What can I say. Almost seems too easy. Just fed last Veg. Fertilizer. Only water till start flower then switch to Bloom fertilizer. I feed once every three waterings. Now have 1000W LED light under each plant
The girls are really starting to drink it up. Two taller ones under same kind of 1000w led light growing tall but a little slow to enter flower. The bushy shorter one is under a different 1000w led light and is entering flower much more so then two others. Should have fimmed them early in Veg. Didn’t , now I’ll have to tie main colas down as not to burn them up. I am height limited. Till next week
My lights are at max height. 2 of the plants are only 4 inches below lights. Taller then I like. I think I’ll go back to just fem. seeds. Those I can manipulate with pruning keep short and bushy with all same cola heights. Seems a little slow to kick into full bloom. Smell is really spicy and citrus.
Does anyone stay with Veg. Fertilizer for full grow cycle when growing Autos. I switched to bloom Fertilizer as soon as started to switch to flower but my greenery is starting to look a little shabby. Should I stay with bloom fert. and just add some Nitrogen to it Thanks.
Hey there JP, can't say for sure because there's no info on which ferts you're using , but what I can say for sure is that , no, usually with autos I don't use any ferts until flowering , using veg ferts throughout will mess up the NPK ratios in the soil and hinder the flowering because of too much N. However with some if not most bloom fertiliser it's ok to mix and match with a 1/4 to 1/2 dose of veg ferts to give it that extra N or "balance" the NPK ratio. What you don't want to do is end up with a 6-2-2 ratio when you should be at 2-4-4 npk . Does that make sense ? Hope this helps ! 🚀
Well burned top colas of the two taller plants. Got complacent. Didn’t raise lights in time. Smaller plant has brown Calcium deficit spots. Was going to add Cal-Mag but checked soil ph. Was 5.2. Calcium lockout I think. Did full flush for 2 days. Then just added fert. at 6.8 ph. Hope it helps. May never know. Only maybe 4 weeks of flower left for short plant. Two taller ones are slow to bud up. A little early but I don’t think I like autos. I like more control of all factors training, pruning, height and variety of strains. Oh well that’s about it. In general things are going very well. Until next week GROW ON
Well I cut off the top cola today. Hated to but the spreading brown spots on the leaves were getting too close to bud. Don’t really know what the cause. If brown spot leaf fungus played safe rather then sorry. I steam dried the bud in the microwave. I know. Let me tell ya it’s a week premature and dried completely wrong but WOW. When this grow it ready it’s gonna be for professional smokers. Can you believe that the short and tall been grown the same except different kind of led light. Amazing. If Autos can turn out killer G13 like I expect. God bless gene splicing. Going to harvest short plant no more then a week. Taller ones are lagging flower by about two weeks.
Leaf fungus getting too close to buds. Harvested about week early. Two taller girls will need a little time. They have fox tailed a little from light and heat burn of main colas. Might be slowing down flowering some. I’ll show tall two next week.
Week was uneventful. Ripening has slowed to a crawl. Plant on right will be harvested within week. I think the heat and foxtailing has stressed them into coma. I know that’s what this weed does to me. Yield is low. Buds fluffy and lite but the weeds kick makes it worthwhile.. I have 7 auto G13 seeds left so I should be able to keep a small private stock of this brain twisting strain. Till harvest grow on. Look forward to advice or comments.
Buds are light and kind of small. Had a hell of a lot of bud sites. Primary drying was very quick. Now ready for slow cure. Buds look a lot like my GG#1. Covered in brown hairs. Twice as potent as my GG. Well this is 3 months later and this G-13 is brain twister . The taste is like peppery dirt. This weed smells like peat moss a cat has pissed in. Lol but the fact is that it is one of the smoothest smoking strains I’ve grown. Worth a try.
