Bruce Banner Auto

-=-=-The Strain=-=-=- Bruce Banner Auto from Sweet Seeds is a 7th Generation autoflowering cross between an elite Bruce Banner clone and Gorilla Girl XL Auto. Genetics sit at roughly 58.7% Sativa / 41.1% Indica / 0.2% Ruderalis, with THC somewhere around 18–25%. The aroma is supposed to be sweet and fruity with floral notes, Diesel in the background and some earthy tones underneath. Basically old-school Bruce Banner genetics stuffed into an automatic. Works for me. -=-=-The Grow=-=-=- This was supposed to be a normal automatic grow. And honestly, apart from the fact that it apparently forgot the part about being fast, that is exactly what it was. The seed popped after roughly 48 hours and the first couple of weeks were just water. Feeding started around week 3 and she immediately started throwing out big healthy leaves. Around week 4 I started shaping her. Topping, LST and pinning everything down because I wanted her spreading sideways instead of trying to become a Christmas tree. By week 7 the first flowers finally showed up. Sweet Seeds says around 9 weeks from germination. Mine apparently did not read the brochure. Barcelona summer also decided to join the grow and temperatures were sitting around 30–31°C for part of flowering. Then she developed a magnesium issue, so she got a couple of rounds of CalMag until everything stabilized. Problem solved. After that she basically went back onto autopilot. She stretched to around 110 cm, stopped growing vertically and started concentrating on getting fat. I gave her a good defoliation, removed most of the unnecessary sugar leaves and then spent the rest of the grow mostly waiting. And waiting. And waiting some more. I travelled a few times during this run, so the automatic watering system earned its salary again. Every time I came back she was still standing there looking perfectly happy. Toward the end the buds were thick, the trichomes were going milky and every week I kept saying "one more week". Then another one. By week 16 I checked the trichomes and they still weren't where I wanted them, so fuck it, she got another week. Finally on 30 August, week 17, she came down. Nothing particularly dramatic happened during this grow. One magnesium issue, stupid Barcelona heat, a lot of travelling and an automatic that took its sweet fucking time. Otherwise she just grew. Sometimes boring is good. -=-=-The Smoke=-=-=- This one is basically what I would call a daily driver. The smell and taste are very Bruce Banner. Sweet fruit up front, a little floral background, then Diesel and earth coming through underneath. It is not the candy explosion I remember from the Mimosa Bruce Banner. This feels more straightforward and more old-school. In a pure joint the smoke is smooth, sweet and slightly fruity at first, with the Diesel and earthy part becoming more obvious as you go through the joint. The high is strong enough that you know you smoked something, but it doesn't completely fuck up the rest of the day. And that is exactly why I like it. I can smoke this and still do things. Music, gaming, working on random shit, walking around the house pretending I'm being productive — whatever. Nothing life-changing here. Just reliable, strong, enjoyable weed that I can reach for without needing to cancel the rest of my plans. Daily driver. That is basically the review.
