MindFlowers68 Getting some summer auto flowers going now that my indoor auto flowers are about ready. This is my second year trying outdoor. Just gonna try this single auto flower around outside for now, so I don't spread myself too thin trying to take care of too many plants like last year. I'm using the same 30 gallon pots. They were sitting in my greenhouse over winter. I took the brew grounds from one of my compost teas and worked it into the top few inches of soil, And watered in with leftover compost tea about a month ago. A few days before sowing the seeds, I pulled the pots up on the deck and amend them with what you see in the picture along with Gaia green 4-4-4. Did 2 cups of the all purpose,1 cup of neem meal, and a handful Diatomaceous earth. Then just sprinkles of the other stuff.
It was very hot with no rain in full sun all week to the path straight up pretty quick. I had to water every day, but a few days after they germinated, we got a quick rainfall. Seedlings were met with very intense light from the very beginning and dealing with it very well.
I was worried for this little seed for a day or so because for some reason, these little tiny ants looked like they were eating the cotyledon leaves. She looked rough for a few days, but she bounced back and is on track. I'm just glad I'm not gonna be another week behind on another seed with another round like I was with my indoor right now.
