JabbaDaBud After the little ones spent 5 days in the greenhouse, they moved today into their final 20L Airpots. They're now in a 50/50 mix of Atami Cocos and Plagron Lightmix. Fertilized today with 2.5ml/L Plantform Grow, 1ml/L Plantform Silicon, and 1ml/L Plantform Enzyme. Also added 0.21g/L Epsom salt, because while the Plantform Grow fertilizer provides enough calcium, it doesn't contain magnesium, and this way I get exactly a Calmag ratio of 3 to 1. EC nutrient solution = 0.9 pH nutrient solution = 6.0 Inoculated during repotting with Tyrolean lucky mushrooms, Mycorrhiza Soluble. 1g/L plus a bit to the roots and planting holes. PPFD = 230 Temp = 23° Rfl = 70% VPD = 0.8 Co2 = 300 ppm Soil temperature = 24°

JabbaDaBud Transplanted 2 days ago and they are developing splendidly. Since the temperatures were too low, I improvised a heating box. Now the values are looking very good (see pictures).

JabbaDaBud Tag 8. Noch kein Giessbedarf, die Airpots sind noch schwer genug. Der eine Krüppelt leider und kommt wahrscheinlich die Tage raus. Geht dann halt mit 5 weiter. Habe mir ein eigenes Dünge- und Zuchtschema erarbeitet. Alles genau ausgerechnet, damit die Verhältnisse, insbesondere Calmag bei 3:1 landet. Da ich mit Regenwasser gieße, musste ich ein paar knifflige Hürden meistern. An allererster Stelle, die geringere Pufferkraft meines Kokos-Lightmix-Substrats, dass ja bekanntermaßen keine Karbonathärte aufweist und den pH-Wert fast nicht puffern kann. Nachdem verschiedene Lösungsansätze überlegt wurden, zB Kaliumbicarbonat und Dolomitkalk, habe ich mich für eine Mischung aus Leitungswasser (35 %) und Regenwasser (65 %) entschieden. Da dies am einfachsten umzusetzen ist und mir vorallem auch am sichersten erscheint. Ich hoffe es passt alles so und ich habe nichts vergessen. Hab ein Bild vom Plan mit reingesetzt. Wenn einem ein Fehler auffällt, oder jemand einen Verbesserungsvorschlag hat, kann er es gerne anmerken. Ich würde mich sehr freuen. LG

JabbaDaBud Since I thought they were 20l airpots, I watered the ladies with 4l per pot. There are 12l airpots. As a result, a lack of oxygen occurred at the roots, nitrogen uptake was blocked, and they drew nitrogen from the older, lower leaves. That's why they are yellowed. I have let the pots dry for over a week now and yesterday, in week 4, watered moderately again with half NPK and only 1.5l. They already look significantly better after 24 hours. (see week 4)

JabbaDaBud This week it was time for LST, even though they weren't quite ready yet. As you can see from the pictures, they handled it well. I watered them yesterday as described in week 3. Today, 24 hours later, the ladies look much more vibrant again.

JabbaDaBud So, I put each of the ladies in a dunk tank for 5 minutes 2 days ago. I mixed 30 liters with half NPK but full Calmag dosage. The 6 almost sucked up all the water. Apparently, they were thirsty, even though the core, according to the stick test, was still quite moist. That's probably a quirk of the Air-Pots that I need to get used to. I think I'll only water the Air-Pots like that from now on, as it seems to work pretty well. By the way, those are 12.5-liter pots, not 20 liters. Look at that, the ladies are back and already so fit today that the next LST could be carried out.
