Second week off flowering, first week for the diarie.
Pre growth began behind my window and then moved outside to my balkoney, a few weeks later i desided to allso use my last 2 seeds so now i have 6 plants. 1 of them the White Widow is the youngest and the smallest.
Pre growth was very slow and i even let the girls out one night when it was freezing, so they know hardship !
The white widows are freebies from 2018, the OG Kush is also from march 2018 and not sealed, so i was glad they still germinated. The royal highness is also from last year, this grow is just to clean up my last seeds, and not throw them away.
Allmost at the beginning of week 4 and i will make a start with green sensation.
The OG-Kush in the middle, is growing more as a sativa then the other ones. I like the way the white widow grows ( far left) and how it is developing its flowers. At this
moment the WW looks better then the OG as a indoor plant. I tried the WW (RQS) outdoor in 2012, it did very good no mold or anything. 1 year later i learned that it is beter to use
auto-flowers outside, they don t get that big and they are done much quicker and the potency is about the same or even beter.
The only reason i am growing inside now is because of the neighbours, for potency it does not matter that much but for taste outside is king.
Week 4 starting with green sensation. Seen a few plant lice hoping around, perhaps i will set some lady bugs free if i can buy or find them somewhere, not enough of them to be a real problem.
I don t know why 1 of my WW's is getting a bit yellow, perhaps some slight light burn in combination with some nutrient deficiency.
The ladies that i started outside and are the oldest look the best and are the ones allready producing trichomes. the younger ones only a tiny amount, they where raised inside and never outside. I started outside because i wanted to see if 2 or 2.5 months pre growth ( even if it is slow growth) makes a plant healthier, and lets it produces more trichomes/ thc/cbd. It seems that it is better for the ladies.
The pre-growth was very slow because of the cold and lack of light, but i did this on purpose so they would stay at a good size for growing indoors. The transition from outside to led-lights is easy, I just put them under one 50 watt cob led..I think it took them 1 week to get used to the LED light,
I have trouble getting the humidity under 60 %, however i can remeber from my last grow that the humidity lowerd with every day of flowering, in a week or so i will have 50 % humidity or so..This is Probably my ladies drinking more and in this way helping to lower the humidity.
I m using COCO and i have to flush every 2 or 3 days, the downside of this is a higher humidity.
Week 5, one of my White widows got some lightburning. I still don t understand why because the WW next to it does not. Perhaps i need more space between the COB leds, mabey it is just not healthty enough to take these lights at
full power. At the moment i am glad when humidity drops to around 55 %, but most of the time it is between 60 and 65 % , i hope that this will get beter. A few days ago i did some defoliation mostly for beter airflow between the
ladies and in this way i hope to lower the humidity and stimulate bud grow.
Start of week six, the light burning on one of my ww is fading away. Increased the feeding a little.
PH levels of my drain is about 6.0/ EC of my drain is around 2.0 this means i stay at around 1.7 or 1.8 ec when feeding. I can t see any real burning symptons, but i don t wan t my EC going to far above 2.0.
At this stage an EC of 2.0 should be just right, atleast when using cocos .
Half-way week 7, my humidity is to high ( 55 to almost 80 ). Got 2 fans and an intake working overtime,i took away more leaves but still it is raining outside and without some expensive equipment i m not going to get a lower humidity.
It will have to do, a shame i allready had to cut 1 big top away because of some upcoming budrot,
Luckely i can t see any budrot anywhere else. The wether looks to be a bit beter the next few days so this is good for a lower humidity.
I allready started a partial flush a few days ago. Between now and 1.5 weeks everything should be ready for harvest. I rather flush a few days early.
Because i had to cut 1 top, I allready tried some of the OG in my vaporizer. It is like some good old school weed, and that is the way i wan t it to be.
I have started flushing my ladies, i am waiting for a few days with 2 og plants because i think they will need about 10/12 days to be ready. The rest is probably ready within 7 days so they need to be flushed.
Update; started an early harvest, i can t see more then 1 or 2 amber trichomes, but some buds are getting mold because of the humidty also when the buds are ready for harvest they are more prone to get mold.
I am just glad that outside the humidity is droping, atleast this will give me 1 or 2 days extra for flushing and harvesting.
Next time i need an airco system, 60 % humidity or more is a bitch.
ALLMOST BEGINNING OF WEEK 9, I HAD TO HARVEST PART OF THE LADIES BECAUSE OF SOME UPCOMING MOLD. THE MOLD IS GONE. Humidity is finally dropping under 60 %.
I think i lost 25/ 30 grams of endproduct, but saved a lot by harvesting part of the ladies a few days early. It is beter if i flush the rest for atleast 1 or 2 days for a better quality end-product.
All my trim and 75 % of my bud will be turned into rosin, that just makes everything easier to store and easier to get rid of. I can only smoke/ vaporize a portion of my yield, the rest is to pay for my electric bill.
Yes i am late, i did not weigh my yield but/bud it is about 200 grams i think. More important is the effect, i think the OG kush I grew is pretty good, it is very nice to smoke, no anxiety and an overall feeling of well being.
A nice high with no negative affects, this makes it allmost the best weed/ or hasj you can smoke !! It is a bit like a mixture of shiva skunk, northenlight and jack herder !
@Cannibalgardens, A shame i had to cut them down early, i was afraid this might happen. Atleast i got about 300 grams mold free buds ( 2 days drying ), and i m not even half way.
