ShivaShanti Week 3. I still feel like Jack's Dream is going directly from seedling into flower. Not sure yet. Needs more time. Looking good. Started fertilizer TPS One Organic Veg-Flower fertilizer and I always feed SuperThrive once a week along with the TPS ferts. Outdoor. Tropical environment. Rain daily. High humidity. High heat. I believe the 12/12 photo period has changed slightly by one hour 11 light 13 dark as we approach what is like Fall time here in Florida.

ShivaShanti 4th week with Jacks Dream Photo. Had some insect damage on the lower leaves after a heavy rain storm. I needed to trim the first 3 sets of true leaves. Growing nicely. Its in a very small pot to keep it very small. Im not looking for a huge yield as this is only an experiment. I do not use cannabis and I am Growing simply for ornamental purposes. Any harvest will be given away after processing.

ShivaShanti Jacks Dream still chugging at the beginning of week 5. We can see some good growth. A very small pot, insect pressure, and heavy rains are limiting super explosive growth which is totally fine as this is still just an experimental grow. Will update when I see some change.

ShivaShanti Jacks Dream by Green House Seed Company Amsterdam. Really impressed with Jacks Dream ability to resist pests, extreme heat and humidity, heavy rain, and all without a hint of mold or mildew. Keeps chugging along in its tiny pot. Flowering should start any day now. At first I thought it went directly into flower after seedling but it did not. Had i started it to the 5th internode inside at 24 hours light and then stuck it outside at 11/13 it would have went immediately into flower. It just grew fast. Conditions are not optimized in the location its growing. During the nighttime there may be light leaks and its not completely naturally dark. Im interested in watching it flower. It should be pretty cool. Lets see if we can even get it to flower, considering the light leaks. The photoperiod is changing now but since I am in a tropical region the swing is only 2 or 3 hours either way. We are almost to the winter season. I can grow autoflowers all year long. During the winter I am interested in growing purple auto varietals with the chilly (for me) weather it should flower super purple! Lets keep an eye on Jacks Dream together.

ShivaShanti Jacks Dream, I decided to top since I have seen no signs of flowering yet. Lets see what happens. It was a lovely candidate for topping, healthy, strong, and vigorous growth. I have been feeding TPS one all around organic nutrients and SuperThrive everyday for two weeks now and I have seen zero signs of overfeeding or over watering. Jacks Dream has grown with a strong vigor. This varietal could easily grow 8-10ft plus tall if planted directly into the ground it could be a monster plant with many pounds of flower. Good thing I have it growing in only a ½ gallon pot. Totally just an experiment. Lets continue to watch this interesting plant bounce back from topping. Next week we should see two beautiful tops growing rapid and healthy. To be continued.

ShivaShanti Jacks Dream has finally showed white pistols, they're very tiny white pistols haha but they're present. Finally starting to flower. I hope to harvest Jacks Dream by Christmas. Hopefully flowering will go fast. If not, thats okay. I am growing this one for ornamental purposes and don't care if I even get a harvest. As you can see by the photos I have it growing in a very small pot. Probably 1/2 gal size, more tall than wide for a longer tap root. I was hoping the smaller pot would limit its size. And it did. So after topping its grown nicely and has bounced back fully. The size of the fan leaves are just amazing for such a small plant. Interesting experiment. Lets see what happens. Oh and this plant has also reacted to over fertilization and I have also stopped feeding for recovery to take hold. Edit: Recovery happened rapidly because I wasn't feeding heavy organics anyway. So I resumed feeding with Fox Farms Big Bloom Nutrients.

ShivaShanti Jacks Dream is starting its flower stretch. Since topping once. Jacks Dream has grown very nice twin tops. Surprisingly two of the lower branches have also caught up to the top colas. Now it will pretty much have two main colas and two secondary colas. Ive pruned all smaller branches and will allow the plant to focus all of its energy into these four branches. Jacks Dream would do great if allowed to grow to its full potential. Jacks Dream could easily grow into a monster plant outdoors. Obviously under optimal growing conditions. I haven't had any issues with this plant only a little fertilizer sensitivity. That was my fault. I am keeping the plant small on purpose. I do not use cannabis in any form so the size is not important to me. I am growing the plants for their beauty and I will process any flowers just for hobby sake. I enjoy the process of harvesting, drying, and getting the best cure on the flowers. Some people collect stamps. I enjoy plants haha.

ShivaShanti Jacks Dream Photoperiod. Topped. Has continued to add bulk to its four colas. Im so intrigued by this strain and I can't wait to see how it ends up. Its a late late season grow and its working haha obviously its working. Lets see if it actually finishes and it doesn't re-veg or anything in the next two months. I expect a December harvest time. Lets continue to watch Jacks Dream Photo. Edit: Update end of the week. The small pot (2-3 Quarts) Jacks Dream occupies is easily dried back almost fully by this plant. Reminds me of Solo Cup Grows haha. Its not thats small though. Jacks Dream is a very thirsty plant, drying out its medium overnight. Im now watering daily with SuperThrive. Every other day feeding/watering with Fox Farms Big Bloom (Bat Guano & Worm Castings) surprisingly low in Nitrogen for having worm castings?! Well Jacks Dream did not enjoy salt based chemical fertilizer (MiracleGro) So I have gone organic. Too be completely honest, I'm not even sure these Bloom Boosters or Bloom Nutrients create bigger or denser flowers. A control experiment must be out there somewhere or maybe I will do one. But the strains need to be exactly the same and very homogenized. I will continue to nuture Jacks Dream and give her the best I have available.

ShivaShanti Jacks Dream continues to bulk its flowers. Two main colas and two secondary colas. Topping worked very well with this photoperiod variety. I have a couple other photoperiod varietals Gorilla Cookies, Orange Sherbert, Arjan's Strawberry Haze and more Jacks Dream. Since they are photos and I grow outdoors only. I will need to wait until next April or May to plant new ones. Let continue to keep an eye on this little lady. Watching her flowers bulk is the fun part. I have continued feeding Foxfarms Big Bloom and more SUPERthrive. I have a few other salt based fertilizers but this strain did not react happily when applied. So we will continue with the weaker organic fertilizer.

ShivaShanti Jacks Dream Photo is coming along nicely. 4 main branches. Fuzz ball flowers growing fatter and fatter. I kept her small for a reason. She has shown a bit of a Nitrogen deficiency these past few days I have lost 3 lowest fast leaves from her ripping nitrogen out of them. Makes sense as I went straight to bloom nutrients on her and skipped nitrogen heavy products. I doused her with some Orchid Fertilizer this morning to see if that helps with the yellowing at the bottom. It should. They still need a bit of nitrogen during flower and thats usually missed by some growers. Lets continue to watch Jacks Dream Photo head towards the finish line. Beautiful plant. Smells lovely and old school. Edit: The Orchid Fertilizer I fed Jack's Dream a few days ago was exactly what she needed. Nitrogen is very important during flower as well and I know this haha. Why I decided to give her straight bloom nutrients low in nitrogen, I have no clue haha. Next time we will begin growing Jack's Dream in March, heavy nitrogen and a well balanced nutrient program. We will grow her full season and full size. To be determined.

ShivaShanti Jacks Dream Photo continues its mission of bulking its flowers. The aroma is legit old school. The Jack herer and a.m.s. gentetics are really showing. So old school and cool. I can't wait. There is alot more leaves growing inside of the flowers and she is seriously lacking in trichomes. Hopefully trichomes will show up at the end and cover everything with sugar. Its looking so much like the 2nd pheno of white widow auto I grew earlier this year. No crystals. It definitely is original Jack Herer x A.M.S. (anti mold strain) ams is the sweetest smoking strain in greenhouse seeds catalog. Old school though. Very old school. Lets watch what happens. Where's the crystals though haha Edit: Added some lovely flower shots captured during sunrise. My Jacks Dream may be lacking in the trichome department but it is still beautiful. What a pretty plant. This is why I grow, the beauty of cannabis is just incredible and when you do a great job or have great genetics the flowers can look so beautiful. She may not have many crystals but she is very hairy and will have tons of cool looking red hairs all over. Its going to be neat to see her finish.

ShivaShanti Jack's Dream by Green House Seed Company Amsterdam is coming to the home stretch here. It has alot more leaves inside the flowers than the autoflower varietals of which I've been experimenting. This cultivar has a shy lemon aroma. Very faint on the wind but strong on the fingers. Just lemon. Im not getting any funkiness or Skunk at all. Just lemony cannabis, an old school aroma. Nothing comparable to the modern strains ive been growing. The autos by fastbuds are extremely loud. This photoperiod is mellow. The flowers are very firm and plumping up nicely. Much more firm than my autoflower grows this year so far. As an outdoor plant its growing nicely, no mold or PM, very few insects or bugs. This varietal would shine if allowed to grow full season outdoors in full sun, zero shade, it could definitely grow into a massive giant 5-10lb harvest. The flowers are heavy for their size. The plant is about 30" tall. I topped once and it grew 4 colas with zero larf under the canopy. Its a solid strain. Id love to see it grown to its full size. This one a late season experiment. Its only 3 months old and it has so much flower for being such a small late season plant. I could see this plant having 2-3ft long colas the size of two liter soda bottles. Its supposed to be a sweet smoke and with the Jack Herer Heritage, it should have that old school aroma and effect. Almost done. Couple weeks. Check out the photos I shared. They are very beautiful. She is an easy model haha Edit: Night shots taken during a Hunters Moon. The moonlight shining across the flowers wiggling in the fall breeze. No Flash. The aroma has changed tonight the resin is greasy and smells like sweet english lemon curd. A sweet lemon scent. Resin is not sticky but greasy and skin absorbs the resin quickly. Interesting examination. The aroma on the wind is still very faint and light, not very loud. Beautiful photos.

ShivaShanti "Jack's Dream" a Green House Seed Company cross between Sensi Seeds Jack Herer × A.M.S. Edit: Official info by Green House Seed Company Website. The AMS is one of the most classic outdoor strains from the Green House Seeds catalog. It has won its popularity because of its extreme resistance to pest and fungus, so much so that was named for this quality: Anti Mold Strain Is what AMS stands for, aside from being a little tribute to Amsterdam City. It is the result of the cross of two old-school Swiss strains that were offered to Arjan by one of his great friends, and the result is a beautiful mix of a mossy-foresty smell and ripe red fruit flavors like an old jam would smell, combined with some rock-hard buds. The plants grow a beautiful and robust structure. The nodes will not stretch too much, just enough to provide the plant with good resistance to outside attacks like wind or animals. The branches also have strong stems to hold some heavy flowers at the end of the season. The following is my understanding: Jack Herer from Amsterdam I believe originally came from Sensi Seeds. Created by a 3 way cross of Nevilles Haze × Northern Lights #5 × Shiva Skunk all very popular strains back in the day. Neville and Shanti baba were hugely influential in the scene back then. Arjan Roskam (Green House) I speculate he acquired the Sensi genetics and took them further with Shanti Baba. Proprietary genetics were big business back when all these seed companies popped up. Green house Says on their website their Jack Herer is Haze × Red Skunk. Who knows which is the original at this point. Does it matter? I dont know. So thats my understanding of the origin story on Jack's Dream. Arjan's Breeders crossed their Jack Herer and their A.M.S. Now an update: You can see by my photos this plant is filling out nicely. The flowers are nice and plump. What you can't see is the resins are greasy, not tacky or sticky. Very oily and greasy on the fingers. Strong aroma of Lemons when molested. The aroma is not super strong standing next to the plant. This would be a great plant for incognito grows where scent travels. Stay tuned. I have stopped all feeding now just watering every other day with Rainwater and or reverse osmosis water. This plant in my opinion is nothing like their Jack's Dream Photo and that could be from pheno type or whatever. I could have something more close to the AMS end of the genetics. All I know is it smells like straight Lemon and has greasy resin, not sticky, at least this plant, grown this one time. Cannabis can be as deep as you want it to be. Lets see what the ending looks like. Im excited.

ShivaShanti Jack's Dream November 2nd. Its still 80°F to 75°F windy past few days with a bit of drizzle type rain. I can feel cold fronts starting to work their way down south to the Tropics. Jack's Dream Flowers continue to be covered in new white pistils. There is no foxtailing to speak on. The colas x4 are growing symmetrically, well rounded, and plump. Slight cone or spade shaped but more on the auxiliary flowers. I am really happy with the flower growth. Plump and fat. The weight of the colas have started to bend the branches slightly outwards and the flowers have started to grow up and along this bend. Kind of horizontally. Although it looks like we have 85% of the pistils turning red at this time, I am going to allow the plant more time to properly finish. The density of the buds are great and im really happy with their Plumpness. This strain or varietal is just a joy to grow. They all are too me haha. I just enjoy the growing part so much and I also enjoy the Zen Like processing portion when we dry and cure for optimal aroma and a smooth smoke. The old school aroma and growth pattern on this varietal is just cool. The leaf to calyx ratio are leaning more on the leafy side. Modern autoflowers seem to have the best leaf to calyx ratio and barely need any trimming upon harvest. Jack's aroma has gotten stronger and stronger the further we have gone through flower. It now has a very sweet lemony aroma, no skunk, no funk, just a sweet confectioners sugar lemon aroma. It does kinda have an old-school cannabis twist thrown in there but still nothing blowing on the wind. These aromas can only be experienced by lightly squeezing the flowers. Resin is greasy feeling and we can now see very small trichomes all over the flowers. Greasy not tacky. Its a weird one for sure. My Strawberry Gorilla RF3 I just harvested was so damn sticky it felt like I had glued my fingers together using super glue. So it really is a unique feeling. I've experienced this greasy resin on a previous grow and its more oily and smears like a very light grease. Smells incredible like sweet lemon bars. Harvest day should be right around the corner. Remember this plant was started as a late season experiment. Attempting to grow a photoperiod genetic short small and in less than 4 months total. My weeks are not correct on the diary. I will add start date below. Edit: Started August 15th 2026. Back in August I estimated harvest to be mid December. Looks like I was wrong and it will finish in under 4 months time. Fascinating plant. Fascinating experiment. Hope everyone enjoys the diary. Edit: Morning photos. Those flowers are really getting gnarly. For such a small plant. She really had a great yield. I can only imagine growing this genetic to its full potential. The flowers could probably get the size of a two liter soda bottle. Yield would be incredible grown full size outdoors as a full season plant. Wow.

ShivaShanti Surprise haha Jack's Dream woke up today and said, I am ready for harvest. Over the last 3-4 days we had light drizzle rains for a few hours each day with breaks for sunshine in between. Jack's Dream has powered through these late flower rains with ease. Not a single fear of butritis, mold, or mildew with this strain. If anything the rains have rinsed and cleansed the flowers of foreign pollen, flying dust particulates, and other wind blown contaminants that may or may not have been present on the flowers. Even though the resin is greasy on the fingers it will still collect wind driven contaminants. A nice cleansing rain is very helpful as long as the plants genetics don't force it into a meltdown like some modern polyhybrid strains (not pointing fingers) haha Jack's stems have begun to yellow very fast and they are getting wiggly. The bracts at the internodes are yellowing. She is ready. These signs are telling me that is time to chop. There are still some white pistils on the undersides of the flowers here and there. But over the last 24 hours Jack's Dream has surprisingly ripened rapidly. I have been using just Rainwater or Reverse Osmosis Water the last two weeks. Im not a proponent of flushing. The plant has shown me that it was sensitive to fertilizers over the last two weeks. Leaves started to show burn spots and such so I stopped all feeding. The sunlight will dry the flowers out throughly and I have staked the plant to provide support because of the weakening stems. I will begin the harvesting process tomorrow morning. At that time I will then give an in depth review for the cultivation of Jack's Dream.

Jack's Dream was an wonderful varietal to grow. My objective with this diary was to experiment with growing a photoperiodic cultivar late in the season. I planted Jack's Dream into a 3qt pot August 15th after germinating in a cup of dechlorinated reverse osmosis water. The plant grew pretty fast in the beginning, she grew vigorously and was very hardy. I decided to top her at the 6th internode. This in hindsight created an accidental structure of 4 main colas. Jack's Dream did not produce an insane amount of trichomes on the outside of the flowers early during the grow but later in the flowering cycle more and more trichomes appeared. Also the aroma was non existent until the plant yielded and told me it was ready for harvest. The plant ripened super fast over the last 4-5 days, white pistils changing into deep red almost overnight. During harvest a very sweet aroma of juicy fruit gum enveloped the area as I began wet trimming. This plant had minimal sugar leaves. I do not harvest sugar leaves anyways as again I do not use cannabis. This is just a hobby grow experiment for the joys of growing cannabis. I am very pleased with the heavy dense flowers and this sweet lemony juicy fruit gum aroma. Its intoxicating to smell over and over again. This pheno did not have sticky tacky resin. She had a greasy oily resin all the way through the grow. Very nice for harvesting and my scissors and fingers appreciated the break from super glue stickiness haha. Its seems the pheno that presented itself too me is closer to the A.M.S. side but still has that old school Jack Herer look to the flowers. Its definetely some red buds and im here for it. I don't believe i got the pheno displayed on the Green House website. That must've been a very special pheno. But im not complaining. Its always genetic roulette when dealing with crosses. Very easy to grow in a very humid environment with lots of rain and high tropical temperatures. No Mold or Mildew. No butritis or anything. Just sweet smelling flowers. Handled direct sunlight very well, never wilted or burned. This plant did have a higher leaf to calyx ratio and was a bit annoying to pick all the leaves out but I managed. I am very please that we achieved the goal i set out to accomplish. We grew this plant in less than 4 months outdoor in the tropics without a hiccup. I would grow this genetic again and I do still have 4 more feminized seeds. That I can plant next season. Im in a very wonky region. So I assume that will be March for me. Jack's Dream guys. Give it a try.
