#5 - Blucci OG & Pink Giraffe

InsideTheTent The first week is over and they are both doing fine. Since I'm using a lightmix, there's not much going on this week, I just adjusted the pH of my tap water. We are in the middle of a heatwave right now, so the temperatures are a bit high, but at least it's also humid. InsideTheTent Nothing much happened this week, the plants are doing well. I've been doing some early LST to keep the plants flat. We still have a heat wave but at least it cooled down a tiny bit. I've been repositioning the light and the fan since the soil did dry up very uneven. This is the last post before I'm topping both of them. InsideTheTent What a week, a lot happened! Early this week I was topping both plants. Thankfully they recovered super fast. A few days later I removed 4 big leaves that covered the new growth. I also increased the training (LST) to make the lower branches grow more sideways. As you can see both plants are super bushy and chaotic, so I will trim them properly after this post. That will give them another week to recover again, before i will send them into flower next weekend. I'll probably install the trellis net next weekend too, we will see. By the way, I'm super happy with the fertilizer so far! To be fair, that doesn't mean much this early in the grow. Especially since I'm using PH- and CalMag by BioBizz, so I'm not really testing if Plagron is more forgiving. Blucci OG: 23cm (27cm distance to light) Pink Giraffe: 26cm (24cm distance to light)

InsideTheTent What a busy week, a lot happened inside the tent! Just after last weeks post, I've finally installed the trellis net. To be honest, it was probably a bit late, the plants were fighting a lot and I had to defoliate quite a bit, to make them behave. After ignoring the plants for a few days to recover, I was greeted with an insane growth spurt. The plants both grew by 50% in that one week! The tent looked like a jungle, no light or air could penetrate that mess. So even though it's a bit earlier than planned, I cut the plants back like crazy, and removed all growth below the trellis net. You can see the carnage in the photos. I guess I've removed 30-40% of the overall plant mass. But that is the price I have to pay to grow two plants inside a tiny tent. I hope they won't complain too much. Also noteworthy is that the heatwave in Germany is finally over, we have temperatures around the mid 20s and a lot of rain now. I also started to add more Calmag, since a friend mentioned that the plants looked like they need some more Magnesium. Last but not least, this was the last week of vegetation! InsideTheTent The first week of flowering is over! Sorry for the late post, I was gone over weekend. But this also gave me the chance to show you a nice before and after trimming and how wild they get inside this tiny tent. It's less of a problem with automatics but with feminized seeds you really have to work to make 2 plants work inside this tiny space. And I bet that puts a lot of stress on the plants too which reduces the yield. After just a few days I had to remove another huge pile so the light can actually reach more than the top few sun leaves. Beside that the massive amount of leaves puts out so much moisture that it's hard to keep it in check. Especially when so many leaves touch. I would probably not recommend this for people who want maximum yield. In my case I don't have much space but I also want as much variety. On top of that are the laws in my country quite restrictive so I'm not even allowed to harvest too much. So it's a weird thing that fits quite well for me. I usually shoot my photos AFTER trimming, so it doesn't look problematic in most photos. So this weekend is a good opportunity to confess that it's actually quite silly what I'm doing here. If you don't want a headache use these tiny tents for only one plant. And last but not least: yay they are both female.
