Hey growerz!! For this summer cycle we wanted to pair our last bean of Zombie Kush with something sweet n sugary, so what better choice than Braincake 😂 This two strains are named to be grown together!!! 😁We hope to be able to bring out some really sweet Do-si-Dos realness!! 😛
This cakes are baking great! 😁It was already noticeable in the first week but now is even more clear that the two plants have a quite different structure! They definitely share some common traits but one has reeeaaally thin leafs with elongated stems and is a bit more stretchy, while the other one is bushier and has some fat leafs! We FIMmed both at the end of this week just over the 5th internode!😎
Yo!! 😁This strain has kind of a chilled growth during veg, the BC#1 stays true to her "sativa-look" and have stretched a bit at the internode under the FIM cut. Both of the plants are quite slow recovering, they reacted, but not in such an impressive way! BC#2 has gone crazy on the development of one side branch, we tide it down, BC#1 had grown a bit more in the lower branches and is developing 4 tops, so..... kind of good anyway! Will they become monsters during early flower stretch?? We'll see...😗
4th and last week of veg!! The recovery from FIMming has been quite slow, kind of ok anyway, all the side branches had the time to reach a good height. Both plants developed four main tops, hopefully they will be packed!! 😄There is not much need to tide down branches as the structure is very open and everything gets light evenly!
Yo there! 😃Switched this Braincakes to flowering after four full weeks of vegetative growth. During the last few weeks here we had some reaaally hot days and even if the light flips on from evening till morning, especially during the first hours inside the box we can have to a max of 35° Celsius!! For Braincake #1 the struggle is REAL 😩as u can see in the pics the higher leaves are burnt, we lifted the light even more and hopefully this and the cooler temperatures that are going to come will help her to recover. Braincake #2 is going good, super strong structure, the branches and the stems seems about to explode 😅A few withe dots appeared on two leaves, also on the zombie kush that is growing along, they didn't spread, but we feel sorry for their pain 😪
Here has gone the second week of flowering for this Braincakes. Lately the temperatures dropped a bit and they are feeling and growing much better. 😌No more burnt leaves, all the new sprouts are nice and green!! Till now both plants aren't showing any sign of flower development, not even small calyxes! 😯
Almost fourth week of flowering. Finally some calyxes and trichomes are showing!! 😄A few white thrips appeared around our wonderful cakes!!! We are spraying a solution of neem oil, they got to dieee!!! 😡😆BC#1 is just a bit behind with flower production, anyway the little calyx formations seems to be pretty similar on both plants!
Picz are from the end of the 7th week of flowering. We've been kind of busy working this summer 😬We managed to get rid of most of the thrips, there's no more of them near the plants, found just a couple more on the box sides. Super hot temps and maybe some other lil stress slowed a lot this flowering!! BC#2 is at a good point producing some amazing looking hard-rock lil buds!! 😃
Lovely plants could have been this ones!! 😖Really amazing potential but for us this grow has been kind of a disaster, lots of learning material, but conditions where pretty bad the summer during this cycle and we didn't had that extra time to maintain them properly!
As for the Z.K that was in the same cycle we could not get proper weights n everything plus on this braincakes we "lost" one of the plant cuz of root problem in late 😎flowering, had to chop it real fast n resulted in a bunch of poor budz😩Our bad, we'll do great next grow, and still got a bean of this!!
