I started this lady partway through my 24 carat grow as my third and final bean for that strain didnt pop and I had a slot in the tent to fill. I had an unopened three pack of NCH that had an extra freebie so I decided to give it go!
Not much to say this week. She's off to a good start; hitting her with a half gallon of low EC water each day to get things going.
Week 2 went great with this lady. This strain is a dream to grow so far. Low maintenance and not too picky about nutrient solution so far. She seems to exhibit more indica traits than I would have expected for such a heavily sativa dominant strain but I'm not complaining. She looks great and seems to be enjoying life so far.
Everything still looks good. She is the only girl left in the tent after harvest of the two 24 carat ladies. She's got about 3 weeks left at this point.
Well.. this was the first time in any of my grows where I ran into a serious problem with pests. Somehow these little fuckers made it up a flight of stairs and into my tent. I have to wonder if they got started back in week 3 when I took her and the others out to sun for a bit. That said, I never saw a single aphid on the other two plants she shared the tent with and it seems rather late for them to make an appearance if they got in at that time. That said, luckily they only seem to be affecting buds on one or two stems. I've removed those in hopes I can get things in check.
Seriously, fuck aphids.
Great medicine. Very uplifting daytime smoke great for use throughout the day. Taste very much like its name might imply; a floral earthiness with a heavy cheese like overtone when smelling it in the jar. This one benefits from an extended cure.
She was a breeze to grow and the only complaint I had is that she seemed to be all too tasty for the aphids I somehow managed to pick up toward the end. She was easy to train and kept a short stature in spite of her haze genetics. I may run her again in the future to see if I can do better. 2 ounces of potent meds is pretty respectable for this auto.
Apologies for the late updates and so much missing data for this grow. I had some life shit crop up midway and didnt get as many photos or metrics as I normally would have liked. I'll make up for it next time.
@PersianGreenthumb, with autoflowers my experience has been that LST is a less risky approach that provides similar benefits. I do my best to LST my way to a level canopy with the short vegetative period afforded by most autoflowering strains. That said, I will definitely be topping and working toward a nice manifold on the next photoperiod run I do! Thanks for your interest!
