dvr147 put two seeds into a glass of distilled water yesterday, last night poured out onto a paper towel and folded over. Placed the paper towel in a plastic bag (vented) and placed on a dinner plate which went onto a warming mat. Today by 5pm the tap root had sprouted on one of the seeds so I consider that the strongest seed and disposed of the other. I only have room for one plant. After that, I mixed up a gallon of dechlorinated water, added 1ml of cal-mag to help buffer the coco and seed. I ph'd the water to 5.8 after recalibrating the meters. My PPM was around 300 as expected...and EC of around .6. Should be safe for a strong seed. day 3 - mixed up first gallon of nutrient solution. Will feed by hand early evening. should see some decent growth during the next 10 days. color of leaves looks perfect. Nice dark green.

dvr147 This is my first time growing photos so it seems to be going slower than what I'm used to. That said, I've been hand feeding for the last 3.5 weeks and just turned on the AutoPots. This should increase nutrient flow and my expectation is that this plant will take off now. I'm very close to my 4th node and I intend to top the plant and start stretching it out to make a wide base. I'd like to stretch it out to 2/3 of the width and depth of the tent before I switch them to flower. I think this may take a month or two so I'm going to be patient with this part. I dont want to let them go into flower until I have the plant where I want it. Hopefully this goes well but I'll be reporting out here from time to time on how its going. I'm only going to be using General Hydroponics nutrients on this grow and will be restricting the grow to CalMag, Fora Micro, Flora Grow and Flora Bloom. Since this whole setup is basically new (new light, new autopot, new AI controller) I want to keep things to a minimum and see what the yields are. I have high hopes for the autopots and hope that this method will be better than when I tried in soil.
