Kevs_Best 🇩🇪 Kevs_Best – Blütewoche 5 | Last Dance: Crimson Clay Cut (Clone Run)
• dieselbe geschwollene, gestackte Calyx-Entwicklung

🇬🇧 Kevs_Best – Flower Week 5 | Last Dance: Crimson Clay Cut (Clone Run)
Flower day 37 marks the completion of week five, and this run is already confirming exactly what I was hoping for.
This is the very first true clone run of the Last Dance: Crimson Clay Cut, and the clone is already expressing almost identical characteristics to the original mother plant.
Genetic Stability
At this stage it is already clear:
• nearly identical calyx structure to the mother plant
• the same swollen, stacked calyx formation
• identical trichome development across buds and sugar leaves
• uniform and highly consistent plant structure
The clone is reproducing the defining characteristics of the mother with remarkable consistency.
→ same calyx architecture
→ same resin development
→ same overall morphology
Resin Development
Resin production continues to increase every single day.
Trichomes are aggressively spreading across nearly every surface, with frost development following almost exactly the same pattern as the original seed run.
Terpene Development
The terpene profile is developing almost identically to the mother plant.
The characteristic notes are already returning:
→ fruity sweetness
→ deep forest aromas
→ rich gassy undertones
Each day the profile becomes louder, more layered and more complex, once again confirming the unique identity of this cut.
Flower Development
With stretch completely finished, all available energy is now directed toward:
→ further calyx stacking
→ increased flower density
→ maximum resin production
→ expanding terpene complexity
Bud sites continue developing evenly across the entire plant while maintaining excellent structural uniformity.
Overall Impression – Flower Week 5
The first clone run is developing exactly as expected from a true keeper phenotype.
Already by week five, the clone is showing:
• identical flower structure
• identical trichome development
• nearly identical terpene progression
• exceptionally stable genetic expression
So far, the Crimson Clay Cut is proving that the unique characteristics of the mother plant can be reliably reproduced in clone form.

Kevs_Best Kevs_Best – Final Flower Week 8 | Last Dance: Crimson Clay Cut (Clone Run)
Flower week eight is complete, and the Crimson Clay Cut has once again finished almost exactly as expected.
During the final week, the plant went through its characteristic late-stage transformation. The fade intensified rapidly across the entire canopy, shifting from deep green into purple, crimson and almost black tones.
This late fade has now appeared consistently across multiple runs and is becoming one of the defining visual traits of this phenotype.
Final Fade and Color Expression
Over the last few days, the coloration changed dramatically:
• deep purple and crimson tones spreading across the leaves
• increasingly dark, almost black foliage around the flowers
• strong contrast between the dark plant tissue and bright resin coverage
• identical late-week fade timing compared with the previous runs
The Crimson Clay Cut once again showed that its strongest color expression develops very late, primarily during the final week.
→ same late fade
→ same dark finish
→ same distinctive Crimson Clay appearance
Flower and Calyx Development
The flowers completed their final swelling phase with the same characteristic structure seen on the mother plant.
• heavily swollen and rounded calyxes
• dense, stacked flower formation
• consistent development across upper and lower bud sites
• strong structural similarity to the original phenotype
The distinctive calyx architecture has been reproduced almost perfectly in clone form.
Resin Production
Resin production continued until the very end.
The calyxes, sugar leaves and even the smaller flower-adjacent leaves are covered in a dense layer of mature trichomes.
• extremely heavy trichome coverage
• resin extending far across the sugar leaves
• full and well-developed trichome heads
• strong frost expression across nearly every flower surface
This run once again confirms the exceptionally high resin potential of the cut.
Terpene Development
The terpene profile has also returned strongly toward the familiar Crimson Clay direction.
The final expression is becoming increasingly layered, with the characteristic combination of:
→ sweet fruit and dark berry notes
→ Zangria and red-wine tones in the base profile
→ clay and glue-like funk
→ deep forest and pine characteristics
→ pungent dark gas
→ subtle menthol and slightly cheesy undertones
During the final days, the profile became noticeably louder, darker and more complex.
The combination of sweet red wine, dark fruit, funky clay, forest pine and heavy gas once again gives this phenotype its unmistakable identity.
Clone Stability
By the end of week eight, the clone has reproduced nearly every important characteristic of the original mother plant:
• identical flower structure
• identical swollen calyx formation
• highly consistent resin production
• the same late crimson and black fade
• the same terpene direction
• the same approximate eight-week flowering time
The consistency across the complete flowering cycle strongly supports the stability of this selection.
Overall Impression – Final Flower Week 8
The first true clone run has finished exceptionally well.
The Crimson Clay Cut once again delivered:
• strong late-stage color expression
• dense and highly resinous flowers
• distinctive stacked calyx structure
• complex and recognizable terpene development
• stable reproduction of the original phenotype
The next step will be drying, curing and another laboratory analysis.
I am especially interested to see whether the terpene profile can reproduce or possibly exceed the previous result of 2.53% total terpenes.
Final flower week complete.
The Crimson Clay Cut has once again finished with the structure, resin, color and terpene identity expected from a true keeper phenotype.
