The Fruity Duel

Terpyius Hey everyone, with this first post I'm officially starting my very first grow report! I've decided on a "head-to-head" between a Radical Juice by Ripper Seeds and a Cherry Poppers by Barney's Farm. The top two plants from the veg phase will move together into the 120x60x200 tent and kick off the flowering showdown after a short settling-in period—stay tuned!

Terpyius Die beiden Mädels haben heute ihre "neuen Schuhe" bekommen und wurden in ihre 15L Endtöpfe mit Sonnenerde Hanferde umgetopft. ​Passend dazu wurden sie heute auch direkt getoppt, um ein schönes, buschiges Wachstum und eine optimale Verteilung des Baldachins zu fördern. ​Zum Start im neuen Substrat gab es für jede Pflanze 2,5 Liter Leitungswasser zum Angießen. To encourage a nice, bushy canopy and multiple main colas, I also topped both plants today. After repotting, they received 2.5 liters of tap water each to settle them into the new substrate. They are looking incredibly healthy, vibrant green, and are handling the training and repotting like absolute champs! Terpyius Quick update on day 20 of vegetative growth (30 days since germination) I removed the large fan leaves and performed the first LST training sessions. The plants are looking super healthy and developing exactly as I expected.

Terpyius Current status: They were switched to flowering on day 24 of the vegetative stage and are now on day 2 of flowering – the light change has been officially initiated to begin the stretch. Left plant: Radical Juice (Ripper Seeds) is showing vigorous, bushy growth and making optimal use of the space in the tent. Right plant: Cherry Poppers (Barney's Farm) is developing in a compact, vigorous manner and is rapidly catching up in terms of appearance.

Terpyius The two plants have now started their stretch well and are currently growing approximately 5-10cm every 24 hours. Both plants are showing their first signs of flowering.

Terpyius Unfortunately, I had to take the Radical Juice out of the tent because it developed some pollen sacs and was showing strong hermaphroditism. Since the Cherry Poppers are purely female, I didn't want to take that risk. Now I've placed it in the middle and spread it out a bit to let as many shoots as possible grow upwards. Picture 1 shows the Cherry Poppers. The other pictures are of the Radical Juice.

Terpyius The Cherry Poppers are doing well, although the main stems are already really stretching (a known behavior with this strain), while the side branches have been taking it a bit easier. Pictures were taken from flowering day 24; on day 21, I defoliated them and removed everything I felt was too weak. Now, she's enjoying the slightly airier center and is going full throttle in flower development. She is still only getting water and Greenhouse Feeding Bio Enhancer every 14 days.
