Bncgrower Unfortunately, this grow tent in my bedroom is very short; it’s extremely difficult to keep the plants low enough so they don't touch the light. I even thought about setting up a ScrOG net, but it lacks the frame bars on one side to attach it to, so I’d have to secure it some other way.

Bncgrower Everything seems fine; she’s practically recovered. She’s a strain that really stretches, making it hard to keep her short. From now on, I’m only putting trained plants with short veg times in this tent—at least until I figure out what to do about the grow space's height.
Bncgrower Everything is going as expected; with them intertwined like that, it’s really hard to distinguish one from the other. Looking forward to the coming weeks...

Bncgrower Week 6 of flower.. everything is under control 👌
Why don’t you try topping them if you’d like to keep them a bit smaller? It can help keep them more compact. Look how flat mine are—although maybe that’s a bit extreme, and they’ve already had quite a long vegetative phase. 😄
Just a thought! The Super HST xD does look kind of funny though, a bit like a grasshopper. I’m curious to see how it looks later on. 😄
@Kushycat, Hi, that’s a great point. In my other grow diaries—both recent and older—I’ve used techniques like Topping, LST, Mainlining, and HST, but I also let plants grow naturally into that beautiful pine-tree shape. And to be honest... the plants that yield the best results are the ones that don't get any training at all, aside from some light defoliation. 🌲🌲🌲👌?
The types of pruning and mainlining used on the plants significantly reduce the final yield, as they remove the main apex and cause shock, consuming energy and recovery time for healing and hormonal reorganization, when you opt for drastic pruning, you are essentially sacrificing the plant's natural energy efficiency in exchange for structural control.
So, I prefer not to prune or use HST, but that technique yielded the best results in my previous grows. It wasn't as aggressive back then because my other grow space had decent headroom, but this one is way too low, so unfortunately, only trained plants work here. Take a look at my recent Mimosa and Garlotti crops—I used HST on those too. ✌️
@Bncgrower, The original shape is usually really nice, but depending on the plant, it can be quite difficult to manage, as you already mentioned yourself. Sure, pruning is always stressful for the plant in the end.
I had a long veg phase this time, so I wanted to keep them relatively small since I already knew they would take up quite a bit of space. In the future, if my veg phase isn’t as long, I’ll probably use LST again too. I did that during my first run, and I actually prefer that method as well—just like you do.
Have you ever thought about getting a taller tent? xD
@Kushycat, Yeah, sorry for the delay; I’ve been really busy these past few weeks—I didn't even have time to check out my friends' beautiful grow diaries.
But I’m going to take a moment to do that now before bed...
Right, so I have two tents: one in the bathroom (80x80x180)—which is actually a decent size, and I don't have any major issues with it—and another in my bedroom, which has a height problem. It measures 90x60x135; that depth is exactly what fits on my desk. It was supposed to be just for the vegetative stage, but I ended up having to flower three plants that weren't part of the original plan... Anyway, I’ve often thought about buying another tent, but I haven't found anything in the size I need, so I’m just making do with what I have. 😅
