MontanaManMedical Time for another freebie grow. This one comes courtesy of Homegrown Cannabis Co., who kindly reached out. Thanks! Chocolope is a strain that I’ve wanted to grow for a while, but was concerned about the stretch and my ability to handle it.
Now that I have two monster sativas (Desfrán and Golden Tiger) under my belt, I’m comfortable growing this one. I’ve only seen it in dispensaries from time to time when I used to go, so I haven’t had the pleasure of enjoying it that often.
While the first seed didn’t pop, the second one did and looks healthy its first day of veg.

MontanaManMedical She’s still quite small, but looking strong and healthy. I’m starting off the nutrients on the light side. As you can see by the 4th picture, the roots haven’t gotten long enough to reach the reservoir, so I’m still manually feeding her for the time being. I doubt it takes more than a few days for the roots to reach the reservoir.

MontanaManMedical The plant has grown significantly, with the roots reaching the reservoir mid-week. I’m still keeping the nutrients light for another week, as the plant seems happy with the current amount.

MontanaManMedical Growth continues to accelerate, so I’ve upped the nutrients a bit, along with turning the light up from 75% - 100% power, as she now has the leaves to take advantage of the extra light. I did a little bit of defoliation, similar to what I did for Mimosa x The Brunch, in order to push growth towards the top of the plant. She seems to have responded well. The roots are looking bright and healthy.
