All seeds except for The Church sprouted. Using rapid rooters soaked in 230 ppm well water with no added nutrients. Moved into starter pots filled with straight sunshine mix #4, then put in a 2x2' tent with 100W T5 4-bulb fixture 12" above the top leafs, inside of a humidity dome. I chose 4 plants as I hope to fill out the tent with an extended veg time using 4-way LST and SCRoG. It's my first time using SCRoG or LST, I've only ever topped before in the past.
The main and most important goal of this grow is to defeat lockouts, I am using this medium and nutrients based on advice given to me by a grower who has well water also. I had used bottled nutrients exclusively in the past, other than organic growing, but I have always enjoyed the explosive growth you get from hydroponics and soil-less mediums. Anyway, I am always looking to improve my grow and find the cheapest way to do it with the least amount of problems. If everything goes as I've been told, this should replace my current medium and fertilizers.
@smoking_hills9, thanks for the compliment! 🙏 and you are 100% right, I nearly cut it all out and replaced it with rope but figured I'd give it a shot. Once this harvest is complete I am going to use some self tapping screws then string it with a small rope for the next harvest.
I've grown Dutch passion orange families seeds.
-4 weeks Veg 8 week flower
-F.I.Med (not topped) only once
-defoliated 3 times
-315 watt C.M.H
-5 gall pots
-watered every 3 days
and pulled 4 ounces per plant dry.
Your buds look nice but if your looking to pull more dry weight in a MUCH shorter grow time keep it simple. Ignore the mainlining and topping and screen and all that BS. Just grow 4 plants in the same space.
Get a bigger light. 315 watt cmh or a couple cob led bars at 240 watt a peice.
I dont use a screen and my plants support the buds weight. The FIM keeps the plant even height.
Just my two cents. Good luck and the bud does look great good job.
