Started this to fill a gap. It is almost a week behind, no big deal.
Soaked it in tap water for 24 hours then put it between a paper in a plastic sandwich bag. Once it sprouted I put it into a 2 gln pot with my super soil mix.
Gave it a light feed (1/4 dose) on the last day of week one, should be fine.
Excited to see what I can do with this new strain.
Thanks for looking.
Looks like it is starting out a bit slow. Not alot just slightly. Not sure if this is from moving it into a 2 gln pot right away. I usually go from peat puck straight into a 500 ml styrofoam cup for a cpuple of weeks then pot up. Hmmm, I wonder.
Thanks for looking.
Starting out slow and building. Nice fan leaves streaching out. Adding nutrients between waterings.
Probally pot up in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for looking.
Plant is chugging along. Topped it the beginning of the week and repotted up to my standard ten gallon fabric pot.
Added molasses to thr thr nutrient mix and a seaweed foliar spray the foliar spray seems to work good, the plant perks up and likes it.
Alls good.
Thanks for looking.
The OGKZ is coming along nicely. Stalk is thick, big fan leaves and some good growth. Seems to be liking the ten gallon fabric pot.
Due to the size of the pot I increased the watering to roughly litres every three days. I make adjustments on the fly.
FIM'd the top growth and cut some of the lower stuff off. Punched off all the side brances so the plant will build growth on the main ones. I will stop this two weeks before I flip to flower the defoliate a week before flip. I did this on another grow that is two weeks into flower and seemed to work. We'll see if it was the right move or not before long.
I figure I will veg this for about another six weeks. This is of course is dependent on room opening up in the flower room. Veging a bit longer is always a good thing.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers
Big week, grew a bunch and overall size is impressive. The fan leaves are huge, stalks are thick and overall size is the biggest by far I have ever had at six weeks. Makes me want to grow this outdoors. The good part is I have another four seeds. The three plants I started a week before have not shown the same growth.
Have not done anything differently than before, the only thing I can put my finger on is the basement has been a bit hot and higher humidity. The other plants did not show the same growth though. Had to turn on the A/C and put a heater beside them. This tells me that close to 80 degrees and 60% humidity is the sweet spot for veg.
Should be a good grow.
Thanks for looking.
Plant is growing strong, good growth this week. Did a seaweed foliar spray earlier in the week.
Thinking about one more week of veg then flipping this plant to 12/12 and start the flower.
Thanks for looking.
First week of flower and have them on the edge of the lights. Need room to open up to get them inder them. I think the plants are adjusting to the bright lights and this won't be a problem.
Fed them grow nutrients for the last time this week. Good stretch this week and all is well.
Cheers!
Plant is really budding out and some leaves are turning dark. A pretty sight.
Added silicate to the mix, read good tings about it. Would love to get some feedback from people that have or are using it. Thanks in advance.
Did some super cropping to level the canopy out, have not done that before (on purpose). Interested to see how it turns out. So far looks good.
Cheers.
Had to rearrange everything and start using the 5 x 5 tent for all the flowering. Put the 11 Timber Grow Vero cobbs in the tent. Had to customize the frame to fit it in. Customize is code work for cut up. Did not change the cobb spacing at all, just made the overall frame slightly smaller. They fit good. The tent is bright. Had to install a 6" fan to the tent to get all the air moving and keep temperature reasonable. It's slightly higher, I will work on ways to lovering it.
The OGKZ is bulking up and leaves are continue to turn darker all over the plant. A very pretty sight.
The smell is stronger and buds are very frosty. Looks like the are getting heavy, might have to watch if they need.
The hairs just started to turn orange, this plant may finish us sooner than thought.
Cheers.
Plant is darkend up a bit more and more hairs are truning darker. Seems to be ripening up sooner than expected. Smells great and frosty, love it. Seems to slowing down on drinking too.
The humidity in the tent has dropped dramatically, can't say I mind.
I have been watering a bit everyday and not waiting until the plant drys totaly out. Been giving nutrients every watering, seems to need it. Tomorrow I will give it a good soaking and leave it for a few days until I think it needs it. This may be the start of the flush. If I dont see any new hairs grow out in the next few days then its flush time for sure.
Cheers
So this is the last week. Flushed for the one week and now into darkness for a couple or so days.
Really impressed how the buds fattened out and frosted up. What a pretty plant. Hope it smokes like it smells and looks.
I am now on the final stretch. Happy days.
Cheers
The grow was fairly straightforward and no complications. Veg was fast amd stalks were the thickest to date, I was impressed. Flower was a beautiful show, colors were dark and pretty, got to love that. Buds frosted up immensely amd after the trim still looked frosty. Smell was also a beautiful fragrance, the nose does not work so good amd to be honest mybe its me too. Cant really say amd don't want to make shit up. I will leave this up to a friend and will update later with the smoke report.
I have to say this was a great and very satisfying grow. I'm not really sure if I am getting better or ot is the strain. I did change a bunch of things up. I topped at the fourth node this time, probably should have did some more topping too. Will work on that on later grows. During flower I did not let the pots get too dry, maybe 40 or 50%. I also started using a smaller area and now in a tent. Temperatures were also a bit higher, I think the Silicate helped the plan throught this. Flower I had low humidity, consistantly around 38%. Started using a PH pen part way through, just after flower started. This also seemed to help and being it was accurate. I PH'd runoff, never had to make much adjustments thought.
Thanks for following and or stopping by!
I will round up my stoner friends and smoke report to follow.
