Electric Blueberry Cycle 1

RootboundCANNApy Early veg growth - the plants are reaching 2 - 4 inches in the coco/perlite mix in peat cups. In need of an up-potting, but overall, growth is stable after early errors.

RootboundCANNApy After setting up the new AC Infinity tent, environmental controls, and the EVO6 500W LED to replace the overly intense Gavita 1000e that I thought I was going to use, the rootbound plants were transplanted into 1‑gallon fabric pots. I am now able to water to runoff appropriately. Growth has reached 4–6 inches, and despite battling humidity in the initial tent location, conditions are better. The coco/perlite mix is supporting steady early veg development, and the plants are responding well to the improved airflow and lighting.

RootboundCANNApy Weeks 5 shows steady progress despite ongoing humidity issues in the initial tent location. Plants are beginning to develop bushier early veg growth, responding well to the increased space in the now 3‑gallon fabric pots. I unintentionally increased perlite in the medium mix and added Mykos to support root development. Most stand around 6 - 8 inches.

RootboundCANNApy Week 7, the plants have bushed into a thick jungle. I had to perform some defoliation and open the mylar divider to the 1-foot extension as I still cannot sex the plants to cull males and make some real room. The tent was moved into a more suitable location, and humidity has become less of an issue.

RootboundCANNApy After a vacation, I am back and ready to flip. Waiting for some of the signs of the less consistent watering schedule to lift before the flip, but we are almost there. I performed a third topping on a couple plants to slow down the vertical growth and was able to cull two males when I got back. I am waiting a few more days to be certain of a couple of the remaining plants' sex.

RootboundCANNApy This week is the first week of 12/12 light cycling. New growth is bright, pistils are now showing on all six of the remaining plants (x3 Electric Blueberry F2 and x3 Electric Blue x Secret Stomper). I made some changes to the space, removing the shelving in the additional 1x4 section to open up more room for airflow and light. I purchased and will be adding a second Cloudray S6 fan for airflow and will be installing the Ionbeam S6 supplemental light bars on the corner poles to even out PPFD across the canopy.

RootboundCANNApy Finishing the second week of flower, the environment seems to be pretty stable with my average kPa consistently at 1.0 to 1.1. I am continuing to feed the Athena blended line daily to runoff. Following their program, my input is approx. 1150 ppm and 5.8 pH, and the runoff is testing consistently 1400 - 1600 ppm. I culled the three Electric Blueberry F2 plants to maximize airflow and space and focus on the three remaining Electric Blueberry x Secret Stomper plants. The back two are athletes, which prompted me to drop a trellis in hopes to let the front plant catch up and not run into any vertical space issues closing out the cycle. I was able to reduce the height of the 36 - 38 inch giants by about 6 - 8 inches as they had outgrown the other by almost a foot. The last Electric Blue x Secret Stomper is about to successfully meet the trellis. I am going to stop tucking in a couple of days to allow the tabletop to rise. Beautiful, bright white pistils continue to explode into some early buttoning. The run seems to be going well so far.

RootboundCANNApy This week introduced Athena PK to the nutrient solution. I am tucking these gals under the trellis regularly which will make the harvest more difficult but should buy me enough vertical space to comfortably finish out the run. Deciding to finish this run with only the 3 Electric Blueberry x Secret Stomper, they are going to take up every bit of space in there anyways. They are looking good.
