Well, I decided to pop one more seed. Just to see what happens. Hopefully it's a little less wild.
She already sunk and popped. So she's in a wool cube. She's in the germination system for now. On an 18/6 schedule. The light will turn off at 12 am. And back on again at 6 am.
I had to mess with the temp of the heat mat is, so I got the temp sensor one so I know what to do.

Looking pretty good. I'm not sure if leaving the seed in the open air inside the cube is a good thing. She's growing nicely in there. No problems at all.
My plan for now is leave the light at 60% and wait for her to get a tap root. Then she goes in the tent in her final container. Being hydroton. DWC.
I'll get all the light measurements when she goes in the tent. I have the light set to a DLI of 16 mol.
20% light power. The fan is 6" this time around and wow, does it work. I should have put up the support bars.
Speaking of lights and what it. My supplemental lights are installed now. Lower to the bottom of the canopy. There won't be any missing lights in my tent. Thank you very much. Lol.

Ahhhhhhhhh! Where the hell did my entries go?! Well, this is day 5 of living or something like that.
Anyway, she has been planted in the DWC bucket. 1 good tap root. Vs, several roots, but not the tap root. Could be good could be bad, but this one has no issues of the sort.
She's in a very mild nutrient solution, just to help get the ball rolling. Next week we can bring it up to half strength. Then the week after, she should be in veg and we should be around 75% of the dose. I'm thinking it'll be full strength by week 4. No idea why I'm writing this now. We aren't even in the veg stage.
So far, everything looks good. 73° and 62%
Not much else to say. She's definitely a healthy seedling. Leaves are still curving down though.

The humidifier ran out of water last night. At like 1:30 am. So there was no humidity in the tent for 6 hours. Eek! I have to remember to do that.
She seems fine though.
The water is getting really warm and there's already a smell of piss. I can't remember if I added hydrogaurd or not. It seems not. Well, I'll just have to swap the water out tomorrow. I was gonna keep it in there for a week, but it's already compromised. Not sure where it came from to be honest. The water might have been warm, yes, but the rest is fine. What I'm trying to understand is how it's getting like this so quickly. The water was warm this morning. Not very warm, but warm enough. Maybe there won't be any issues. I really hope I added the hydrogaurd. I think I did, but not 100% sure.
Again, I'll be swapping the water tomorrow in light of the piss smell. But who knows, I have a bottle of ice in there now. The temp should be fine by now. I'll have to swap ice bottles out a few times a day. I still don't have a chiller. I think I can get one for a few hundred, but that's a little overkill.
I need an external water cooling agent that pulls from the bottom and empties at the top. That should keep the water cool throughout the bucket, but I can't find one like that for less than a couple hundred. And I can't afford it. It's times like this I would like being in soil. I don't have to worry so much about water temp and whatnot. It would be in soil which buffers the warmth. Unlike the DWC which needs to be between 64° and 69° at all times.
Anyway, the environment was better for her on the germination system. But she was showing tap roots and I don't let them get too long.
The DLI is like 11 mol. And 178 PPFD. Or something to that matter. I think once I see that true set of leaves I'll increase the light to 16 mol. So 20% power. Right now the light is on the lowest setting and 27" away. I think. I'll have to remeasure.

It's been a week and we have a seedling still. Not gonna lie, but this seems to be a bit slow. I'm going to turn up the grow light today. I have a feeling she just isn't getting the light she needs. And now that's it's been a week or so, increasing the light intensity is very important anyway.
Water check. The water is nearly always warm. That's a problem. I need something to keep the water cool, like constantly.

Well, the water smells like piss. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 AGAIN!!! I'm gonna change the water and clean the shit outta this bucket and all the fixins.
The heater is killing my water temp. Again. It's not warm enough in the tent. I have the heater pointing at the opposite corner of the bucket in the corner. The humidity is fine, but the apparently, there just isn't enough heat coming off the light.

Got some pics of this one. Leaning so hard. Google suggested it needs more light. Also Google wouldn't give me a straight answer for a bit. It kept focusing on the clay pebbles. Then it said, the most likely reason isn't enough light, but the PPFD is 250. DLI is 16.1 mol. I don't think it's a lighting thing. Maybe I'll turn it up and see what happens. It's only on 20% power and 25.5" away from the little lady. That seems like the perfect spot. But is it?! I can't tell. But I'm going to increase the light power to 30%.
Other than that, I have concerns. She's all bent over and the actual leaves are facing the light. Not sure if my top feed system is working. I think it's clogged. But I thought I cleaned the shit out of the ring. I may have not done so. I thought I did. The one that isn't installed is clean as a whistle.
Unfortunately I don't think I can replace the system now. It's buried in the pebbles. And then putting it back in. Nope. The roots have already started to grow in the pebbles... I think. Lol. Either way, I'm concerned.
The first one is surprisingly standing straight and tall. I didn't kill her yet. I wanna see how far she gets with very little attention. I'm keeping the environment in check, and I've attempted to feed her, but I don't think it works.
Other than that, I changed the ice bottles out. Not sure if it needed it or not, but I did it anyway. It'll keep cooler for longer. I plan on changing them out again this afternoon and before bed time. Gotta remember to top off the humidifier. Too bad I don't have a constant flow of distilled. Now I have to buy them at the store. .49 per gallon. Is it me, or does that seems a little expensive for water?
Anyway, I'm planning on checking the water after the ice bottles do their work.
Oh, this is day 12 seedling. She seems to be making moves. At least while she leans she might be gathering Intel. Lol but no. The leaves are still growing. However. I have to say that since I've been running Hydroponics, I've seen this leaning every time. But with soil, it never happened. I'm pretty sure I'm doing something very wrong.

So she's definitely in veg now. Also starting to straighten out. I think it's from the light intensity. Must have been too low before. Anyway, looks like things are coming together for her. Happy with that.
I changed the water out today. It smelled like piss again. The water got pretty warm overnight. The heater was on to 75° so I changed it to 68° heat should be fine now.
Anyway, the water. I did half a dose. Minus a little more. She should be good with that. If not, I can always flush and then lower the dose. But it's already like under half a dose.
I think I want a coffee. Brb
And I'm back. Coffee in hand.

Welcome to the first week of our journey.
I'm your grow guide, Greg.
This week we focus on growing and getting the doses right. I won't be doing anything to the plant for at least another week or so, except for watering.
We have roots! Coming out of the bottom of the basket. That was actually faster than I thought. Sweet! Soon she's gonna take off and I'll be ready.
The environment is a little bit wonky. Actually a lot wonky. It won't go above 71°. I think it's the humidity and the humidifier that are causing the issue. I can't take out the humidifier though. It's still needed. Maybe not as hard as it's going.
I haven't checked the water yet today. But I gotta anyway to get the TDS. for the diary.

Forgot at add ice bottles last night, so the water was a little warm. 2 ice bottles in and now we are cooling down.
It'll also gave me a chance to check the water readings. And adjust as needed. I'm not changing the water out again this week. The way she looks now tells me she's fine with the nutrient mix now. Or it was the light, or both. Probably both.

So I'm checking everything today. She looks absolutely fantastic. Excellent color, growth and sturdiness. So far very happy. BUT I have a question. I forgotten to swap ice bottles last night and the bucket was like 73.2°. I'm changing the water now I guess. Not a big deal. Easy to mix. Takes a couple hours though.

I'm swapping the water again. This time all the stuff was covered in brown algae. So I filled up a 5 gallon bucket pHed the water and put her on the bucket. There's definitely stuff all over the place. I'm gonna clean out the bucket.

Apparently my readings got deleted or I just can't see them.

Anyway, there's the readings after I pHed and cooled the bucket off.
So far that seems to be good for her. She's a beautiful green a little light, but I'm expecting that for a bit. And she is bursting with growth. I think she's being slowed down by the brown algae I cleaned everything with vinegar, peroxide and isopropyl. In stages of course. So I don't get where the bloom is coming from. It's all over the roots too.
And where the hell is the hydroguard? It's supposed to be in the water. It's in the bucket, I know it is. Does it get depleted over time? Like if it's working too hard? I dunno.
Just looked it up. It gets depleted. Looks like I'm adding some more hydroguard.
Overall, she's really healthy and starting to grow pretty fast too. She's got a good amount of roots now. But there's stuff in them. I think it's yet again, another bloom. I don't get it. The water generally stays in range. So that's not it. I cleaned the shit out of the equipment. I don't get it. I switched air stones with fresh new ones.
Yoooo! So I'm a writer. I wrote short stories and books on fantasy. Well, just a minute ago I realized I was writing a story I had in mind. Bahahahahah.

So she's starting to grow. And fast. Soon enough I'll be wall to wall with this one.
So here's the deal. I can definitely bend the top over. My fear is she's gonna break. Still 4" tall, but she's getting more leaves. More nodes and more side branches.

The water was at 73° this morning. I swapped out ice bottles. I'm gonna give it an hour or so then change out the water bottles again. I'm aiming for 67°

And here we go! LST started. First bend was the top and a couple nodes came with as well. The bottom main stem didn't even move. This will be so much better. I think with the bud clips and my tie down solution will do very well combined. Use the clip to bend the branch 90° and then continue the horizontal position. That should do really well combined.
So now what I can do is wait for the branch to be long enough for the clip. It's has to be able 3 inches long before I can use the clips. Maybe 4 inches.

Not much to do today. Water was fine. I added 2 ice bottles to keep the temp down. Other than that, my first tie down bent the stem over as well. So I anchored it. Good thing too as I feel the hydroton is not too grippy with such a small stem. I assume it will be thick once veg gets more vigorous.
I swapped out the bottles one last time for the night. She should be fine by morning.

Temp: 63.9° kinda cool. But it'll warm up in no time.

I'll be keeping an eye on the temp today.
So I increased the light to 50%. The DLI was 29 something.
It's just the end of week 2 veg. I think I can go to 38 with the CO2 bag, but I'll stick with 30 mol. At least for now. I'm following the Photone app. They have a chart for each week. So week 2 of veg is supposed to be 20 mol, but week 3 will be a little different. I'm increasing the light to 35 mol. According to the chart, I have a range of 30 to 38 (CO2) to work with for next week I think my goal will be 35 mol. I'm pretty sure I had it at 18 mol. But now I can do what I want to do. Tie downs during veg. Just be careful. If they get long enough, I'm going to use a bud clip and then tie it down.
(what a run-on) lol.
Anyway, the environment is pretty good, but for some reason the temp wants to stay at 80°. It's set to 75° I mean don't get me wrong, they seem to be working fine. The humidity is pretty good I have it set to 60% but next week will be set down to 55%. Once flowering starts I'll start with 40 mol (DLI) and increase it to 45 mol next week. That should stay for a few weeks. I'm going either 6 or 7 weeks veg. Then I should be able to make it look good.

This week we focus on training and doing a very small defoliation.
Training is simple this time. Find a branch long enough, add a bud clip and anchor it down.
I will start with the lower. They waste space and take energy.
I am using the Photone app to measure light intensity. This week the DLI is 38 mol. I also increased the light intensity to 70%. I should probably lower the power and drop the light. I could drop it to 24 inches. And set the light to 50% that's if the plant doesn't like it. I can drop the light to 60%. However, she seems to be taking the light on without any issues.
Water swap today. I followed the instructions in the bud labs app. Base was 45 ml, but I cut it down to 30 ml. She seems to enjoy that. At least as far as I can tell.
Anyway, she's a very healthy girl. I'm gonna wait til I get 5 nodes and I'll start defoliating . It's the one thing I'm not the best at. I will take a few here and there. Sometimes like 10 and it does absolutely nothing. But that was auto-flowers. This a photoperiod. Soni can make mistakes and fix them.
Topping?
I'm not sure that I want to tpp yet. I'd rather go through a basic run for now. Tie downs, bud clips and a SCROG net. It's all LST so it should be good. I can make mistakes and have to worry too much about them. Although, I've been running autos for 4 years. This is my first photo. I figure if autos are harder to work with, then I wonder how I'll do. I'm also planning on 7 weeks to get the tent full. I'll deal with the stretch when it comes. Currently she's about 7 inches tall. I'm going to try to stay under 18"

Shit! My readings disappeared. Oh well. We shall start today.
I really need to figure something out with the temp in the bucket. I have ice bottles in there, but when the bottles run out of ice, it heats up pretty quick. Especially when changing from night to day temps. Heater blasting for an hour and I'm not Awake at 6 am. Lol I'm usually up by 8 to 930, so there's 3 hours with no ice and hot heater. Anyone know where I can get a water chiller?
With summer upon us, temps are getting high and staying there. That being said, the tent is having trouble cooling off to 78°. Not that 80 isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's still in range and I still have my CO2 bag in the tent. So she can handle a little more heat. More light and more growth.
Unfortunately, the AC isn't strong enough to cool the apartment entirely. It's kinda weird how it's 75° in the apartment with the AC on. Full blast.

We have some excellent leaf growth overnight. The leaves are wide, kinda like an indica.
The temp in the water was at 71° a little high, but I added a couple ice bottles.
Another thing I saw was the hydroguard fully at work. It seems to be so. It is cleaning off the roots currently. It'll keep doing that for the rest of the run. Hopefully.
The environment is pretty good. Nothin to complain about.

Not sure how much more, but I'll figure it out. Unless there's a lockout. Then I'm pretty sure I need to flush and give a fresh dose in a few days.

The pH is kinda high. It's within the limit, but still a bit close. I'll probably pH it, but I'm swapping water out tomorrow anyway. I kinda want to give the roots a bit of a swish in some clean pHed water. I'm getting root debris. And I'm convinced it's from the nutrient concentration. It was too high. So now that it's all set, can we continue to explore and clear out monster nests.
The environment surprisingly is really good right now. Stable. Much easier to work with stable numbers huh?

Had to pH today. So 5.8 it is. I'll get to the readings in a little while. I started pulling off the leaves facing inward. Not too many. Just a few. Don't went to lose my energy absorbing power. Although, I read that week 3 and 4 for photoperiod plants are fine to start defoliating. I guess I'll look into it a bit more before I start snipping.

I'll be honest, my issue now is the Advanced Nutrients. It's really hot and I have no idea how much to feed. I'll figure it out soon enough. I'm down to half dose. Still too high. Replaced the water with new clean water.
Other than that, she has an excellent color green. Strong branches. Roots are getting big. It's pretty normal looking. Not much praying, so I'm working on that.
Some leaves are clawing down. Classic sign of nitrogen toxicity. Don't know what to do about that. I don't want to flush. Or dilute water by replacing a gallon with a fresh plain water. It dilutes the

So let's talk about these numbers. If I understand correctly, the EC needs to be LOWER than the TDS?
As you can see, the EC is significantly higher than the TDS. I'm wondering what might be causing that. What is that?!
When I woke up this morning and checked the pH. It was nearly 7.0 perfectly neutral. I of course immediately moved the plant to a completely clean bucket all ready to go with the perfect mix. Except it has too much nitrogen?!
She's got clawing on a few leaves. It has to be some sort of lockout. But how? I backed off the nutes by 50% yesterday. And it's now clawing. I think that means she's not going to grow well. I need to fix this like now.
I'm wondering when that would be though. There's also root debris in her bucket. Somehow I have to get it all out. Back into the bucket she goes. I have a sieve, so I'm gonna try it. Scooping out all the debris.
Update: I decided to flush the plant for a day or 2. So I cleaned out the other bucket and replaced the old bucket with the new one. Maybe the roots will clear it out.
But! What does it do to the growing? Granted I know it's gotta be bad. So what should I do? What if the flush doesn't work?
We shall see.

I typed up a long reply but lost it so here’s a quick 1 :)
It looks like you may have early stages of root rot.
The rising PH, roots don’t look white they look like they’re starting to brown.
Your best bet is to go sterile at this point.
You could try to fight the battle with beneficials but it’s easier if you don’t have them to hand to save the plant by using sterile system H2o2 bath of the roots wash them vigorously in a 1/3 part h202 bath.
Clean the res using h202 then continue with adding 5-10ml/Gal to maintain sterility you will need to add it every 2-3 days.
You can also use Calcium Hydrochloride which is another preferred anti microbial.
When running sterile you can forget beneficial microbes in the res however you can still apply them as a foliar including kelp which is great for sick plants.
If your roots smell at all earthy then that’s just the start the plant will wilt then the roots will start to smell eggy it happens very rapidly.

A new week and one of excitement! Trimming week. She has massive fan leaves at the bottom of the canopy. I think I need to take them off anyway. Lollipop. Maybe. She's only 10" tall. Mostly from the training. It's fine. I'm gonna keep training until I run out of space. Then I'll switch to 12/12.
Currently the DLI is 32 mol. She definitely seems to like it.
Anyway, this week we are focused on tie downs and trimming. There's also a bunch of huge leaves on the bottom that need to go away. It's not many. But they will open up huge spaces for lower growth to catch up.
As for the environment. I've dropped the humidity down to 55% for the week. I think I'll leave it here until I get to flower.

She looks much better. A nice reach and color coming back to the leaves. The tips are starting to get yellow. Time to up the dose to 75%. I'll keep an eye on those tips. If they start getting bigger, I'm gonna add more nutes in the current bucket.
I also trimmed some of the lower canopy. Branches and leaves. I'm not doing anymore for another week.

Higher than yesterday. Strange. There better not be another nutrient lockout. Everything looks great! Still don't know how to increase the TDS over the EC. But I'm not seeing any way to do that.
She seems to be perfectly happy now. No longer clawed, no more light green. Excellent prayers. Goes to show all she needed was a bit of time. Oh and the yellowing tips have stopped. And she grew like an inch last night.
The environment is also spot on. 75° and 60%
I've decided to put the support beams up after all. I know I'll be needing them. And I can attach the trellis to the poles and the support beams. Making the grow area even bigger. And that folks is how I'm going to get 1 plant to fill the 4x4. Huge difference.
The support beams also to prevent the walls from caving in on me. And squeezing the plant size down.
Oh and the water finally leveled out. The pH is still right on target. 5.92 even better than yesterday.
But I did notice that's from yesterday to today, today was higher. Not sure what to do here. I'll figure it out.

Looking good. Her leaves are growing super fast. I'll have to do a nother defoliation the middle of next week. It should be enough time for her to bounce back from the defoliation. Then week 7 is the last week of veg. But based on her size right now and a couple more weeks of growing, she'll be needing that trellis soon.
I might have to buy another trellis if she shoots up like I'm expecting. I could use the big string one. I have to cut it to size first. Then I can install it. But it's a pain on the ass. So an elastic one is better.

I had this whole thing written out and now it's gone. Boooo.
I dropped an ice bottle in the bucket to cool it off a bit. It was 70.6° looks like the insulation is working. Hopefully having the water at a steady temp and not over 72° should do it. Maybe even clean up the top roots. I don't think it's root rot, because there's no weird smell, not slimy, just brown.
I think I'm gonna put the support beams on today. She's 12" tall now. So I'll put the beams about 2.5 ft. That way she grows right into it with a little help from me.

Update:
I can't install these support beams. They were supposed to be installed when building the framework of the tent. Then put the tent back on. I suppose I could get longer air hoses and move the plant out of the tent so I can take it off and install the beams. I'll need them to be about 3 inches below the 3 ft marker on the poles. I might try to do it without taking the tent apart. Next run I'll be installing them.

She looks amazing! The water was a bit warm this morning, but a new ice bottle went in. And now it's 64°. It'll climb to about 68° in no time.
So I'm waiting for the small leaves to get bigger. In the meantime I'll pick off big leaves on top to get access to the lower bud sites. And there's a lot of bud sites. More to come during the stretch.
The environment is spot on now that equipment is in a bigger tent. The AI is keeping everything under control for me. Humidity and temp are almost always spot on.
And as you can see above, the water is still very well in range.
Perfect for a happy growing plant. I think I have to increase the nutes though. Much too low for this size plant and age. She should be able to handle quite a bit. I think I'm gonna do a flush before I flip to flower the add the bloom nutrients. I'll see what happens I guess. Lol flipping to flower will still be at the 7 week mark.

New week folks! This week is kinda busy. I have to either lift the light or drop the intensity. I personally would turn the light up to level 6. For the time being that is. I think I get to use a much higher intensity with the thingy I have. We'll see. It's a 500 watt light, so I have plenty light to work with.
She is growing quite rapidly at least the leVes are all getting bigger.

The ones with purple stems seem to be a sign of readiness to me. That was quick. Lol there's a whole bunch. So I've got my work cut out for me.

Honestly I'm not sure how it changes, but I have people trying to explain. Lol. My meter reads in both ppm and cm. I'm still not seeing how the TDS is higher than the EC. I'm confused.
I've been topping her off with a half mix of nutes for now. Also I also increased the Hydroguard to 5 ml per gallon. I will get this brown stuff somehow.
Hopefully it will clear up before I flip to flower.
But there is so much root mass. I don't think it's getting all the bubbles. I have 3 air stones in there. It can't be oxygen related. Environmental is also out of the question. My system is pretty on point now. The water temp is fine as well. Just around 67°.
I feel like I'm missing something. I'll update if I remember.

She's about a half inch away from the net. She'll definitely be touching the net at some point today or grown over the net. That would be cool. I have a few promising tops. They are a little low, but I'm hoping for the next week and a half to really get some growth. And the trellis is gonna be used hardcore. I'm gonna weave this fucker like a bad sweater maybe. LMAO.
She also looks great! The leaves are still kinda canoeing. Is the light actually that bright?! I need a person here to look at it and say yep or nope. Lol anyway, it looks more like they are opening up them old wrinkles. That has to be it. There's no way a photoperiod takes less than a DLI of 31.2 mol at this age. Nope.

We have touchdown! More like kissed.. Not completely, but there's a few leaves that grew over the net along with a top or two. Still touchdown.
Ice bottle was replaced this morning. I also topped her off about 3/4 gallon. It brought the roots down a bit so they're fully under water. Just below the net pot. I know it should be 1" to 2" inches between the water and the net cup, but the roots are also important. Not to mention how fast she's taking the water down. She'll need another half gallon tomorrow morning. Maybe more.
When I changed the ice bottles out, the roots blocked the bottom of the bucket, so I had to put my ice bottle in the one spot. With roots under it. I might be able to move them. With a paint stick.
Lucky I have 3 air stones in the bucket. The only place it's not bubbling is by the access panel. The rest is a bubbly haven for dirty roots. The only thing is, the roots are officially too big for the bucket. Again. Sweeet. Now I just need a bigger bucket. Lol.
A quick look at the leaves. They look fantastic. Beautiful rich green. Spreading out the wrinkles to make her big and strong.
I had to pull some off as I went looking around at the plant. So far, I don't have any dead or dying leaves. So that's good.
Oh and she SMELLS.iem wow. She smells. Good aroma. Powerful too. And we haven't even hit flower yet. Oh no. Not sure how I'm gonna keep the smell locked in while I'm working on the plant. Lol. No bueno indeed.

Last week of Veg. So I'm going to do some defoliating and maybe some pruning. We shall see.
As for today, only to put it back up later. I mixed a whole new batch today. Lookin good.
So I started with pHed water with hydroguard in it. 2.5 gallon. Let it sit for a bit. Then go full ham on those bees. Use the rune stones to squeesh the whole thing together. I dunno. Either way, I think it helped with the roots. And I'm not sure if it will work or not. I'm going to check on it on a little while. To see if there's bubbles work. Not a clue what's going on with that writing. But it's funny so I'm leaving it.
Anyway, the plant was in the Hydroguard solution for about 15 minutes. Then went into the new bucket fresh with nutrients. So far she looks great. I used a slightly higher dosage than last week. Then we switch her to 12/12 next week. I can't wait!

Well, that's cool. No pHing. I'm not sure if this is too much for her. And I don't really know what it should be at for EC and TDS.
So I topped her off with a lower dose mix I'm not too sure the current mix is kinda high. Not really sure what to look for. I'm seeing a few things. Some clawing like it's a nitrogen toxicity, but then there's other leaves with perfect signs of deficiency. It shouldn't be calcium. I use cal/mag regularly. I have to look more into this.
I just read that the pH should be between 5.5 and 6.2. Mine is at 6.3 and that's where it likes to be.
As for the plant itself, she looks great! Perfectly flat canopy. The new growth is a little light colored. So I'm assuming some sort of deficiency. I'll have to look it up. Anyway, other than that, I've been keeping the lower part of the plant from growing anything. Like the little bud sites below the canopy. This will be nothing, So I took them out. I also snipped a few lower leaves. Can't wait for the end of the week. I really want to see how much she grows.
The environment is pretty good. 75° and 55% humidity, give or take a few degrees. And percentage.

Anyway, she's finally praying. And looks great! Roots are getting even bigger. Green is coming back to the new growth.
I also spread her out so the leaves and tops get hooked in an outer cell. It worked for the most part. Some of the tops aren't tall enough yet. We'll get there. Still have 2 to 3 weeks of stretching to go.
The environment has been wonderful for the last couple of weeks. Nothing really to talk about.
The only thing I'm really concerned with is the nutrients. I'm mixing a gallon of full strength nutrients. In theory, it should be fine.
Oh and and I increased the light intensity and raised the light back to 24 inches. Now the DLI is just over 40 mol. I'm keeping an eye on it though. I had some awesome praying this morning.

Last day of veg folks! I topped her off with the normal dose and swapped out the ice bottle.

So I'm pretty sure the readings I'm getting now are deceiving with my pH/EC/TDS/Salinity/Temp meter. I think I need to reset the whole thing. Nope. Nothing to reset. Why is it automatically changing to a different unit of measure?
Anyway, the plant looks happy and healthy. She should take quite nicely to the new feeding and light schedule. We shall see.
So the light is still at the perfect intensity. She's praying very nicely. Power level 7 and 24 inches from the canopy. No complaints here.
Environment is looking good as well. 75° and 55% just right.

May I just take a second and apologize for the way I've been running this diary. I've missed days and days when I'm normally pretty well on top of things. Don't know why I'm missing so much.
And I also haven't been doing many videos. Or any really. I think I have 1 up for the whole run. I'll start doing videos during flower. And I plan to be more consistent with future entries. I know it's a lot to read, so thanks if you got this far. Lol
Anyway, enough about all that. The plant. Let's look at the plant. Well, she had some leaves snipped off. I cleaned up all the new growth under the canopy. Everything looks good now. I started my first of scrogging net. Tomorrow should have a few more tops to weave.

This lady looks great! Taking perfectly to the scrog net.
I think I took enough leaves off her for the time being. I'll wait for week 3 and I'll do 1 more defoliation and clean up some lower little bits.
So I changed to temp to 81° with the flip. I have a CO2 bag. So I can increase the temp some. I left the humidity alone at 55% for now. I'll drop it to 50% in a week or so.
Anyway, she seems to be taking to the new mix just fine. At least I don't see any issues now. We'll see in the next few days. Last run started out great and then something happened at the start of flower. Then it continued through the rest of flower and into the maturing stage. This time it's a photoperiod, so I have to be careful. I'll need as much Hydroguard. I'm gonna need more. Lol.
Lots of growth across the whole plant. It seems to be growing all the tops at once. Perfect. With a few tall ones and a few just below the net line. Should get there during the stretch.

She's ready to stretch. Maybe tomorrow. I'm going to continue to train her for the rest of the week. Maybe for the next 2 weeks. Leave her alone for week 3 then a final defoliation. After that we just watch her grow.

I'm hoping I can keep her under 4 ft. But all tops for the 4 ft. Like a giant Popsicle.

Anyway, I topped her off with the rest of the jug from yesterday. She took on about a gallon and a half. But that was over the course of a couple days.

I need to let you know that I made some changes. The light, in my opinion, was too close to the canopy at 19"

So today I have filled the other bucket to use as a reservoir when I top up. I can just pump what I need and then turn it off. I feel like this way is better than taking the time to do every jug separately. Now I only have to fill one thing up.
The only thing is, I feel like I'm adding way too much in nutes. I mean, 30 ml for one bottle is insane. And that's just 1 bottle out of 12. 12! Good thing I'm using a 7 gallon bucket. So there's plenty of room for mixing.
I feel like this is going to scorch her though. Like way too hot.
Then it'll be pHed water with hydroguard. Or maybe I can take a gallon out and add a gallon. But then I think I'd have to make another mix and make it much lighter than this one. Hopefully I'm wrong and she's doing awesome. So far she has been really good. A couple leaves with claws, and calcium deficiency. I think. Either way, she's getting 30 ml of cal/mag.
It's supposed to be 20 ml, but I did 30 ml to help with the deficiency.
The rest will be 30 ml each. It's insane. I think I already said that, but it needs a second insane.
Anyway, the environment has been changed slightly. The humidity is now down to 50%. I really wanted it at 55% for the next week or 2, but no dice. There's too much moisture in the air and the plant can't keep up with it. So now I'm getting condensation between the leaves and a lot of it. So I had to drop the humidity down to 50% no more condensation that I can see. There's too many leaves. But nothing obvious like it was. I'll check on it again when I top her off.
Now the fun part. The scrog net is working it's wonders now. The actual stretch is here now. I'll continue to use the net until the tent is filled up. I'm expecting a large plant out of this run. 7 weeks in Veg and now 10 weeks of flower. BIG BUDS! Big plant. I spread out nearly all of the outside of the plant and about half of the center. Kinda hard to find a good place to tuck. But about 75% tucked and weaved.
And guess what? We are hitting all 3 walls! Sides and back. I train the front branches to the sides and not in front of me. Easier to get to everything. The only thing I can't really do is remove all the leaves that need removing, BUT that's a bad idea. I can wait for the next 3 weeks of flower I guess.

She looks great! Tons of new chutes coming in. Lots and lots of foliage. A bit too much. And the roots are insanely huge. I filled her up this morning and now she needs like 2 gallons for a top off. I'll do it in the morning.

Good day today. We have some great growth throughout the whole plant. Everything is growing all at once. That being said, I had to raise the light a bit. I also wanted to increase the footprint. This plant is as big as the tent. So I wouldn't benefit from anywhere near 18 inches. I think I'm at 23 inches now. That should be good. And it better be. I'm very close to the top.
I also increased the light power from 7 to 9. I was gonna do a full 10, but let's not waste electricity. Shall we? Lol
Anyway, looking good. Great color. Light green at the bud sites. Lush green throughout the whole plant. And I can officially say all the walls are getting touched. Even the front has leaves that might make it. Nope, they won't. Mwahahahaha they get chopped off.
She's also super strong. Like no wiggle or jiggle when shaking the main stem. Nothin. Very happy for that. It means I might not need the second trellis after all. Pfft. I'm getting a second one anyway. Speaking of... Aaaaaaaand... Ordered. It'll be here tomorrow.
Finally, the water. I topped her off this morning. Ya know, I wish I had done this a while ago. Use a different bucket to hold the top off mix. Wow. Dumb moment. Anyway... Now that I have that squared away. The water looks really good. I think. I can tell what the pH is and the temp. EC and TDS allude my knowledge base. A little help would be appreciated. However. I think I'm running into an issue. My EC is like 4.18 mS. I feel like that's a very high number. But since I know nothing about it, I don't have a clue. It doesn't seem to bother the plant at all. So I'll keep up with the monitoring for issues.

What a good day. Shes holding strong with the increase in DLI reading. Same thing with the PAR reading. She's probably about 20 inches away from the light. And I was spot on. 20 inches! She's also 24 inches tall. Even with the net holding the plant down. It's legit causing a bulge in the middle of the canopy. I'm definitely gonna need that second net. It'll be here today.
The main concern is moving around the exhaust system. I know I have to reverse everything around, and that's another concern. I won't have a way of blocking the small particles without a good filter. Anyway, I'm going to take the exhaust out of the tent and only have the duct work matching the top of the tent. Now there will be lots of space for the light.
So I have a bug problem. They are supposed to be thrips I think I have just the larvae. So I sprayed the shit out of the plant with crop defender 3. I dropped the light power and fan speed. It looks dry already. Which means I'm going to wait for a few minutes before lights out and do another spray.

So I think there's some sort of issue. Both the EC and TDS are really high compared to yesterday. Unfortunately I still have no idea what to do about it.
Anyway, she grew quite a bit overnight I'm glad I set up the second trellis. So now I can control the direction of the colas. Making it much easier. AND I still get to trim her up after the stretch.
The environment is spot on. The heater is overheating now. So there's that. But it seems to be keeping the tent at a solid 81° f.

She got really big really fast. There's just too many leaves though. Too bad I didn't snip enough 3 weeks ago. Oh well, I'm gonna work around it and hopefully open up space.
Not a clue how the EC and TDS are so high. Is that a thing? Super high EC and TDS. What do I do? I topped off with some pHed water with Hydroguard.. gotta keep everything in order.
The environment is spot on. Like everything is perfect. Maybe a little warm for the humidity level. Looking really good though.

She's almost empty! Holy drinking batman! I'm mixing up a new reservoir. I don't know if I want to top off or pull the remaining water and completely replace it with the new mix. I'm thinking new mix.
I also think I poisoned the water. I accidentally poured fouled water in the bucket. Then I smelled it. Damn. But she looks super happy and healthy.
So.etho g I'm concerned about is the sudden stretching. We have like 3" internodal spacing. That's much too long. Is my light not bright enough? Do I need to increase the power

She's touching the upper trellis! Yes!!!! Just a couple tops so far. I'm thinking of training it and keeping the same height. That way the rest of the plant can catch up.
The environment is pretty good. Temp is perfect and the humidity a bit high. It should be 55%, but it's 60%
Anyway, she's looking great! Lots of mixed leaves. New growth, old growth. Light green to dark green. I plan on taking anything that is old and dark off. With as many as is there, there will be plenty of air flow and light penetration. Now I'm working the VPD. 1.37 kPa.
