Decided to germinate the 3 SLH seeds I got with my order of seeds. 1 of the 3 seeds came out. The seed-shell just didn't come off after 6 days, so I removed it manually 🙀. I carefully put my thumbnails against each part of the shell and moved them outwards. It worked! Haha, I am definately sure the plant couldn't do this on its own because of the amount of 'force' I had to use.
I wonder how she will manage!
I put her in a small plastic pot, just to easier handle the soil humidity.
Weather in the Nehterlands was super crappy last weeks. Today I put her in a 6L Airpot wit 100% BioBizz All-Mix.
I also put in a Blumat Tropf dripper because of our vacation in a few weeks. I am not going to connect her to the dripping system yet, but it's already there so I will not damage the roots.
O.k. So, back from vacation. Plant grew quite a bit I think. Still think she doesn't look like the most happy plant on earth. I might be wrong, never had a Sativa till now, haha, it's my 4th strain I'm growing.
So, I guess the flowering stage started a while ago. I removed all potential popcorn buds (I hope). I really do not know the English word for removing these so if anyone can give me a clue?! Haha.

Oh, one more thing. A part of the lower fan leaves are turning yellow. Hope that's normal. My previous 3 pants also turned yellow, but that was way later when the buds were already there. Now, that's not the case. Anyway, I'm not worried, it just stroke me. Stroke me? Sounds weird, I'll blame it on Google Translate..... 😂
She grew 1cm. Weather is méh. Buds are forming. I think she will be ready around Christmas.
Oh, as an experiment, I pinched out one bud, on the top end. An old colleague I met told me that that removed bud would grow thicker and faster. Haha, we'll see....

I don't have a question on my current grow. But I would love to know a (preferred) autoflower with Pine taste and which is Indica (leaning). I am looking forewards to your opinion/experience!!
I found Sagarmatha Purple Pine cone but I don't know that brdr.
I grew a Northern Soul(photoperiod) from Seedsman that was very pungent and somewhat piney. I believe it was the Northern Lights parent that they mine came from. So if you can find a Northern Lights auto or something bred with it there's a good chance it will have the pine you are looking for. I would take a solid look at Seedsman's selection. They have a lot of great breeders. A quick search on their site found me a few high THC autos with pine as their scent/flavor. They are all actually from Fas Buds: Blue Dream'matic Auto, Stardawg Auto, Crystal METH Auto. I've seen quite a few great grows with Fast Buds seeds genetics. Also, take a look at Mephisto Genetics. They are supposed to breed top notch autos and they likely have something piney in their catalog.
So, she grew 1 cm in height. Buds seem to be forming a bit faster than the week before. Weather is picking up for the next fex days so I hope she will grow bigger (budwise). Oh, I noticed that she is finally 'praying' to the sun. when it shines. She rarely did that, but now she does it every time the sun shines. Haha, and yes, I am sure it't not because I under or overwatered her..... That's it for now.

Rain, rain, go away, come again agai-- - Very rainy weather and not looking good for the upcoming week. I decided to put miss SLH under the small perspex roof again. I am a bit afraid that mould will be inevitable if I don't cover her for the rain. I must say she got quite a bit thicker this week, which I'm happy with. She's still aiming her leaves towards the sun even when there is no sun! 👍

Week 16. Lots of rain. Took some macro shots of the buds and it seems the trichomes are allready white?! Crap, and the buds are soooo thin.... :-(
Oh, and the smell. It faintly smells like the Dinamed, quite fruity. Does not smell like lemon, nor super.
I really hope the buds will fatten up. If I zoom in, it looks like some trichs are getting brownish. Hope harvest can stay away for a while.
Thanks to Philindicus, he asked why I didn't use the 20mL. Oh man, I structurally used 2mL in stead of 20mL.... 🤣 So I upped the BioBizz nutrients.

------------------ Update 2nd October
O.k. I checked (thanks to Zonnetje) the Biobizz.com site and I actually did it the right way; 2ml/L. There is a chart on the internet which shows amounts per 10 Liters. I don't know why, but that chart gave some confusion.
I got old seeds, one of the 3 popped. Had to help her get rid of the shell. She grew super slow the first few weeks. Last 8 weeks she seemed happy and grew a bit faster. Too bad the weather was super rainy and cold. The brown trichomes surprised me as the speed the brown trichomes were coming.
One thing I noticed was that all the trichomes on the plant were equally developed. So I could harvest the whole plant at once, which is nice.
Another cool thing I noted was that the pistels of the most upper buds were quite white, while the lower pistels were allready brownish! Compared to the auto’s I grew which had the opposite.
Conditions for this plant were quite miserable and I think that when weather was better she would have produced thicker and smellier buds. Curious for the results.
I put her under a small roof to protect her from the rain as I think she might have lower resistance to bud-rot than, say, Indica’s. But I’m just a noob, so take a grain of salt with this…😁

Vape report! 3-12-2019
So here’s the vape report. Taste is awesome! Wow, yep, that’s lemon indeed. Kind of like a blend between fresh lemon and a overripe lemon. Because the buds are so fluffy I can only take 3 hits from my Dynavap. If I heat it for the 4th time it’s so dry it starts combusting. The buds are at a RH of 62% by the way.
The effect is uplifting and it gives you a kind of ‘I feel good’ vibe. I don’t know if I’m insensitive to Sativa’s but that’s the main part of the effect. If I vape more of it a very light body high occurs. To be honest, this is not my cup of tea, accept for the taste. By growing this strain I’m thinking: Hmm, maybe a Blueberry strain would also be nice….. Maybe next season! Thanks for following and checking my diary! 😘

O.k. So first I wasn't really fond of the effects. These buds aren't as powerfull in effect as for example the Hindu Kush. But if I vape just a little more than I'm used to, my IBS issues flow away!
This is super amusing. I spent hours and hours on Leafly to find strains that could help. Than the strain that I got as a freebie works best. I seriously would never choose this strain with the knowledge I had at that time. Glad I got those free seeds. I will try to grow Blue dream somewhere at the end of summer. I think Blue Dream is also a Haze Pheno?! Anyway, I still got enough SLH, maybe I'll find a strain with similar effects.
Almost forgot. This strain is also amazing for muscle relaxation. And it is considered to be a Sativa dom strain. If I compare it to the HIndu Kush effect, I like the SLH more. HK is also nice, but if you just take one puff extra the body high can be really intense and it will keep me up when I want to sleep. The HK is less muscle relaxing but more of a body buzz.

Last plant of this season
So in my last diary I noted that I saw some brown trichomes. That was on tuesday the 1st of October. A few days later there were more and I decided to give miss SLH one last day in the sun on saturday 5th of October. I chopped her this moring, the 6th of October..
Oh man, thin buds, smell is quite o.k. Not as strong smelling as the Hindu Kush Auto I grew this summer. The the smell is quite similar. Citrussy and a bit fruity.
The weight with thick stems is 81 gram. Haha, when dried and stems removed it will be 8?! 🤣
Dicided to dry her in my mini-greenhouse. I will put the heat mat on for an hour and than switch it off for an hour. Humidity is high and the temperature is low in my small garden house here in the Netherlands. I will keep an eye on the humidity and themperature inside the greenhouse (I hung up a hygrometer).
When dried and cured I will definitely make a vape-report! Thanks for following and commenting everyone! Lots of love!
