Planet of the Grapes First Grow

Hashukmahli Finally realized I was going too long between watering and started watering before they lose rigor, used mason line for my scrog

Hashukmahli I went pretty hard on the lollipopping over a couple days, hopefully I will get some nice tops. I gave it four days and flipped on day 69.

Hashukmahli It’s adding an inch or more in height everyday, I’m seeing the bud sites forming. I noticed the bottom foliage yellowing faster with brown tips and edges so I finally started feeding with gh trio and cal mag.

Hashukmahli The color of the fan leaves is too yellow, I upped the feed and adjusted ph every watering to pH 6.5. Much of fan leaves starting from the bottom have been yellowing and looking bad, I fixed the pH and upped the nutrients so it will hopefully slow down and the color will correct soon. Although the developing sugar leaves are a bit darker, so maybe it is already beginning to help. I also took off a bunch of wimpy shoots that didn’t reach the rest of the canopy and pulled off some buds that were too low, I didn’t go super aggressive. This is my first grow, so I will see what this gets me and learn what I want for the future. I may do a bit more defoliation to improve airflow over the next few weeks, I am hoping to avoid mold mildew and bud rot as best I can.

Hashukmahli I raised the light a couple inches, I’m starting to see some sugar leaves twisting. I ph every feed, hopefully it’s not too severe of an issue. Also seeing purpling. Yellowing on the bottom fan leaves seems to have slowed a bit. Despite these issues, smell is developing nicely and buds seem to be developing so I’m not too worried/ can be bothered to fix anything.

Hashukmahli The foliage doesn’t look how I’d like. I’ll try lowering the ph to 6.2 from 6.5 for about a week and see if the damage slows down. The runoff ec wasn’t too high, but the ph was coming out a bit higher. I don’t know whether that matters, but there’s definitely an issue. As long as they’re healthy enough to get through the next month, and I’m sure they are, I’ll be happy. The smell is progressing and hopefully the buds will continue developing nicely. Next grow, I will probably use coco. I think an issue I am having with this grow is that I waited for the nutrients to run out before I started feeding and that caused stress, I was already in flower, so I’m left with no new leaves, everything is from when it was deficient so they just keep looking worse over time.
