I had good luck with this strain last time in soil so I decided to try it in a DWC situation to see what it produces. I am growing this alongside a Cream Cookies Auto using the same nute schedule.
I finally got the 60DW in the hyrdoton. The rapid starters are far superior to the rockwool and I had long roots coming out after only a few days. I put the plate there to help prevent algae growth.
Week 3 had some strong growth on the 60 Day Wonder DWC as I expected since it was such a strong grower in soil. Tap roots still have not come out the bottom of the net but she's not showing any signs of deficiency so hopefully the roots will come out this week.
This strain never ceases to amaze me with it's strong growth and huge leaves. My last grow of this (in soil) ended up taking 101 days from seed to harvest so we'll see how the DWC does.
I gotta say this girl is THICC!!! I might take some of the bigger fan leaves off the top this week since she's not in preflower. I think it will help with more bud sites and a bigger yield.
This girl just keeps on getting thicker and thicker (just like the last time). I don't know about the 60Day thing because this took me 101 days in soil last time and it's still not showing flowers at 6 weeks in. I don't really mind it because the last batch produced so much herb that it was worth the wait. I topped the main stalk this week and also did some lower defoliation just because she is so thick that she blocks out all the light to the lower branches. I know I shouldnt stress an auto too much but she was just getting to big to handle.
This plant is insane... she's just now starting to show some pistils and she is just as tall as the Cream Cookies plant next to her. I get the feeling she is going to be a huge producer. I ended up doing some minor defolitation just so the lower branches can get 'some' light and she seems to have taken it just fine. The new nodes are starting to be closer together so hopefully she wont get much taller.
Well, she's finally starting to flower. I am a bit disappointed in this one as the buds don't look great and don't have any smell at all. I know it's early in the flowering cycle but this strain is literally called "60 Day Wonder" and there is no way in hell she will be done next week....
This girl just keeps on getting bigger and bigger and I don't know what to do about her. She doesn't smell like anything and her buds are scraggly at best....
