The spiderfarmer soil sensor measures from the top completely useless. From the side through the pot between the 1st and 2nd third. I also didn't want to poke through the pot, but the values then showed me that it really makes sense to stick it in from the side🏻

@GreenHobbit, you are absolutely right. This sensor is more than just decoration. I don't trust it at all. I'm constantly upgrading my setup, and professional soil sensors are next on my list. Have a nice day.

@hassehujasse, I thought the same thing, "It can't be that I have to blast 3 liters at young plants every day." Then I stuck the sensor through the pot, and since then I've been really satisfied. This shouldn't be negative criticism.. But us guys don't like reading manuals, right? 🙈😅

@GreenHobbit, to be honest, I only use this sensor to measure the surface temperature of the soil in a pot. Cheap sensors don't provide reliable results. I never rely on just one sensor. All my pots have side holes that come from this sensor.😎
