Weedwatcher Glass of water to paper towel. To substrate. Soil came waterlogged, dried it to damp and light , still formed Algae which was visible from the drainage holes. Light was at 25% power at 22 inches from soil.

Weedwatcher Fan was on speed 1 aimed away from the pot at the wall of the tent , started of spraying, Minimal water, about 2-4 oz , 3-4 oz of water slowly increasing amount week by week I can’t remember for sure. When the 2nd pair of little tiny leaves started to appear and push out and begin opening up the light intensity was increased to 30% to stop stretch and push photosynthesis. The 1st single blade leaves came out snubbed without tips at the end and I believe it could be from light/dry/heat stress during sprout, idk. There was more mutations to come.

Weedwatcher I think around week I had aimed the fan on speed 1 and over the pot between the pot and the light to buffer heat , above the seedling and not into it. is still fixed at 22 inches from soil seedling is growing. Still small amounts of water below or around 1/4 of a regular cheap water bottle.

Weedwatcher Water was gradually increased so in week 3 probably around 4-6 oz every other day . And when that node started to stretch out further than the ones before I had increased the fan speed to speed 2, it was still aimed between the canopy and the light and not into the plant. And I think that sometime in week 3 before topping that I increased the light intensity again to 35%. Then on day 21 the last day of week 3 it was topped above the 5th node, which was technically the 6th node but the very 1st tiny node from the beginning got swallowed up when the stem thickened. I’m not sure if I had raised the light with rope ratchets yet but I do know that on the day of topping it was at 35% and I reset the light to about 20-22 inches from the new top shoots to avoid stress after topping. At this point my accurate on the tent floor had shown 78-80 degrees from the beginning and fluctuated between 76 -80 the whole entire grow and would drop to 74-76 while the door was open.

Weedwatcher im not going to remember the amount of water at this point, obviously gradually increasing to around 6 -8 oz around half a water botttle atleast I think. And around this time I think I may have introduced big bloom at about .5 - .75 tsp per Liter atleast once in week 4 after topping. I’m pretty sure that by the last day of week 4 that I had tied down the new mains all of them with soft ties and it was beginning to look like bloom shoots forming, but it was at this time that everything began to fall apart. There should have been white pistil hairs multiplying and looking like clusters but there wasn’t, I searched very hard very close to only find the hint of just one and it looked to be like it was stunted and not even a full grown or full white hair at that… at this point I was confused on how much to water and how many times and had watered to a drop of runoff atleast , and at some point tried giving it a small “dip” bottom water assist and then back on to the riser. I also tried just a drop of grow big with the big bloom at some point around this time give or take and the idea was just a boost so it would not stall. It was also some time around towards the end of week 4 around 4-6 days after topping that I increased the light intensity to 40% because it was growing again. So if you are confused at this point I was probably starting to be confused myself and really trying but letting it grow and trying to do the best with what I know and what I saw.

Weedwatcher Had been keeping the light at 18 inches from the canopy at this point and through week 4 i think, using .5 tsp big bloom every other water, and that one time with the 3 little drops of grow big was the only time with that… I had used half ocean forest soil. There was still no white hairs multiplying which was bothering me especially when seeing alternating nodes too, I had t used tiger bloom yet. I don’t know if I should have kept using grow big or not … my biggest fear and problem is my vertical space and how far I can potentially raise my light in the 6 ft tent even with the rope ratchets. Maybe at this point it was stalled and I should have tried big bloom/grow big/tiger bloom, but I was trying to use the nitrogen in the soil and I didn’t start tiger bloom because there was no obvious white hairs and absolutely not any bud clusters yet but it was showing structural signs. You can see that I tried giving it a “dip” bottom water assist but then put it back on the riser. And here’s another thing - * not once in the entire grow did the pot ever feel heavy or waterlogged, it never felt heavy when I lifted the pot not even once, even right after watering, even after a bottom assist* , so I didn’t know what to do, everything I’ve read about Autos says not to get the bottom roots wet or leave them in water and that they don’t like wet feet, I was even using a riser for that purpose. So I’m not sure if I should have watered twice a day or every single day either because the pot was light as a feather every single day of the grow every single time.

Weedwatcher So it was at this point continuing from the last week and everything I’ve already explained, and there was still no real visible, white pistol hairs, and absolutely no clusters, but it was showing structural flowering hence and alternating nodes and stretch, but still not actually flowering, and at this point, it was beginning to cannibalize itself and showing spots on all the leaves from top to bottom, and from some kind of guidance and inclination, I was inclined to let it go another day below 18 inches all the way to 17 inches and it literally burned the very tops and the new growth where the white hair should’ve been and it literally burned the tips of the calyx’s, and the one white hair that could be seen even a whole white hair it looked like a stunted 1/4 of a white hair, so there was that and at this point, I decided I should try Tiger bloom, at this point the day before, or after that that the leaves were all drooping and I couldn’t say for sure why it wasn’t because of lack of water or was it because I was still watering every other day and I tried water in two days in a row, and still never once was the pot heavy even after watering, so with the new burnt growth and burnt Calyx’s and the light reset to 18 inches and the leaves drooping, I decided to give it tiger bloom with big bloom for the first time, and that actually made the leaves perk back up. But at this point, I knew that I was way past just being installed and stunted. I know that it should absolutely have already been in the bulking phase or starting the bulking phase at this point with flower testers everywhere, and tons of white hairs., and that was just nowhere near the case. And I was confused. All I know is what I’ve read about auto flowers and I’ve read everything about auto flowers and the videos that I’ve watched and the other diaries that I’ve seen. And I do believe that time is precious. And that sometimes it’s just not worth it. Especially when it’s quality that I’m after and looking for.

Weedwatcher So it was at this point that I realized I’ve now reached my furthest point yet believe it or not this ugly burnt absolute failure at day 46 was the best size structure that I’ve ever had and then the biggest pot that I’ve used to date, but considering the day and what it looked like compared to what it didn’t look like, and the fact that it hadn’t even started flowering yet, and the branches looked hollow and Woody; although tiger bloom did park the leaves back up and I think that immediately after tiger bloom for the first time, the pistol hairs actually started to show up but far too late. If I could go back, I’m not so sure that raising the light intensity to 40% was the best option, and I would have to at least consider the question that maybe I should’ve been watering every single day , and that I might have should have used grow big and continued that around week four, and I should consider the possibility that I should’ve used big bloom much earlier, and big bloom/grow big/tiger bloom around week four… my goal in my challenge is to finish the auto flower with a maximum height of 28 inches maximum. This one failed and was chopped around 18 inches tall in a 3 gallon with happy frog and ocean forest 50-50.
