Day 0: I started this seed by inoculating in URB for 25 min before moving to a jiffy pellet that had been soaking in 6.3 pH water. I placed it under my T5 shelf setup for seeds/clones. Inoculating in URB is supposed to potentially pop the seed in as little as 2 days. I’m excited to grow this strain! Ill be doing an indica tent and a sativa tent this run. I’ll be using the 2-part Emerald Harvest line again and when it comes time for 7 gallon fabric pots, I’m going to buy some new ones. The buildup is pretty bad in the ones I’ve been using. I suspect I’ll veg for 9-10 weeks and then flower for another 9-10 depending on how she performs. Day 4: I had to start a new seed. The original seed in the jiffy pellet had something in the pellet blocking the seed from opening correctly. The cotyledons popped out of the shell, but the taproot was caught in the shell. I pulled it off with tweezers and put it in dirt, so maybe it will survive. The cotyledons do look nice and green and I can see the new leaf tips.

Day 14: she is really taking off now under the LEDs. I did a light feeding a few days ago and and still letting them dry out. A little warmer that I want at 85 degrees, but they don’t seem to mind.

Day 22: I can’t believe how much she grew in just a week being in the 1gal pot. The node spacing is much greater than I wanted since it’s going to be difficult to scrog now. Trying to figure out the best way to do that now. I may have to bury her up to her neck! I harvested my Dinafem run last night, so I moved them into the tent out of the hot closet.

Day 57: starting week 10 if veg now. I went back to veg lightninlt and raised the led to 24”. I was a bit closer than that and with both switches on, they didn’t seem to care for the extra heat. They have responded well over th last two days from that change. Still watering half gallon per plant every other day. I tried 3/4 gal last week, but they didn’t like that either. I’ll likely flip to 12-12 next week, but I’ll make that call later this week. Almost time! For being a week younger than her tent mate, she’s huge!!!

Right now, it looks like they might be more popcorn nugs instead of big fat flowers, but time will tell. She is technically a week younger than her tent-mate, so there is still time to go! 4-5 more weeks left, I'd say. She's really a pretty plant!

Day 113: MAJOR PROBLEM ALERT! I don't know what happened, but over the course of a couple of days, all fan leaves either wilted or turned crispy and died. I've been feeding the exact same nutes as my three other plants and I am meticulous with pH and measuring my nutes. I have been watering 3/4 gal every 48 hours. I went a few hours past 48 hours last week and she was looking a bit sad, but seemed to recover after watering. Then 48 hours later, she looked like this and she smells like hay now and not good bud. In nearly two years of non-stop growing, I've never experienced this. It almost looks like nute-lockout, but I can't quite tell. I watered with pH'd water only yesterday, so hopefully she can recover and finish without too much loss. She looks like she's nearing completion, but definitely had more time to go. Bummer.

I was late watering one night last week and she was looking wilted, then 48 hours later, she looked this like with all fan leaves wilted or dead and crispy and she isn't standing back up after watering. Nute-lockout? Underwatering damage? I always check nute pH. Thoughts?

One big clue of underwatering is that plants perk up every time after you water. So this leaves me to believe u have root problems. Flush immediately with pH water to get rid of any salt build up. Also your grow light looks to be a little close you are having leaves yellowing on top.

Day 121: I started flushing last week. She's alive, but has a very grassy smell and doesn't seem like its going to be a very good turn out for her. Unfortunately, I think humidity might have played a role in the root problem...I should have got my space heater back out to keep the temps up. Oh well, lesson learned the hard way. Maybe the smoke will turn out ok...time will tell.

I got thrips near the end of Harvest and it decimated the leaves of the plant. It kind of ruined a fantastic grow, so this review isn’t going to be as positive as it might have been, but that’s not the fault of the plant. Lesson learned!

It kind of ruined a fantastic grow, so this review isn’t going to be as positive as it might have been, but that’s not the fault of the plant. Lesson learned! She was a week younger than her tent mate and was twice as big. She was looking fantastic until I contaminated my indoor grow from my outdoor grow. I think I brought them inside when I was harvesting and had trim all over me when I went to feed the indoor and bam. I didn’t know the signs until it was too late. I still harvested, but it was so dry and crispy after drying out, that I’m not very excited to smoke such a plant. I’ll give her a go another time and make sure to keep the pests out.

@gdogfunk, Spinosad products are organic and unlike many other thrip pesticides, completely harmless to pets, children, and plants. Unlike many insecticides, you can spray spinosad heavily on leaves and roots with basically no negative effects. Spinosad products can be used directly to kill thrips on contact, but can also be used when watering plants to systematically kill thrips via the roots. Spinosad is also effective at fighting caterpillers, spider mites, and many other marijuana pests. Can be used both as a topical spray, and can also be used directly at the roots. Spinosad is an organic insecticide made from the fermentation of a specific soil bacteria (actinomycete Saccharopolyspora spinosa) and kills thrips via ingestion or contact by affecting the insect nervous system. Spinosad can be a good choice for organic and outdoor growers, because it is very toxic to thrips, but is less toxic to many beneficial insects. Note: Most spinosad products are effective for only about 24 hours after being mixed with water, so only mix as much as you will need per application. Anything left over will be waste.

@DankGardener, turns out it was not a root issue and my light is the proper distance. The culrpit? THRIPS!!!! I must have infected my indoor garden after handling my outdoor garden. I just discovered them and they were also infesting my new young plants. I sprayed the young plants with Spinosad and that seems to have killed them. I will thoroughly cleanse my tents immediately after harvest.
the end.
