Why? Well, over time, the seeds have piled up in the fridge and I knew I still had some Sensi Seeds - seeds somewhere.
Then I saw the contest and, since I had to urgently take one plant to the slaughter, it was clear!
Everything always comes as it should! 😉😵😁🔨💚
So let's go with the Chocolate Rainbow XXL from Sensi Seeds!
Here’s the Sensi Seeds description:
"Chocolate Rainbow XXL Feminized is a hybrid with 65% Indica and 35% Sativa genetics, developed by crossing GMO with Gelato 41.
This plant has a slender, columnar structure with large fan leaves, bushy foliage, and large internodal spacing.
It thrives in sunny Mediterranean climates and delivers a respectable yield of dense buds. When consumed, this cannabis strain produces a strong body high and an uplifting cerebral buzz. It features a pronounced sweet terpene profile.

I love GMO strains! And I’ve tasted Gelato once, but due to all the hype, I've never grown it until today. Hypes are not really my thing!

The first signs of side branches are visible.

The first signs of side branches are now shooting up.
The height is at 14cm and the growth is picking up speed.
I think this week the plant will be topped once so the side branches can develop nicely.

The side branches are growing nicely along the side towards the main stem.
To achieve a nice uniformity, I topped the plant this week.
The height is at 29 cm and is picking up speed more and more.

After the fifth week of growth, the Chocolate Rainbow XXL is developing very uniformly and is spreading nicely.
The side branches are growing beautifully along the sides towards the main stem.
To achieve a nice uniformity, I topped the plant and it is handling it super well.
The height is at 42 cm and it is developing more of a strong Indica growth.

After the sixth week of growth, the Chocolate Rainbow XXL continues to develop very homogeneously and is spreading nicely on its own.
The side branches are growing nicely along towards the main stem. Haven't had such a homogeneously broad plant in a long time.
The height is just under 50 cm and it is developing a strong Indica growth. I really like its vertical growth since it’s not shooting up.

After the seventh week of growth (day 54), the Chocolate Rainbow XXL continues to develop very uniformly and is spreading nicely on its own.
What you can't see from the side view, you can see from above in its width!
It is beautifully wide and has super balanced height distances.
The side branches are growing nicely along the side towards the main stem. I haven't had such a uniformly wide plant in a long time.
The height is just under 58 cm.
I really like its vertical growth, as it isn't shooting up.
The plant doesn't need any further training and is entering the flowering stage today (August 18).
The conditions in the grow cabinet are top-notch for the upcoming flowering phase!

Chocolate Rainbow 🍫🌈
After the eighth week of growth, the first week of flowering is already over.
🌱(Day 61 of growth | 🌷 Day 7 of flowering)
Since the height growth for this strain has generally been moderate, I expect a rather lower stretch as well.
In the first week of flowering, the plant has gained 10cm, so I suspect that the stretch will also taper off quickly.
It is beautifully wide and has very balanced height distances.
The height is now just under 69cm.
I really like its height growth, as it’s not shooting up.
I have now started with lollipopping and also removed a few sun leaves to better illuminate the inner shoots.
Everything is now trimmed for flowering, so this week I added 10ml of PK-Booster from Biotabs to one liter of watering until week 4 of flowering.
I have now increased the light intensity to 630µmol.
The conditions in the grow cabinet are top-notch for the upcoming flowering phase!
