lasonda I am kicking off this new photoperiod experiment by announcing the birth of mademoiselle Lemon Pavlova ππΊ
update 27 of September:
The first leaves have a bizarre shape. This has happened to me before with other varieties, even from different seed banks. Iβve attributed it to an early-stage genetic mutation that eventually corrects itself.

lasonda I can consider it to be already in the vegetative stage; Iβm starting with a minimal dose of fertilizer. ?πͺπ±β€οΈ

lasonda Iβd say the vegetative stage has kicked off with excellent results. It already has a strong, well-formed stem, so Iβll wait a few days before starting the first LST. As you can see from one of the leaves, I had an issue with a leaf-mining insect, which I think Iβve now eliminated.πͺπͺβ€οΈ?

lasonda Today marks the start of the third week of the vegetative stage. Iβve begun some LST, and aside from looking a bit stressed on the first day, the plant has recovered well.

lasonda After some initial stress following the first LST the plant has regained its vigor. πͺ Some leaves appeared to show a minor calcium or magnesium deficiency, which I have since corrected. I am now better positioning the colas with further LST, though, in hindsight, I should have started soonerβthe central stem was already too well-developed to be subjected to much more stress.

lasonda Two days ago, I changed the light cycle to induce flowering, but I still consider this week to be part of the vegetative phase. Iβm not exactly an expert on photoperiod plants, but it seemed to me that the vegetative growth was already sufficient to warrant a change in the light cycle. πͺπ
