00110001001001111O Total Days - 0 Germinated four seeds of four strains for a total of sixteen. Only eight plants will be taken to the flower area. Heat mat is set to rest at 76F. A humidity dome is used to prevent any need to irrigate while they germinate, but will be removed at first signs of sprouting. I won't bother turning the light on for a couple days. Should see some sprouts within 2-3 days. The rest will follow, shortly. I'll update with pictures to complete the germination week. Only the strongest will be taken to flower, but I will ensure that each strain is represented, too. I'll eventually split the diaries into individual plants in a few weeks when I know which make it. The average of sprout times will dictate when vege week 1 shows up - probably ~10 days from now. An XS1500 (150w) light will be used the first couple weeks at 15-50% power as they require more light. Then, I'll bump up to a couple 226-watt DIY lights dimmed to 67% power after potting up to 1-gallons. Once they reach the flower area, they'll be in slightly under-filled 5-gallon pots and under two 650-watt lights which will cover roughly 35 sq ft of canopy. This is a little too much. I'm debating running them at 80%. But, running at 100% with a greater hanging distance will give better light penetration and a more even distrubtion of light across the canopy. I have nearly four weeks to waffle over that decision. Hand-watering while it's small and manageable, and the irrigation and drain system will be setup in the flower area. Current water tank has a well-balanced mix of about 500ppm of fertilizer. Next refill will be up around 660 ppm, where it will stay until flower approaches. MSNL - Lava Cake Paradise Seeds - Mendocino Skunk Spliff Seeds - Mint Runtz Nobody's Buds - BB x GS Thank you to MSNL, Paradise Seeds, and Spliff Seeds for gifting a few strains. I have three more MSNL strains to grow in the 2027-2 diaries, which will start in late December - Cafe Racer, Carbon Fiber, and Cap Junky. HSC's Farmer's Daughter will be joining them, too. ======================================================================== Update... 1 day into of "vege" final tally 2.5 days - 1-2 LC and 1-2 MR (4/16) 3 days....- 1-2 MS and 3rd LC (7/16) 3.75 days- 3-4 MS, 4th LC, 1-2nd BG (12/16) 4 days....- 3-4 BG (14/16) 5 days---- 3rd MR (15/16) -- "days: 1" So, 15 technically sprouted. One stalled or died - never turned green and too far behind to bother. One germinated upside down and too far behind to bother. One did not germinate as far as i can tell and not waiting any longer as ... it's too far behind, lol. 13 chilling under the light. One of those has a singed coty. One may not have a growth tip. Another looks like a potentially malformed growth tip, but too small, yet. This is why I plant twice as many as I intend to grow. Even when you get a near 100% germination, shit happens that you can't control. Regardless, will have 10-12 pot up to 1 gallons, then only 8 will go to flower. Everything being used sprouted by day 3 or 4. Updates will come on tuesday and some plants will be 1 day older than the others.

00110001001001111O Total Days Above Ground - 7 All four germinated, but one is slower than the rest. Most likely strain to send 3 to flower. Gave too much light too early, which is a common theme across all 2027-1 diaries, lol. Now worries, as growth is fine and chlorosis is recovering. These were some of the earliest sprouts so they had more time to age before the mistaken application of light, which caused less of an impact. The bbxgs were the most effected While these are the most consistent early on, I expect everything to be fairly even by next week after potting up to 1 gallons. Probably pot up 10 plants to hedge bets. Eight will be taken to flower. The real decisions comes after 3 weeks above ground. Update 9 Days complete above ground - chlorosis nearly healed, picture added at end

00110001001001111O Total days above ground: 14 First four pictures were taken after transplant (12 days). The rest are after 14 days. Left column, front to back - MR2, LC3, LC1, MR1. Right column, front to back - MS2, MS1, MS4, MS3 The Mendocino Skunk plants are displaying good growth and health. Fourth set of true leaves spreading out, and the growth tip is working on 5th node. Consistency across all four plants is excellent. The extra 2 MS plants were just too good to pass up compared to the BBxGS options. I'll top these soon enough for 6 primary branches. The first 2 branches will not be used. Depending on how things grow, they'll be topped again for 10-12 total branches. These should safely end up with 12 primary colas.
