DogDoctorOfficial # GodFather OG by Zamnesia | Pheno A 🌱👔 ## Germination Week | An Offer a Seed Can't Refuse Hello GrowDiaries family! 👋🌱 Every grow begins with a seed. But some seeds arrive carrying a little more reputation than others. And when the name on the package says GodFather OG, well... expectations naturally enter the room before the plant even emerges from the soil. 😄 Before we begin, a small explanation. With the current GrowDiaries photo limitations, I've decided to document each phenotype in its own dedicated diary. Instead of grouping multiple plants together, every phenotype now receives its own space from seed to harvest. This allows me to continue documenting every stage of development as thoroughly as possible while selecting the best photographs from each week. The objective remains exactly the same as always: To create an honest, educational, and complete record of the grow from seed to harvest while sharing observations, successes, mistakes, and lessons learned along the way. Today, we begin following GodFather OG Pheno A. --- ## A New Member Joins the Family Every seed carries potential. Every cultivar carries history. And every grow starts with curiosity. For this run, we're following GodFather OG from Zamnesia Seeds, cultivated under a 12/12 from seed schedule from the very first day of life. A method that is a little different from what most growers choose, but one that has become part of my own cultivation style over time. Throughout this diary, I'll explain not only what I'm doing, but also why I'm doing it, allowing anyone interested to follow the process from beginning to end. For now, our newest family member has officially arrived. And like any good family, we'll give her the best start we can. 😄 --- ## Germination Using the Cannakan System For germination we used the Cannakan system. Simple. Organized. Reliable. A bit like having a good consigliere keeping track of everyone's business. 😄 The container is divided into separate chambers, allowing multiple cultivars to be germinated simultaneously while remaining properly labeled and organized. Each seed was placed inside using only plain water. No nutrients. No additives. No stimulants. Just water. Within approximately 24 hours healthy taproots had already emerged and the seeds were ready for the next stage. Fast. Clean. Efficient. Exactly the way we like to start a new operation. --- ## Why Only Water? One question that often comes up during germination is: "Why not feed the seedlings immediately?" The answer is simple. The seed already contains everything required for its first stage of development. Nature already handled the negotiations before we arrived. Inside that tiny shell are the energy reserves needed to establish roots and begin life. At this stage, I prefer allowing the seed to do exactly what it was designed to do. Water is enough. The objective is not to feed the plant. The objective is simply to wake it up. --- ## First Experience With Coco Starter Plugs This run also marks my first experience using coco starter plugs. The plugs were fully saturated with water and then gently squeezed to remove excess moisture while maintaining a healthy balance between water retention and oxygen availability. The germinated seeds were carefully inserted into the plugs and placed inside a humidity dome. The dome remained useful for only a short period. Within less than 24 hours the seedlings had already emerged and were ready to continue their journey. At that point, they were transplanted into small containers filled with Plagron Lightmix. --- ## Environment Environmental conditions remained intentionally simple. Temperatures around 26–27°C. Humidity maintained between approximately 65–70% using a Spider Farmer humidifier. Rather than keeping seedlings inside extremely humid conditions for extended periods, I prefer introducing them relatively early to the environment they will actually experience during growth. The goal is adaptation. Not dependence. Airflow remains extremely gentle at this stage. Just enough movement to keep fresh air circulating without creating unnecessary stress. --- ## Looking Ahead So far everything is progressing exactly as hoped. Fast germination. Healthy taproots. Strong emergence. Healthy color. Good vigor. And most importantly: A strong beginning. At this stage every phenotype remains a mystery waiting to reveal itself. And honestly, that's one of the most exciting parts of growing. No matter how many seeds we start, every new plant arrives carrying a story we haven't read yet. This is only the first chapter. And for GodFather OG Pheno A... the family business is officially underway. 🌱😄 Huge thanks to Zamnesia Seeds for the genetics, Plagron for the substrate and nutrition, Future Of Grow for the lighting, and everyone joining us for another seed-to-harvest adventure. Grower's Love everyone. 🌱💚

DogDoctorOfficial Godfather OG by Zamnesia | Pheno A 👑🌱 Vegetative Week 1 | Small Plant, Big Presence Hello GrowDiaries family! 👋🌱 Welcome back to another week of this 12/12 From Seed adventure. Today we turn our attention to Godfather OG Pheno A, a young plant that may still be in her first week of life but is already showing plenty of personality. Like the rest of the garden, she began her journey following the same methodology used throughout this project: direct transplantation into her final container, gentle early feeding, and immediate adaptation to a flowering light schedule under our 12/12 From Seed approach. While every plant receives identical treatment, genetics always find their own way of expressing themselves—and Godfather OG Pheno A is already beginning to reveal her character. ⸻ A Permanent Home From Day One Following germination, Godfather OG Pheno A was transplanted directly into her final container filled with Plagron Lightmix. Because this entire project is being conducted under a 12/12 From Seed methodology, we prefer avoiding additional transplants later in life whenever possible. This allows the root system to establish itself immediately within its final environment and removes the possibility of future transplant stress during critical developmental stages. The objective remains simple: 🌱 Healthy root development 🌱 Consistent growth 🌱 Minimal interruptions 🌱 Maximum genetic expression So far, she appears to be settling in beautifully. ⸻ Early Nutrition Strategy The first watering consisted only of pH-adjusted water, allowing the seedling to establish naturally during her first days above ground. By Day 4, we introduced a very gentle feeding program consisting of: 🌱 Terra Grow 🌱 Pure Zym 🌱 Power Roots 🌱 Sugar Royal At this stage, the goal is not aggressive growth. Instead, we focus on creating a healthy foundation by encouraging root expansion, microbial activity, and steady development while avoiding unnecessary stress. A strong beginning often creates a strong finish. ⸻ Environmental Conditions Conditions remained stable throughout the week: 🌡️ Day Temperature: 27°C 🌙 Night Temperature: 25°C 💧 Relative Humidity: 55% 🌱 Solution Temperature: 21°C 🌱 Substrate Temperature: 21°C 🌿 CO₂: Approximately 600 ppm Lighting remained around 350 PPFD under a 12/12 light schedule. Although 350 PPFD may seem relatively high for seedlings, the shorter daily photoperiod means total daily light exposure remains moderate when compared with traditional 18/6 vegetative schedules. This allows the young plants to adapt early to stronger light intensities while maintaining an appropriate Daily Light Integral (DLI). ⸻ A Compact But Determined Start One thing that immediately stood out throughout the week was how compact and sturdy this phenotype appeared. From the first sets of leaves onward, Godfather OG Pheno A displayed a very squat structure with tight node spacing and a sturdy stem. She may not have been the tallest seedling in the room, but she never looked weak. Quite the opposite. Everything about her early growth suggests a plant that is investing heavily in structure before chasing vertical growth. For an OG lineage, that is often a very welcome sight. ⸻ The Little Freak Factor Of course, no phenotype hunt would be complete without a little bit of weirdness. During the week, Pheno A displayed some slightly unusual early leaf development. Nothing concerning. Nothing unhealthy. Just enough variation to remind us that every seed carries its own unique blueprint. The leaf shape and growth pattern showed a bit of that quirky character we often encounter when growing from seed. And honestly, those are usually the plants that end up being the most interesting later in life. ⸻ Finishing Week One Strong By the end of the week, the plant had already begun producing nicely formed three-finger leaves and showed clear signs of healthy progression. The newer growth appears increasingly structured and symmetrical, while the overall color remains vibrant and healthy. Root establishment appears successful. Growth remains steady. And most importantly, she looks comfortable in her environment. At this stage, there is very little to complain about. Only good signs and growing potential. ⸻ Looking Ahead Week 2 should begin revealing much more about this phenotype. Will she remain compact and stocky? Will she suddenly stretch? Will those early quirky leaf characteristics disappear completely? For now, all signs point toward a healthy and promising start. And as always, patience is the grower’s greatest tool. ⸻ Thank You A huge thank you to Zamnesia for providing the Godfather OG genetics featured in this run. Thank you to Plagron for supplying the nutrients and substrate supporting the garden. And thank you to Future of Grow, and everyone following along with these diaries. Your support makes these detailed seed-to-harvest journals possible. As always, thank you for stopping by. Until next week… Grower’s Love everyone. 🌱💚👑 “Every giant starts as a seed. Some just look a little funny on the way there.” 😄🌱🔥
