Zone of the Grow

Wildpuff Plants both lived in a south facing, but partially shaded at times, conservatory first 3 weeks veg state. No heat mats. Put outside all day on warmer days for full spectrum rays from the real sun ☀️ I normally grow tent for entire grow. As a gardener and grower of veg, I love plants and don't overstress about growing. This is my 3rd grow after a couple of years break. First time giving a photoperiod a go, Medical Mass. Northern Lights is a retro throwback from my youth, seeds failed to germinate last time I tried. Pretty excited.

Wildpuff Still in South facing conservatory and sunny days outside at 8 weeks. NL Auto started flowering around 7 weeks. Medical Mass in veg state at 8 weeks. No heat mats. Put outside all day on warmer days for full spectrum rays from the real sun ☀️

Wildpuff Finally stimulated flowering for Medical Mass by shortening light regime from 16/8 to 12/12 with all vents double closed at night/lights off. Topped it late around 8 weeks when still in veg mode. Next time I'll try a training method. Northern Lights Auto could have done with a full life in the tent. Too many cloudy days before tent has meant smaller buds but still happy with output so far and still some more fattening to go this week. Close to harvest, 70% milky trichomes, no amber, rusty pistols increasing. Daily inspections from hereon. Watering 1L with feed every 2-3days. Lights on maximum throughout, including far red light. Minimal fuss grow. One thrip found, now deceased. No signs of other bugs.

Wildpuff DIY and a heatwave kept me from updating progress on Northern Lights. At the first sign of amber trichomes I cut the plant and hung upside down for 4/5 days in a dark corner of my loft. Light airflow. Now curing in glass jars. Tested. It's a super smoke, but yield was fairly low, as expected due to cloudy month after transplant. Medical Mass is truly a joy to grow. Photoperiod yield is nuts! I'm feeding Biobizz Bloom daily whilst the buds are fattening. I don't have a fan, I just use my loft windows for through air, open vents in tent, unzip the door a third on one side all day. Working a treat. Excited to update on this one.
