This was a good warm week, finally the kind of weather where the road stops looking offended and starts behaving like asphalt again.
The extra light stayed on her like casino surveillance — bright, suspicious, impossible to argue with. But photons are not magic. More light does not automatically mean more size, more stretch, or some sudden growth miracle under pressure.
“Is the light working?”
“It’s working.”
“Then why isn’t she exploding?”
“Because this isn’t a drag race. It’s a long haul.”
She had caught up a little before, but this week the obvious gain was small. Still, the setup stayed in motion, and Bat Country hates wasted cargo.

A few earth hooks went onto the side branches, although calling them earth hooks became legally questionable once they started working above the floor. Air hooks, then. Promoted by necessity.

The dune buggies had stopped sliding sideways for long enough that the pit crew could walk the course and pretend to understand what had happened. Lacerda came back with a camera full of blur and a face that suggested victory, fraud, or both.
The plant kept her place in the race. No big rebuild this time, just very light targeted lollipopping and defoliation — small pit work, quick hands, removing only what looked like it had wandered into the wrong department. Somewhere near the press tent, a reptile in goggles claimed the booster plant was still street legal. Nobody asked to see the paperwork.

Still a heatwave, still dry, but now with a steady hot wind cutting across the course and heavy gusts tearing through Bat Country like someone had started the Mint 400 inside the grow. The air carried dust, heat, and that brutal Föhn feeling — the kind of wind that drinks before the plant gets a fair chance.
Out on the course, the side branches kept stretching. One group left the line, then another, then the lower riders started pulling long across the sand as if someone had dropped the flag and forgotten to tell the officials. Lacerda was somewhere in the dust cloud, taking pictures of absolutely nothing.
“Can you see the plant?”
“Parts of it.”

The temperatures finally returned to something almost normal, especially at night. Then the storm arrived. Thunder rolled over Bat Country, rain hammered the course, and the wind turned the grow into an off-road race. Plants went down. Autopots slid across the floor. One reptile mechanic tried to strap the plant to a dune buggy as a booster.
Nobody stopped him.
The flowering was still moving at a glacial pace, somewhere behind the starting line while the rest of the desert had already exploded. The storm called for pit work: a little more defoliation and lollipopping, followed by improvised HST. With no proper training material available, several side branches were bent into a more horizontal position, spreading the plant out and keeping the wind from turning every branch into a handlebar.
Lacerda documented the whole disaster from behind a wet press badge. His notes contained three words:
“Plants. Rain. Liability.”
By the end of the week, the course was soaked, the Autopots had changed position, the branches were bent low, and the plant was still inching toward bloom — slowly, stubbornly, and apparently determined to finish the race without the assistance of a reptile-powered dune buggy.

The bathtub was already full when Gonzo started yelling for the tape.
Rain hammered the course outside. Wind shoved against the walls. Gusts came in waves, like the whole Mint 400 had broken through the bathroom door and flooded the suite with mixed weather: sun, rain, cooler nights, warm air, and that nervous trackside feeling when nobody knows whether the race has ended or just changed rooms.
The plant stood by the sink, lightly cleaned up with targeted lollipopping and defoliation, watching this disaster like a sober witness at the wrong convention. Gonzo wanted White Rabbit. He wanted the sound to rise, the room to peak, the storm to hit the porcelain at exactly the right moment.
“Feed your head,” the tape whispered.
Duke looked at the radio. Then at the tub. Then at the grapefruit. A grapefruit is not a weather instrument, but in Bat Country it can become one very quickly.
It hit the water like thunder. Gonzo screamed. The shower curtain snapped in the gusts. The plant stared through the steam and still took her sweet time with flowering, as if blooming during this kind of electrical malpractice would be bad form.
Then the fever cracked. Back on the course, Lacerda was shouting into the rain with a soaked press badge and a camera full of useless proof. The weather kept changing laps. The plant was still in the race — trimmed lightly, moving slowly, and refusing to explain the rabbit.

If anyone would ask.. I'd always say outdoor.. let it grow the plant knows the best way... but I try to adapt a bit because of the environment and limited sun .. bad spot 😪 Anyway.. I like christmas trees😂

@Condocannibus, Yeah, I’m pretty positive about that. 😅 I still have hopes that, even if she isn’t early, she somehow gets really fast at some point. 😎 Well, not too much hope anymore… 😅
In any case, up until now everything has survived somehow... it’s just a question of how much light she gets during the finishing/bulking stage. 😅
Also, probably a bad idea not to plant a “normal” Sunset Sherbet next to the Fast version. It doesn’t really help if I’m annoyed that she’s slower than the others when I have no non-Fast one to compare her to. 😅
I was pretty sure a “regular timed” Sunset Sherbet wouldn’t finish in time anyway in my region, so I thought I could spare me an indoor run with a sunset sherbet genetic. 😅So fingers crossed it works out somehow.
Thx for really reading and interpretation/thought.. I believed I wasn't too obvious about the eventually finish between all these words and sentences I used in the diary. 😹💚

Really not.. if you're talking about the earth hooks.. I don't have any training material left 😂 All the Velcro cable ties and plastic clips are in use. Earth hooks in the air was a last resort, but I think I'll take that for indoor ^^ it's really fun, but unfortunately, those were sold out too ;-)
As it looks, it's going to take a long time, so it probably won't work out with the sun even with the best wishes 😘😎 A bit annoying, I wanted another Sunset Sherbert because the last one was so intense in smell and taste... but I didn't want the genetics outdoor, so this "almost" came at the right time. Unfortunately, it's the slowest of all the genetics I have... regardless of pot size, location 😩😖 That's extremely frustrating. Maybe faster than a normal sunset or it was just that one stupid seed (it also took longer than 10 days to hatch). On top of that, it's now way too bushy for my mold risk and late year 😩 Well.. I guess I have to hope for small airy buds.

@TruTraTri, Hmm yeah, that’s annoying. I also noticed that with my Strawberry Blue. It only started about 2 weeks ago, even though it’s labeled as Early. You can really see and feel the Sativa influence. So the question is whether it’s due to the pheno or the strain itself.
My thought now is to focus on Fast/Early in the summer in the future, but with a maximum of 40% Sativa content as a hybrid or just pure Indica genetics. Just looking at the growth – and because it really has grown quite large – I would also suspect a high Sativa content with the Sherbet.
So let’s pray together to Shiva or Ganjaesha or the holy Biblumm that everything goes well for our late growers. 😂 If necessary, I’ll take a lamp out of the tent or squeeze it in before it breaks.
I also have an ace up my sleeve, at least against bud rot etc., and it’s called Dailynex. It’s available from various companies under different names: https://dailynex.de/pflanzenzucht/
But that’s off-label use. However, I’ve read about people who spray it preventively on the plants, and it apparently doesn’t harm them, but helps successfully with a biofilm. No chemicals or anything, and I haven’t applied it directly to the plants myself yet.
But I will spray a bit on the lower leaves of my Medical-Mass in the next few days and observe. I’ll let you know if it dies or if everything is fine. 😅 If everything is good, the others will also get a misting.
Next week it’s supposed to get colder. No rain, but I’m starting to shiver. 😂
So, enough letter writing here. But it’s nice to write again!

So my thought this year was 3 fast ones (2fast+frisian dew) and 3 "normal" ones. Then I wanted to harvest the three, the other three would then go into stretch, and there's plenty of space, and it doesn't look so massive... Damn it! 😂
Yeah, the prayers help... I already sent one to @Irrai against storms and hail... at least so far no hail 😋
So, as a precaution, I sprayed Neem in w4 for the Autos because the soil was messed up. But for flowering, never ever... I already get nervous with fog and rain... I wouldn't dare to put anything on them.
Mhm, generally speaking... many say not to spray anything on buds... but I'll take a look and form my own opinion ;-)
So the innovative thing seems to be hypochlorous acid... I’d say you can also use hydrogen peroxide (or mix it yourself). Successfully using biofilm is extremely helpful for pipes and industry/pharma. But with plants, living beings... my GUT?!?!(I don't know why I’m writing that in, but so much for gut cleanses or sending valuable cultures into the gut)😂 I would strongly advise against deliberately destroying or disrupting biofilms. I don’t have any experiments on that, but for example, with deodorant, if you use it constantly, you don’t smell because you kill everything and have no biofilm... but as soon as you stop using it, you smell because, unfortunately, the ones you don’t want love to take advantage of the gaps. So, meow meow meow... and if you spray it on the leaves, it won’t help anyway^^.
Another point, if it’s supposed to help against biofilm (even prevent it), you have to either passivate the surface chemically/biologically or structurally rework it (coating, nanostructures, for example). So similar to other cleaning methods... it probably helps, but I’d say it’s overkill, and in an emergency, you’re just opening the door for the bad stuff!
The outlook... yeah... for cannabis, I think this year was way too good 😂 at least as long as there was enough water. At some point, it has to go bad. It’s really unfair of nature that when I want my buds to be fat, the shadows fall so that no sun comes anymore and the weather is just crap. I’d rather have bad weather during veg and nice little ones ;-)
Mhm, with a sativa influence, that could be, it’s quite a hefty one (not that it’s "big"), but yeah... with seed experiments, you never know what you’re gonna get 😌 In the end, for me, everything is hybrid anyway, the Sunset is supposed to have more indica (I checked quickly).
With genetics... no idea, it’s all an experiment... buuuut... whether Fast or not... Zkittlez always rocks 😂 Frisian Dew was also high on my list for a long time... and I have to say I’m not disappointed. It’s nice in flowering, a bit faster than the Zkittlez stuff and a bit slower than the Zkittlez Fast. I only made one seed again, but I’d say the Frisian Dew are also genetically "older"/more stable?!
At the latest, when my 3 remaining ones are up to date, I’ll check out what your spraying is doing... probably some kind of liquid crack... no mold and people want it again and again 😜 But I’ve already peeked. You didn’t manage to get to 3 meters with that one concerningly over-trained and too big one 😆
