Puff_TM_Dragon Sprouted on vacation. Transplanted to 5 gallon. It will get full reign of the 32x32. First time trying to go bigger. I usually go 3 gal x 2 and a sprout. 18 hrs. Let’s go! 1/1 direct sow.

Puff_TM_Dragon Realized I haven’t updated in 15 days! Week 2 and 3 have been uneventful. Watering about once a week.
I’m sure that is about to change and become more frequent. Easy grow so far.

Puff_TM_Dragon Defoliation.
Top dressed with Dr Earth Tomato and herb. Plant is staying very compact at the moment. Removed some of the larger fan leaves that were starting to discolor.
I need be a little more consistent with watering. Despite some of the neglect it seems to be very tolerant.

Puff_TM_Dragon Topped for the second time. Topped dressed with Dr. Earth 4-6-3. I’ve been a little more mindful of watering lately and it seems Iike it is paying off.
Liking the structure of this plant.

Puff_TM_Dragon Feed, water, and defoliation. No training thus far. The structure and node spacing is consistent and very manageable. Will probably flip to 12 hours soon.

Puff_TM_Dragon Flipped to 12 hour about 7 days ago. Still looking for signs of flower but that will probably be any day now. The stretch has begun. No food this week since it got a fair sized dose last week. Removing leaves as they show signs of fatigue. Still no training and probably won’t. This plant just naturally knows what to do.

Puff_TM_Dragon It’s been 2 weeks since I flipped to 12 hrs. It’s just now starting to show signs of flowering. Was generous with the feed this week. This will be the last time feeding with all purpose and will now switch to bloom nutrients. A little shot of Cal Mag this week. From my experience it seems to give a little boost, sturdier, stronger. Steady defoliation, usually occurring every other day when I water. Very distinct smell compared to strains I’ve grown in the past.

Puff_TM_Dragon Lots of defoliation this week. No nutrients this week but watered in thoroughly.
Started developing some brown spots on the leaves. I’m thinking maybe I was a little too heavy handed on the feeding the week prior. Definitely an imbalance with the ph or nutrient lockout somewhere. If it is too much nitrogen I would expect to see some darker leaves coming in. Perhaps an overload with the shorter light cycle. Too much water? Raised the lights a little. Very slow to flower. Acting a little finicky compared to weeks prior. I’ll let it ride for a few days. Nothing scientific about this grow. Simply doing what has worked the past.

Puff_TM_Dragon Not sure what is going on with this plant. It hit a wall after cycling to 12 hours. It’s been nearly 5 weeks at 12 hrs. Buds are not really forming yet after 3 weeks showing pre-flower. No true bud formation yet. It’s a bit discouraging. Never had a plant take this long. Held back on nutrients this week and was more focused on trying to flush the soil a bit. Trimming leaves that are looking tired.
@Patricia_Zamnesia, thank you for helping try to solve this. The soil is definitely not optimal since it’s been reclaimed several times. I amend with a liberal amount of Dr. Earth and usually have decent results. I did check the pH and the soil was reading 8.5 between waterings and around 6.7-7 right after watering. The iron or sulphur lockout makes sense in that context.
After updating my diary this week I decided to check my timer and see if that could possibly be the culprit. I don’t know how or when it happened, not only was it set to 18/6 but the timer wasn’t even on. The lights had been running 24 hrs! Maybe I dreamed I set it to 12 hrs? The plant is probably very stressed as a result. It’s on 12 hrs now but I won’t be surprised if it hermies on me.
It looks like it was starting to flower at one point but I don’t know when the light schedule got screwed up. More importantly, I can’t believe it took so long for me to catch it.
@GERGrowDesigns, thank you!
This strain seems to have it figured out. Old school strain that seems to have the genetics dialed in. Minimal care and doing the thing naturally. Just some pruning here and there. No training.
