Bread_n_Buds Lemon Cherry Gelato F1 – Zamnesia Seeds | Germination & Early Growth Starting another grow diary with Lemon Cherry Gelato F1 from Zamnesia Seeds The beginning has been smooth and uncomplicated, with the seedlings establishing themselves well and showing healthy early growth. Lemon Cherry Gelato F1 is listed as an easy-to-grow, feminized photoperiod strain, with a balanced 60% Indica / 40% Sativa genetic profile. What makes this one particularly interesting is the F1 photoperiod genetics. F1 varieties are created by crossing selected parent lines with the aim of combining desirable traits while increasing genetic uniformity and stability in the resulting generation. In practical terms, this can mean more consistent plants from seed, with greater predictability in characteristics such as structure, growth pattern and overall development. Of course, individual plants can still show some natural variation. The listed parents are Sunset Sherbet × Girl Scout Cookies, with a reported terpene profile built around myrcene, limonene and pinene. The expected aroma combines sweet and fruity notes with pine, sour and tropical nuances. With an expected indoor height of around 100 cm, Lemon Cherry Gelato F1 should remain relatively compact compared with more Sativa-dominant varieties. The flowering period is listed at 9–10 weeks, with the strain also described as resistant to both diseases and pests. For this grow, I’m using the Zamnesia Ecosystem grow box, including its ventilation system, together with the Zamnesia Phytonaut LED 480W. Nutrition is provided by Zamnesia Vegan Grow. At this stage, the main goal is to follow how consistently the F1 genetics express themselves throughout the cycle and to see how the plants develop from early growth into the flowering phase. With the combination of Sunset Sherbet and Girl Scout Cookies genetics, the terpene development will also be something worth keeping an eye on as the plants mature. **Strain:** Lemon Cherry Gelato F1 **Breeder:** Zamnesia Seeds **Genetics:** Sunset Sherbet × Girl Scout Cookies **Genotype:** 60% Indica / 40% Sativa **Type:** Feminized, photoperiod F1 **Difficulty:** Easy **Terpenes:** Myrcene, Limonene, Pinene **Flowering time:** 9–10 weeks **Indoor height:** up to 100 cm **Outdoor height:** up to 200 cm **Reported THC:** up to 26% **Reported CBD:** 0–1% **Resistance:** Disease and pest resistant **Aroma:** Sweet, fruity, pine, sour, tropical **Reported effects:** Relaxing, energizing, euphoric, balanced Grow setup: 🌱 Zamnesia Ecosystem Grow Box 💡 Zamnesia Phytonaut LED – 480W 💨 Integrated ventilation system Zamnesia Vegan Grow All the products used in this grow are available at www.zamnesia.com

Bread_n_Buds Where I come from, there is great respect for autoflowers—which are evolving at record speed—but we still prefer photoperiod strains that have absolutely no "ruderalis" genetics. That’s why we always aim to grow photoperiods; they are often our personal "Fort Knox" of quality. Strain – This strain is a total bomb. We’ve already grown the standard photoperiod version, and the flowers were truly exquisite. Our macro photos revealed beautiful, giant-headed trichomes—much larger than average—which can actually clog up standard sieves; that large size is a sure sign of quality. Techniques – As is our custom, we’ll be growing two plants: one using training techniques (initial topping at the 5th or 6th node, plus transplanting) and one left to grow straight up. Pots – Right now, they’re in tiny germination pots, but we’ll soon move them to 11L pots (for the "no-technique" plant) and 15–18L pots (for the trained plant). Plant 1 – Plant 1 sprouted just over two weeks ago and is growing really well; there are a few minor signs of deficiency, but it’s easily fixable. Plants 2 & 3 – These two little seedlings sprouted only a week ago; they’re replacing one that I wasn't entirely convinced by. It’s probably always best to plant all the seeds from a pack and pick the best seedlings—otherwise, you risk leaving the best ones sitting in the packet. Fertilizer – We’re using the brand-new Vegan Grow from Zamnesia. Vegan Grow is a 100% plant-based base fertilizer for the vegetative stage. Rich in essential nutrients, it promotes vigorous development and robust plants. Use alongside Vegan Bloom for an optimal transition to the flowering stage. Bread_n_Buds We are now in the full vegetative stage, and our Zamnesia Lemon Cherry Gelato F1 Photoperiodic plants are keeping us busy, but we’re sure they’ll turn out stunning. We are about to perform the first topping and have cleaned up the plant that had a few minor issues—which are now resolved. The other is growing normally; I’ve transplanted the best of the two little ones you saw last week. Pots – One plant has been transplanted into an 18-liter pot and will be trained using either topping/mainfolding or main-lining; I’ll decide based on how it develops after the first topping. If the branches are short with tight internodal spacing and stiffen up quickly, I prefer mainfolding or repeated topping (aiming for 16 branches). However, if the new shoots have a bit more length and elasticity, I enjoy doing main-lining, which often requires some LST to best expose the buds to the light. Plant 1 (Techniques) – Plant 1—the one destined for training—had some issues with the transplant/nutrients but recovered almost immediately. I’m letting a couple of internodes grow out to get it fully settled, and once it’s in peak health, I’ll top it at the 5th or 6th internode. Plant 2 (No Training) – As soon as it was transplanted into the 11-liter pot, it really took off. It was planted much later than the others but is in excellent health—perhaps showing slight signs of excess light, as I’m pushing high PPFD levels suited for larger plants; for this reason, I’m positioning it in the more "peripheral" areas of the grow box.
