Bread_n_Buds Lemon Cherry Gelato F1 – Zamnesia Seeds | Germination & Early Growth Starting another grow diary with Lemon Cherry Gelato F1 from Zamnesia Seeds The beginning has been smooth and uncomplicated, with the seedlings establishing themselves well and showing healthy early growth. Lemon Cherry Gelato F1 is listed as an easy-to-grow, feminized photoperiod strain, with a balanced 60% Indica / 40% Sativa genetic profile. What makes this one particularly interesting is the F1 photoperiod genetics. F1 varieties are created by crossing selected parent lines with the aim of combining desirable traits while increasing genetic uniformity and stability in the resulting generation. In practical terms, this can mean more consistent plants from seed, with greater predictability in characteristics such as structure, growth pattern and overall development. Of course, individual plants can still show some natural variation. The listed parents are Sunset Sherbet × Girl Scout Cookies, with a reported terpene profile built around myrcene, limonene and pinene. The expected aroma combines sweet and fruity notes with pine, sour and tropical nuances. With an expected indoor height of around 100 cm, Lemon Cherry Gelato F1 should remain relatively compact compared with more Sativa-dominant varieties. The flowering period is listed at 9–10 weeks, with the strain also described as resistant to both diseases and pests. For this grow, I’m using the Zamnesia Ecosystem grow box, including its ventilation system, together with the Zamnesia Phytonaut LED 480W. Nutrition is provided by Zamnesia Vegan Grow. At this stage, the main goal is to follow how consistently the F1 genetics express themselves throughout the cycle and to see how the plants develop from early growth into the flowering phase. With the combination of Sunset Sherbet and Girl Scout Cookies genetics, the terpene development will also be something worth keeping an eye on as the plants mature. **Strain:** Lemon Cherry Gelato F1 **Breeder:** Zamnesia Seeds **Genetics:** Sunset Sherbet × Girl Scout Cookies **Genotype:** 60% Indica / 40% Sativa **Type:** Feminized, photoperiod F1 **Difficulty:** Easy **Terpenes:** Myrcene, Limonene, Pinene **Flowering time:** 9–10 weeks **Indoor height:** up to 100 cm **Outdoor height:** up to 200 cm **Reported THC:** up to 26% **Reported CBD:** 0–1% **Resistance:** Disease and pest resistant **Aroma:** Sweet, fruity, pine, sour, tropical **Reported effects:** Relaxing, energizing, euphoric, balanced Grow setup: 🌱 Zamnesia Ecosystem Grow Box 💡 Zamnesia Phytonaut LED – 480W 💨 Integrated ventilation system Zamnesia Vegan Grow All the products used in this grow are available at www.zamnesia.com

Bread_n_Buds Where I come from, there is great respect for autoflowers—which are evolving at record speed—but we still prefer photoperiod strains that have absolutely no "ruderalis" genetics. That’s why we always aim to grow photoperiods; they are often our personal "Fort Knox" of quality. Strain – This strain is a total bomb. We’ve already grown the standard photoperiod version, and the flowers were truly exquisite. Our macro photos revealed beautiful, giant-headed trichomes—much larger than average—which can actually clog up standard sieves; that large size is a sure sign of quality. Techniques – As is our custom, we’ll be growing two plants: one using training techniques (initial topping at the 5th or 6th node, plus transplanting) and one left to grow straight up. Pots – Right now, they’re in tiny germination pots, but we’ll soon move them to 11L pots (for the "no-technique" plant) and 15–18L pots (for the trained plant). Plant 1 – Plant 1 sprouted just over two weeks ago and is growing really well; there are a few minor signs of deficiency, but it’s easily fixable. Plants 2 & 3 – These two little seedlings sprouted only a week ago; they’re replacing one that I wasn't entirely convinced by. It’s probably always best to plant all the seeds from a pack and pick the best seedlings—otherwise, you risk leaving the best ones sitting in the packet. Fertilizer – We’re using the brand-new Vegan Grow from Zamnesia. Vegan Grow is a 100% plant-based base fertilizer for the vegetative stage. Rich in essential nutrients, it promotes vigorous development and robust plants. Use alongside Vegan Bloom for an optimal transition to the flowering stage. Bread_n_Buds We are now in the full vegetative stage, and our Zamnesia Lemon Cherry Gelato F1 Photoperiodic plants are keeping us busy, but we’re sure they’ll turn out stunning. We are about to perform the first topping and have cleaned up the plant that had a few minor issues—which are now resolved. The other is growing normally; I’ve transplanted the best of the two little ones you saw last week. Pots – One plant has been transplanted into an 18-liter pot and will be trained using either topping/mainfolding or main-lining; I’ll decide based on how it develops after the first topping. If the branches are short with tight internodal spacing and stiffen up quickly, I prefer mainfolding or repeated topping (aiming for 16 branches). However, if the new shoots have a bit more length and elasticity, I enjoy doing main-lining, which often requires some LST to best expose the buds to the light. Plant 1 (Techniques) – Plant 1—the one destined for training—had some issues with the transplant/nutrients but recovered almost immediately. I’m letting a couple of internodes grow out to get it fully settled, and once it’s in peak health, I’ll top it at the 5th or 6th internode. Plant 2 (No Training) – As soon as it was transplanted into the 11-liter pot, it really took off. It was planted much later than the others but is in excellent health—perhaps showing slight signs of excess light, as I’m pushing high PPFD levels suited for larger plants; for this reason, I’m positioning it in the more "peripheral" areas of the grow box. Fertilizer – We’re using the brand-new Vegan Grow from Zamnesia. Vegan Grow is a 100% plant-based base fertilizer for the vegetative stage. Bread_n_Buds The photoperiod plants from Zamnesia are growing inside an all-Zamnesia grow box, using exclusively Zamnesia fertilizers—and I must say, the situation in there is practically perfect. There are no issues whatsoever, no signs of nutrient excess or deficiency, so we’ve begun applying training techniques to the best-looking plants. We’re working with a brand-new F1 hybrid photoperiod strain, and expectations are high. The variety—Lemon Cherry Gelato F1 Hybrid—is Zamnesia’s photoperiod take on a modern classic, designed for those who want solid results with fewer complications. As a true F1 hybrid, it offers uniform structure, consistent vigor, and a reliable journey from seed to harvest. This genetics is an absolute powerhouse. We’ve grown the standard photoperiod version before, and the flowers were truly exquisite. Our macro photography revealed magnificent trichomes with enormous heads—well above average in size—so large, in fact, that they could even clog standard sieves. Such generous dimensions are a clear indicator of high quality. Techniques – This strain is phenomenal, so we’ve set up three plants. For Plant 1, I’ll decide shortly between "mainfolding" or "main-lining." Plant 2 will be grown normally with "fimming," and Plant 3 will be grown normally, focusing on a single main cola. Pots – One of the plants has been moved into an 18-liter pot and will undergo training techniques like "mainfolding" or "main-lining"—I’ll make the final call based on how it develops after the first topping. If the branches turn out short, with tight internodal spacing and rapid lignification (woody stem development), I’ll opt for "mainfolding" or repeated topping (aiming for 16 branches). If, on the other hand, the new shoots turn out to be longer and more pliable, I will opt for "main-lining"—a technique that often requires some LST (Low Stress Training) to better expose the buds to light. Plant 1 (Techniques) – The first plant is now in perfect condition; it has undergone its first topping and developed a main manifold. We are now nearly ready for a second topping—unless I decide to simply let it grow out and perform a main-lining technique without the use of LST. Plants 2 & 3 (No Techniques) – Both are growing very well and standing straight. One of them has been "fimmed" (FIM technique); it sprouted a bit earlier than the other, and I want to avoid an overly long vegetative phase that could cause it to grow into a giant. Fertilizers – We are using the brand-new Vegan Grow from Zamnesia. It is a 100% plant-based base fertilizer, ideal for the vegetative stage. Rich in essential nutrients, it promotes vigorous development and robust plants. It should be used in combination with Vegan Bloom to ensure an optimal transition into the flowering phase. Fertilizers available at www.zamnesia.com – https://www.zamnesia.io/it/14470-vegan-grow.html (For a local link, please perform a quick Google search.) Soil – We are using the excellent Plagron Bio Light Mix (www.plagron.com), which comes enriched with perlite. At the bottom of the pot, we added expanded clay (Euro Pebbles), along with mycorrhizae provided by https://www.florea.bio/ Variety available at www.zamnesia.com - https://www.zamnesia.io/it/14809-zamnesia-seeds-lemon-cherry-gelato-f1.html (For a local link, please perform a Google search) Lighting – We maintain a controlled light intensity of approximately 600 µmol/m²/s in the center and 520–550 µmol/m²/s toward the edges, monitored using the Phantom Photobio system (https://photobio.com/). Bread_n_Buds The photoperiod plants from Zamnesia are growing inside a complete Zamnesia-branded grow setup—including the grow box, lights, exhaust fan, circulation fan, and controller. I am using exclusively Zamnesia-brand fertilizers, and I must say, everything is practically perfect. There are no issues whatsoever: no signs of nutrient excess or deficiency. While there were some minor imbalances as the plants' needs shifted during the topping/main-lining process, everything is very well-balanced with these photoperiods this time around. We are working with a brand-new F1 hybrid photoperiod strain, and expectations are high. The strain, Lemon Cherry Gelato F1 Hybrid, is Zamnesia’s photoperiod take on a modern classic, designed for those who want solid results with fewer complications. As a true F1 hybrid, it offers uniform structure, consistent vigor, and a reliable journey from seed to harvest. The genetics are truly exceptional. We have grown the standard photoperiod version in the past, and the flowers were exquisite; our macro photography revealed magnificent trichomes with enormous heads—well above average—so large, in fact, that they could even clog standard sieves. Such generous size is a clear indicator of high quality. Techniques – This strain is phenomenal, so we have started growing three plants. For the first one, I will soon decide whether to use "main-folding" or "main-lining." The second plant will grow naturally, with the "fimming" technique applied, while the third will follow a standard development path, focusing on a single main cola. Pots – 18-liter and 11-liter plastic pots. Plant 1 – It has grown very well from the start; it experienced a slight slowdown during transplanting but bounced back immediately. We performed the first topping at the 5th internode, beginning a "main-lining" process that ensures the lower part of the plant remains clean, leaving only the top colas. There are already 8 new side branches developing; once we reach 16, we’ll continue the vegetative phase a bit longer before switching to flowering. Plant 2 (Main-lining) – It started off a bit slowly in the small starter cup, but once moved into an 11-liter pot, it began to thrive. We’ve just performed the first topping, and I’ve kept the two branches below it as a safeguard—or potentially for use as a clone. Plant 2 (Fimming) – This one is growing straight up, treated only with "fimming." It took off like a rocket, so I’m trying to keep it in check—otherwise, it might end up hitting the ceiling! Fertilizers – We are using the new Vegan Grow by Zamnesia. It’s a 100% plant-based fertilizer, ideal for the vegetative stage. Packed with essential nutrients, it promotes vigorous development and robust plants. It should be used alongside Vegan Bloom to ensure a smooth transition into the flowering phase; we’ll start mixing them once we switch to a 12/12 light cycle, at which point we’ll also introduce specific boosters and enhancers from the Zamnesia line. Fertilizers available at www.zamnesia.com – https://www.zamnesia.io/it/14470-vegan-grow.html (For a local link, a quick Google search is recommended.)
