Genetic Summary and Lineage:
Hokuzan (World Breeders) is a hybrid created in collaboration with Hidden Group Genetics, resulting from a cross between Hokuzai and Fizzy Gum (combining elite genetics such as Slapz and Grapes N Cream).
Meaning of the name "Hokuzan":
In Japanese, Hokuzan (北山) literally means "Northern Mountain." It’s a name that evokes strength, resilience, stability, and a majestic stature, perfectly suited to this robust and resinous strain.
🌿 Substrate Preparation (BioTabs Nutrients)
Initial Mix:
50 g of Startrex,
5 g of Mycotrex.
Mix well with the substrate.
Set aside 3 handfuls of this mix for the planting hole.
Soil Enrichment:
Add 50 g of Silicium Flash.
Mix well and fill the pot.
Base Fertilization:
Insert 3 BioTabs (fertilizer tablets).
Push the tablets to different depths, spacing them about 10 cm from the future plant location and from each other.
Planting:
Fill the central planting area with the 3 handfuls set aside.
Plant the seed in the center.
💧 Water Preparation
Test and control the pH using the Milwaukee pH tester.
My tap water has a high pH, so I adjust it with Plagron pH Down.
The pH is strictly set to 6.3 for all initial manual waterings, as well as for the future 100-liter AutoPot reservoir that will be put into service in 3 weeks.
🏯 The Legend of the Hokuzan Fortress: the impregnable stronghold.
In the 14th century, the island of Okinawa was divided into three rival kingdoms. To the north, dominating the dense jungle and steep cliffs, stood the Hokuzan fortress (Nakijin Castle). Built atop a rocky ridge surrounded by a deep ravine, this fortress of pure strength protected the rulers of the Northern kingdom. For decades, its winding limestone walls seemed utterly impenetrable.
But let’s go back in time, long before the wars and stone walls… To a time when Hokuzan was just a wild and untouched mountain, shrouded by the mist of the northern peaks. It was on these sacred slopes, under the watchful gaze of the forest spirits, that the legend of a plant with mythical power was born, capable of withstanding the harshest elements… And it is this story that we will write together throughout this grow.
💡 Did you know?
In Japanese, the traditional word for hemp/cannabis is Taima (大麻). In Shinto spiritual tradition, cannabis was not simply regarded as a plant, but as the ultimate symbol of purity and protection against evil spirits. Even today, during the coronation rituals of the Emperor of Japan, he must wear ceremonial robes made exclusively from purified hemp fibers.
A huge thank you to World Breeders for sending me this beautiful strain! It is undoubtedly one of the most stunning genetics I have ever seen, and I am really looking forward to watching it grow. ❤️❤️
