After the strong upward trend of the previous week, the genetics hopefully made optimal use of the time to further develop the foliage and gain mass. How well the lady actually survived the vacation phase and what the current condition is will be revealed at first glance upon return. Fingers crossed that the green thumb was successfully passed on!

After a good initial dose of fresh water, the plant was right back in action and showed a strong, healthy profile. Since the structure now provided the perfect base, no time was wasted: Just one day after returning, the lady was topped to break the apical dominance and massively promote the growth of the side shoots. At the same time, a clean Low-Stress Training (LST) was started by precisely securing the lower shoots downwards with sturdy stakes. The Humboldt genetics reacted excellently to the intervention: Just two days later, the bush had completely recovered from the topping stress. The new main shoots are pushing forward vigorously, nutrient uptake is running perfectly, and the growth pattern is shaping up just as desired.

The foliage is bursting with health: The deep green, fan-like leaves are perfectly juicy, showing no deficiencies and capturing light optimally. The internodal density is ideal to ensure perfect light penetration for the upcoming phases. The lady is bursting with strength and has thus mastered the vegetative phase brilliantly – the foundation for a fat bloom is set!

Meanwhile, the first clear signs of pre-flowers are forming at the tips of the shoots – the characteristic "withering" of the tips is now giving way to the first fine, light green hair clusters. The foliage shows a lush, healthy profile and is making optimal use of the light area. The nutrient uptake in the large fabric pot is running smoothly, and the lady is bursting with energy for the upcoming real bud formation!

To direct the plant's energy specifically to the upper levels, a thorough lollipopping was carried out. The lower part was rigorously cleaned up: all shady shoots, popcorn bud sites, and unnecessary foliage in the lower third were completely removed. This lady is now standing on extremely clean, bare legs. Remarkable is her enormous height development: although she lagged significantly behind her contemporaries in the early phase, she has now completely made up for the deficit and has caught up massively. Skipping the second topping acted as a real catalyst here. The shoots are stretching extremely eagerly towards the lamp, which is why the light source had to be adjusted to its limit and raised quite high. It's about time the vertical growth starts to stagnate so the tent doesn't get blown up – currently, the height is still absolutely in the green zone. The hard cut in the underbrush massively improves air circulation in the lower area and eliminates the risk of stagnant moisture. The focus is now 100% on the powerful main shoots, which are optimally supplied with nutrients without the competition from the lower shoots. The first distinct flower clusters are already forming at the exposed tips. Thin at the bottom, hopefully soon rock-hard and thick at the top – the conditions for fat headbuds are set!

Although in the end relatively few, selected main stems have remained, the Jelly Donutz is perfectly channeling all its energy into the remaining tops. The flower sites are noticeably increasing in density and swelling evenly. What immediately catches the eye, however, is the enormous frost coverage: The trichome production is running at absolute full throttle, so much so that even the sugar leaves are already covered with a thick, sticky layer of resin. The thread-like stigmas are standing vibrant and bushy in the light, while the headbud focus is fully developing. Despite the harsh cut, the Humboldt genetics show no signs of stress, but instead transform the exposed structure into pure quality. If the swelling continues at this pace, we are in for some seriously dense and frosty colas!

The buds are steadily developing, but what the Jelly Donutz is delivering right now is primarily a true terpene explosion in the tent. The scent is absolutely strain-typical and hits the nose extremely intensely: A perfect mix of sweet, doughy pastry, covered with a sticky, fruity jam note and a slightly gassy undertone – as if you were smelling a fresh Jelly Donut. Visually, the Humboldt strain also pulls out all the stops: Even though the buds aren't the thickest oscillators, they and the surrounding sugar leaves are completely covered in dense, milky trichomes and look like they've been sprinkled with fine powdered sugar. The remaining main stems effortlessly carry the buds and focus entirely on maximum resin quality instead of pure mass. Visually and aromatically an absolute delight!
