Kushycat New journey, new luck. I’m really excited about this opportunity from @paradiseseeds to show that I’ve learned from my early mistakes and can finally bring a few plants to maturity without them looking half-dead like my first indoor growing attempts 😄 In addition to debuting this fine strain, this will also be my very first run with photoperiod plants. Paradise Seeds provided me with 3 Caramba seeds and 3 Auto Kong seeds. The Auto Kongs will most likely be used in a future run, and so the two Carambas don’t feel too lonely, I ordered some Mendo Crème myself. For a better overview, I’ll create: one grow diary featuring 2 Caramba plants and another one with 2 Mendo Crème plants. I don’t have a fixed plan yet for how long the vegetative phase will last, but I’m thinking it’ll probably be on the longer side. First, I want to see how they develop and then decide when to switch to 12/12. A big thank you to Viviana and the whole team at @paradiseseeds . I’ve polished my tent to a high shine and hope I managed to take some nice pictures. So… let the wild ride begin! 😄

Kushycat There isn't much to report yet, as you can see. The seeds took their time soaking in water before finally cracking open. Being the clumsy person I am, I naturally dropped one of the seeds—Caramba No. 1. Even though I was convinced it had fallen into the pot, I couldn't find it anywhere despite searching with a flashlight and checking multiple times. In the end, I planted the backup seed directly into the soil without soaking it first. To my surprise, it actually germinated faster than the seeds I had soaked in water. The seedlings are now in the tent, and the lamp is running at 40% power on an 18-hour schedule. Tomorrow I'll switch on the humidifier and let nature take its course. One exciting change for future grows: I'll be generating my own electricity to power them.

Kushycat Hi, I'm a little late with this update because I haven't been feeling very well lately. The little ones seem to be doing fine so far. 🌱 I've been careful with watering. I haven't weighed the pots, but I've started to get a feel for whether they're dry or can wait another day. I was wondering why they were growing so slowly. At first I thought it might be because I left them on the balcony for the first two days since the weather was nice. I figured a little sunshine wouldn't hurt at the start. ☀️ After comparing them, I realized the lamp was hanging a bit too high. It's running at 40% power and is now about 70 cm above the plants after I adjusted it. I'll probably switch on the second lamp in the next few days and lower them a little more. How low would you go at this stage? They seem much happier now, and I've definitely noticed better growth since adjusting the light. I'm taking it easy this run. This time I have the luxury of playing Mother Nature myself and deciding when the flowers start to bloom. 😄🌿

Kushycat Another week has passed 🌱 Everything is fine, but I’m dealing with a few fungus gnats ?. Only a small number, but I want to get rid of them early. I know most growers end up with them at some point, but I’d rather not let them settle in and multiply. I’ve set up yellow sticky traps ? and will add neem oil at the next watering 🌿. Growth has picked up noticeably 🌿✨, but I’m still running the light at 40% power. It’s brutally hot outside ☀️, and the tent is already sitting at around 31°C 🔥. I’ll switch on the activated carbon filter now, and if everything goes to plan, there should be a small air conditioner in the grow space by the end of the month ❄️. I topped the plants ✂️🌱, and just a day later I can already see the first tiny signs of new upward growth. They’re very vigorous 💪🌿 and gently swaying in the fan’s airflow 🌬️. I’m still watering carefully 💧, but I can tell they’re getting thirstier now—partly because of the heat ☀️ and partly because their growth has really taken off 🚀🌱

Kushycat Hi everyone! 👋🌱 Sorry for the late update, but unfortunately I've had a lot on my plate lately. On top of that, I may have a fracture in my already injured foot. 😅 Hopefully I'll know more soon. Well... I finally found some time and, more importantly, the motivation to write an update again. To be honest, the whole situation has been pretty tough on me lately, and I've been struggling a bit mentally. But hey... life goes on somehow. 💚 Oh, and it looks like the woman is gone too, so I guess I'm single again. 😂🙈 Now to the important part! 🌿 It has been extremely hot in the tent, and I still haven't bought an air conditioner. The girls handled the heat surprisingly well, but they've barely grown over the past few days. It was a constant balancing act between keeping the nighttime temperatures as low as possible and maintaining decent relative humidity. 🌡️ I managed to get rid of the fungus gnats with neem oil, although I think I was a little too generous with the dosage, which caused some minor leaf damage. 😅🍃 Luckily, it wasn't anything serious, and they're already recovering nicely from the heat stress and the neem treatment. I'll definitely keep them in the vegetative stage a little longer. More hot weather is on the way, and I'd like them to grow a bit bigger before flipping them to flower. 🌱☀️ They should move into their final 12-liter Air-Pots within the next few days. Technically, this is already Week 5, but I'm going to stick with my weekly update schedule and hopefully stay on track with a new update every seven days from now on. 🤞📅🌱 Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you're all having an amazing grow! 💚🌿

Kushycat Oh yeah, I'm late with the update again, but you guys already know how it goes... struggling every day. 😹 As you can see, it was definitely time to repot the girls. While they were still in their little pots, I had some Guerilla Juice left over from my outdoor plants, but it only helped them a little. I planted all the girls a bit deeper because I want them to get used to their new home first. Then I'll turn them into some nice little bushes before they start flowering. 🌱😄 I think they'll root in over the next few days and recover from the nutrient deficiency and everything else. Fingers crossed! 🤞💚

Kushycat Oh well, what can I say... late again. 😹 No more promises, but I'll at least try to stay on schedule this week. I've been pretty busy with my foot and my emotional rollercoaster—you know how it is, same old story. My foot isn't broken, which is good, but it still hurts, which isn't. 😅 So... back to the doctor I go. It's getting a bit boring at this point, I know. Now, back to the main topic! As you could see in my last update, I repotted the ladies, and they seem to love their new home. They've settled in nicely, and I'm really happy with how they're doing so far. I'm also excited to share that I've somehow managed to become part of the BioTabs team! A huge and heartfelt thank you to @Mia_BIOTABS for making that possible. 💚 Since the soil is fresh and already lightly pre-fertilized, I didn't add any Tabs yet—just Mycotrex and Bactrex. In the near future, I'll top-dress with some silica and add a BioTab to the soil. I figured that would be a good way to prepare them for the transition into flowering. I've also done a few rounds of topping, trimming, and a bit of plant bondage. 😹 I'm already really happy with how they're looking, but they still need a little more time to grow. I think another 3–4 weeks of veg should do the trick. 🌱

Kushycat Hello, fellow plant lovers! 🌱😄 The journey continues—no reins, no rails... just rolling with it. xD There isn't much to report at the moment. The girls have settled in really well, they're getting a little training every day, and they'll get a light trim over the next few days. Another heat wave has rolled through the country, but it's still manageable—around 28°C indoors and a little warmer inside the tent. So far, they've only been getting pH-adjusted water, and they seem perfectly happy with that. 💚

Kushycat Hi everyone, Unfortunately, I’ve been having some issues with the site and haven’t been able to post any updates—sometimes I couldn’t even access the site. I think it has something to do with the updates. In the end, clearing my browser cache helped. If anyone else is having similar problems, this might be a solution. But now, on to the actual topic, which is Weeeeed. 😁 Not much has happened. I gave her a nice trim, and I keep tying the branches down a bit. Other than that, I’ve just been watering her and feeding her with Libe. So far, I’m pretty happy with how she’s looking. Now I want her to grow a bit taller, and then flowering should start soon. She actually already has a slight scent—a very woodsy smell, like trees, kind of earthy and piney… something along those lines. I’m really excited! 🌱 Basically, I’m just waiting for it to get a little cooler outside so I can turn on the second lamp and start the flowering phase.

Kushycat Hello, fellow growers and plant lovers! It looks a little wild, but I’m wild too, and after all, it’s still a little piece of nature. 😁 The ladies got a nice Silicium Flash topping, and as you can see, they seem to love it. I’m pretty happy with how they’re doing so far. I’ll give them another trim over the next few days, and then we’ll see how it goes. Luckily, it’s not as hot outside anymore, and the rooms are cooling down a bit as well. Until next time! 🌱☀️

Normally I hit my plants with the highest ppfd I can. This time I'm going easier and I like it much more! I'm about a week ahead of you and im at like 300 ppfd. The spacing is much more to my liking. But I keep getting scared its too little. lol

@FatnastyzBudz, For now, she and her sisters are in the 1.3-liter EcoPure pots, just like in the outdoor grow described in the other post. I think they’ll stay there for about 3 to 4 weeks, and then I’ll acclimate them to 12-liter Air Pots and send them into flowering. I think then I’ll just need bloom fertilizer and the booster, and I’ll get a good result without any deficiencies or anything like that, so I won’t have to hide from Paradise Seeds 🙈😹

@Kushycat, 😂😂😂 I love transplanting, probably why I like photos so much. Ha maybe my ADHD and not being able to keep my paws off. 😹 You got this ez pz 👌

your airpots slowing the ladies down, i used them in my beginnings too. but its hard to keep the soil humid. it helps massively if you let the pots dive into a bucket once in the week until no more bubbles appear on the surface of the water. or you go into an irrigation system- then they are perfect. this is mimimi-- on a very high level , you are doing very well

Kushycat commented4d ago
@Mia_BIOTABS, Yes, I agree with you, they dry out on the sides faster than you can say "dust cloud." 😹 I've already thought about it, but at 30 degrees in the tent, it was just impossible to do anything there except water quickly. I'll see if I can manage it in the coming days, and I'm curious to see how it behaves then. It might sound a bit crazy now, but I've been thinking about a pot, something similar to Air Pots, but modular. Sounds weird, but that's how it is. 😂 Let's see if I can make something out of it, but so far it's just an idea.

@Kushycat, there are irrigation systems that fit for airpots and giving them a pot underneath is a big adavnatage. @kohlrabi , buit her own irrigation system
