are germinated
3 days prior to planting seed:
Silicium flash: 75gr/20L pot
Startrex: 75gr/ 20L pot
mycotrex: 3 grams topsoil
Orgatrex: 1ml/l water
bactrex: 1gr/l water
Watered all pots with 2 liters of the above solution.
Seed plant day:
Around 100ml water with pressure spray and humidity domes made from plastic cups
Day 5: 250ml water with pressure spray
Week 2:
Day 8: 500ml water with pressure spray
Day 11: 750ml water with pressure spray
Day 14: 1L orgatrex 2ml + bactrex 1gr per pot
Week 3:
Day 15: BoomBoom spray 5ml/l spray until dripping wet
Day 17: 1250ml water with watering can
Day 20: 1500ml with watering can
Day 21: Autopot on (autopot problem see extra)
Extra:
Because I have to be able to go away for a couple of weeks I use autopots with a 250L flexitank reservoir.
Autopots with biotabs are really great if you want to leave your reservoir alone for a longer time. No worries about ph drift etc.
The hose connector that connects to the reservoir tap is of bad quality and it flooded my room in seconds.
This really sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Test everyting everytime because nothing is certain! Or you like learning things the hard way which seems to be my new standard in life.

Enkell1420 Week 4
This is the week of adding Biotab fertilizer tablets, BoomBoom spray and turning on the autopot system
Day 23:
Turned on the autopot system
Day 24:
Pushed in one biotab fertilizer tablet per pot permanent marker deep (see pic)
Sprayed every plant with BoomBoom spray 5ml/l till dripping wet (turned down light to lowest percentage till dry again)
Day 26:
turned off autopot system for dryback to handwater next day
Day 27:
Pushed in second biotab fertilizer tablet per pot permanent marker deep
Gave every plant a 2L feed
Orgatrex: 2ml/l
Bactrex: 1gr/l
Mycotrex: 1gr in tablet hole
Day 28:
turned on autopot sytem
turned on the airpump for the airdomes (pumps in extra oxygen in the pot from the bottom)
Extra:
Tablets: This round it felt like pushing tablets through concrete. I try to do this as slow as possible and try not to damage too much roots.
Mycotrex (mycorrhizae): I used 1gr in the second tablet hole. This is extra and not necessary and an little experiment on my part to get some mycorrhizae close to the roots just before flower.

Enkell1420 So week 5 has started!
The week of fast growth, early flower, from 24/0 to 20/4 and back to 24/0 and drooping plants!
day 29: switch to 20/4 schedule
day 34: orgatrex feed 2ml/l
1,5l per plant top feed. System off for 24 hours prior and after handwater. airdomes on always (when lights are on)
day 35: switch back to 24/0 schedule
Extra:
SCROG: Really nice to have a flat canopy. Does require some strategic defoliation and pruning.
Humidity: Have a hard time keeping it down with 4 plants and a canopy full of leafs and branches. I have to use an airco on dry mode and a dehumidifier with a hose connected to an inline fan which pulls in dry air. Lights out is impossible for me because of temp drop.
DROOPING PLANTS: plants started drooping few hours before light out and a few hours after. after switching back to 24/0 schedule they continued with the droop around the same time.
24/0: Because of humidity problems I am not able to drop my temps so against my better judgment I decided to go for a 24/0 cycle until harvest.
DLI and Droop: With the plants back on 24/0 I dimmed my light from 33-35 DLI (371Watt) to 25-27 DLI (292Watt). After this adjustments the plants stopped drooping and only bear force one #2 showed some drooping 5 hours later than before. I'm not sure but I still think they need some rest even when the lights are on 24/0. Maybe someone smarter than me has some useful info on this...

Enkell1420 Week 6
Week of defoliation, light feed and deficiencies.
Day 41:
orgatrex feed 2ml/l
Big defoliation round because it got way to crowded. removed overlapping and blocking leaves.
Extra:
Deficiencies: Deficiencies starting to happen as expected with 24/0 lights. I try to address this problem in week 7.

Enkell1420 Week 7
The week of problems and troubleshooting, pk booster tea, low and high humidity and headaches.
Day 45: Biotabs pk booster tea
pk booster tea: 15 gr/l
orgatrex: 2ml/l
bactrex: 1gr/l (half hour before end of brew)
Extra:
PROBLEMS:
So week 6 and 7 are full of problems, deficiencies and troubleshooting.
The plants started to show deficiencies in multiple ways.
bear force one # 2 started to droop heavily and the leaves started to show burn patern at the edges of the leaves. I believe it is a cry for potassium (I am no expert).
bear force one # 1 started to show light bleach signs later on
bear force one # 3 also started to show lighter color on top
So I think two things are happening.
1. Because of high light environment earlier application of the pk booster tea could help to provide the plants with more P and K
2. The light was frying my plants at a relatively low DLI
The DLI was around 30-35 (with uni-t lux meter paired with photone app). 45% at 60cm from canopy. This intensity was fine before but this round it's killing my plants.
I turned the light down to 33% with an DLI of 25-30 and my plants seem to like this al lot better. So the lesson is numbers don't always tell the truth and reading the plants is necessary.
HUMIDITY ANOMALY:
I have a really hard time keeping the humidity down. 55% is the best I can do with ducting and a fan connected to my dehumidifier blasting constant dry air in the tent.
This high humidity was constant until the plants were suffering under the light. After a few days the humidity dropped to 45% and less with ease.
At first I felt happy about this but soon the leaves started to feel dry like paper and bear 2 was drooping heavy.
When the humidity drops like this and leaves feel like paper YOU HAVE A PROBLEM! the plants don't transpire anymore and problems arise soon after that.
The solution was the light fix and within a day the humidity started to rise again and the leaves started to feel soft and nice again.
The drooping is also over and the leaves are all looking happy again.
24/0 hour light, grow tent + lung room:
Made the mistake to think a piece of equipment solves all my humidity issues. I've bought a spider farmer dehumidifier with extraction hose to grow in my old 4x4 again. I thought it would change everything but in reality with 4 plants, a SCROG and autopots it does nothing for me.
At this point I'm stuck and can't change anything. The lung room is getting cooled by an airco on dry mode so the room is around 60% humidity and the autopot reservoir and airpump for the airdomes stay cool. My old 25l dehumidifier works constant and a spiderfarmer heater heats the tent to temps swing between 25.5-27 celsius. So in the future I am going to use my big spider farmer 240x240 (8x8) and modify my old tents to fit inside and use the big one as lung room. So no temps drops late flower and no rest!
24/0 hours light is something that happened out of necessity.
I still don't think it's good and plants need rest. The plants seem to struggle more at this point which can be my inexperience with the schedule.
But I like the challenge and I hope I can change my mind about it and grow some fire plants.
Plan on keeping the microbes coming and keep adding the sugars to feed to engine!
Nice training work here π The canopy is opening up well and the structure looks really clean for this stage of veg. Should fill that net out nicely over time.
@World_Breeders, Thanks! appreciate it! At times I thougt the bear force ones were stunted a bit, especially because of the first preflowers signs showed up around day 21. But now I got my hopes up again and want to see them explode all over the trellis! Beautiful plants you are growing by the way. Impressive! π
@Enkell1420, Thatβs the spirit π Sometimes they just need a little more time before they really take off.
And honestly, once they start filling the trellis properly, the whole setup is going to look amazing. Really nice work so far π
And thank you so much for checking out our diaries! We still have a lot more diaries to upload, but thereβs never enough time for everything π
