Just_Rabbit Sonnst was neues … the rabbit is now building the underground … I’m trying my hand at hydro … always intended to do it but never got around to finishing it … I will be using 3 Nutriculture pots 20l .. and 2 Aquaforte v10 pumps with fan rings … both pumps will supply all 3 plants so that if one fails, there’s still movement in every pot …
Everything is a bit of new territory but I’ll see what works … the goal is actually to completely switch to RDWC if I can manage it … I’m pretty confident with soil and coco … living soil also interests me .. because of the terps … but I’m slowly losing interest in mixing in soil :) and hydro is more precise work that I’m really looking forward to ..
Thanks to anyone who has read this far .. thanks for the support :)
I packed the seedlings in washed and then 16 hours soaked stone wool insulation .. I’ve always wanted to see if this works xD oh it’s going to be wild in the report
After 2 days they were right there and got planted :)
A big thank you to my collab partner Paradise Seeds for bringing me on the team 💚?

Just_Rabbit So they actually got off to a good start in the construction insulation... I probably should have left the little bit of soil on top to close the hole... that little bit of biomass quickly added to the wool...
Now they have arrived in the net basket... they are still sitting in a bowl under a 30-watt lamp to acclimate... so not even in the big DWC pot yet... I'm trying to track the consumption/evaporation a bit based on weight.
All 3 baskets are at a bone-dry weight of 400g and a wet weight after 24 hours of soaking at exactly 600g...
Let's see how it goes :)

Just_Rabbit It's progressing :) and I'm more than excited .. the plants are still alive … my first DWC attempt seems to be paying off so far …. After 10 days, I did a water change … the temperatures are quite something right now … everything is on the edge but okay …
I also topped them today, just no pictures of that at the moment.

Just_Rabbit So far, the attempt looks pretty good.. the roots are slowly getting a bit darker.. but today was the second change with just tap water and Advanced Basic, no Purolyt or anything..
Just_Rabbit I'm finishing my first DWC project.. it seems to be working so far.. but due to vacation, they unfortunately got a bit messed up.. there should have been more frequent water changes during that time… the roots look dark and nasty.. that's why I'm hesitant to add more nutrients…
When the next and probably last soil round is over, the hydro thing will kick back in… until then, I will switch to RDWC.. dealing with the individual pots is more than annoying..
See ya next…. in RDWC :)
